My son recently graduated from WWA, and I cannot express how impressed I am with how this training facility works to help these students. I teach high school welders, and encourage them to seriously look into WWA as an option to continue their welding careers. Most importantly, I appreciate the way instructors there take the time to get to know their students, and invest their time into the students to make them successful well after their training. Thanks for promoting a great trade!
Very well stated. Honest also because welding isn't for everybody. Too many think welding school will be like high school shop where you screw around with your buddies for a few hours a week and build a go-cart that never runs.
Your program seems very well run......and the honesty you put forth is fantastic, Congratulations on the success of all your students....... do not stop being who you are..... cheers from Florida, Paul 'Paulie' Brown
My son is starting July first, he's paid all his down payments. My only worry is he isn't going with a car. What are the percentages of students that bring and students that don't bring a car, and has it ever been an issue that housing was to far to reasonably walk if they had to. Or is there usually other students that will help those that don't have a car with them.
Yes, we have had students who haven't brought a car with them - they usually pay their roommates gas money to travel back and forth. We do recommend that they have some backup to get back and forth should they not have a ride. But as long as they make friends with the other students on their shift they shouldn't have a problem.
