I wish that Mazda USA introduces this Mazda2 Hybrid in the USA soon.

A very informative test drive and for once not concerned about the plastics

I tested the Yaris hybrid, I got 74mpg on a thirty minute test on mixed roads. I wasn’t even trying either so with a bit of careful planning 90 plus mpg is possible.

Thanks for your video. Here in the United States the car you reviewed is not available at this time. I take it your MPG was based on the imperial gallon and not the U.S. gallon which is 128 ounces.
If the price of the car was low this would be an ideal commuter car here in the states. There are a lot of cars and car manufactures that are not available in the United States, but are available in Europe, that at one time were. Peugeot, Renault, Suzuki are a few of them.

Yes it will be imperial and not the US gallon, not sure of the conversion rate but still very impressive especially when we pay $8.49 per imperial gallon

PEUGEOT has some great small cars. The current 208 is the best competitor in this segment at the moment and best selling car in Europe for 2 years in a row

Where it wins over the Yaris is this is available with 15 inch alloys which gives this a far more comfortable ride quality. Ive tested the Yaris twice and the ride is too firm on the larger wheels. You feel poor surfaces too easily. You don’t want that in a smallish car. Im sick of manufacturer’s slapping big wheels and low profile tyres on everything because they think it looks better. No it doesn’t, its a fashion trend and id rather have ride comfort over pretentious design.

It's a Toyota Yaris Hybrid - and there's nothing wrong with that at all

    Four vital things:
How well or poorly does it cope with potholes (were you on 15" or 16" wheels?)?
Roughly what percentage inaccuracy would you reckon to allow for that screen mpg reading - ie what is the real world figure in your opinion...?
Many report huge wind noise and tyre roar at motorway speeds but no mention by you - what exactly was >your< experience in this respect?
Finally, how clear or otherwise are the •graphics and •voiceover instructions on the •satnav? (I'm aware that it doesn't have a built‐in device and therefore has to be connected via a smartphone cable presumably - yes/no?)
I'd greatly appreciate your answers, please, AND confirmation as to which model you were testing. You didn't reveal that info in your presentation....

Still can’t help picturing a Toyota Yaris they have such a similar style.

Thats because it IS a Yaris, adopted by Mazda so as not to incur financial penalties
