New Engine For Sweet Heart Roadster and More!! - Week In The Life Of Iron Trap

- While away fro Moultire Swap meet Steve was able to get a lot of work done around the shop. He mainly worked on the 1934 5 Window Coupe "Beautiful" badly damaged wiring. We initially thought only the front portion of the car needed to be re-wired but after looking closer the entire car needs to be rewired. Steve also took the Stromberg carburetor off and gave it a deep cleaning in our new Eastwood Sonic Cleaner. The carb looks like new, and "Beautiful" runs so much better. Matt also worked on the doors for the 1933 3 window, and gathered some parts for the 1932 Schroll Coupe. Mike is still going through the pallets of parts from the body shop adventure and is slowly identifying all the parts. Matt ends off the week buying a ready to run Cadillac 331 for the Sweet Heart Roadster. That's a wrap on week full of work and errands, thanks for watching!!!

Great video Matt!!! I love old-school Rod and Custom!!!! I learn so much from your channel. Thanks for sharing.
My condolences about Gabe. Nothing more important then family and our pets give unconditional love.
Loosing a beloved pet is rough. Thanks to keeping it real!
Don't worry about the picking, (or lack of). Just great to see around the shop and project updates.
Thanks Matt, Mike and Steve! Some great progress, Mike got the worst job this week, but that's nothing compared with losing a pet.
Heh Matt you ever stand back and look at your the shed of paradise. Just love your workshop. Rip for you pet moggy. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Man sorry to hear about your pet, it’s always hard when something like that happens. The dad’s daily car was looking good in the video!
RIP hard Gabe! Love the olds and Cadillac mills in hot rods!
The purpose of the headlight relay was to carry the current to the headlights without going through the headlight switch. In other words, the relay provided the full current load to the headlights while the switch provided only enough current to power the relay. Those 6-volt headlights had a huge current draw, and the headlight switch was not designed to carry that load. Also, headlight relays were used in conjunction with the dimmer switch. Remember the round button on the floorboard.
I am truly sorry for your loss...stay positive and remember the good times!
Condolences regarding your cat, I know how attached we get to animals. Its good to see the projects all progressing. I think your winter work in the shop is every bit as interesting as the shows and picks. I look fwd to the next installment

I know that you like your channeled rods, but that model A, showing off that '32 chassis, in my opinion, will be hard to beat!!!
Hey Matt Thanks for sharing your adventures, love the videos.
Regarding the small SCOT blower, you do have a Riley motor in the corner that would be a perfect fit
Sorry about your cat man. Just lost my dog. I enjoyed the video. Enjoy FL!

It's really interesting just to see how you manage day to day..
I get a better understanding of what it takes to progress from one stage to another. Learn something from every video.
Sorry to hear about your Cat going off to kitty heaven.
I hope my Cat Pumpkin outlives my 67 years old a#@ so I don't have to go thru that.
Nice catch up vlog on what's going on with you guys at the Iron Trap Garage.
Mike's busy doing the sorting and shelving your finds, Steve's getting lots done and you're going off to Disney for well earned vacation with Kate.
Safe travels Matt.

Beautiful sounds Beautiful at tickover
Sorry bout your kitty matt.
They get in your heart.
Touring the old Baltimore GM assembly plant's last station were engine start and final inspectIon. Tools laying on each side of the assembly trolley delivered Astro van were paint protecting, a HUGE rubber mallet, terry bath towel and foot long 2 x 4 to adjust door gaps, latch and hinge locations before driven out the door. To bring a sunken door out to flush they would wrap the towel around the wood, with opened door insert between the jam and door on hinged side applying a little door closing pressure past the binding point completed most tasks.
With that many projects going at once man I'd get all confused on what needs what 👍😀
A lot of those small SCOT blowers were used as aircraft cabin pressure systems....
Once you bend the hinges to where you think they're good... maybe heat then rapid cool them to temper the steel to a little harder temperment. More likely to retain their position that way... or not lol It does work though on something as compact as a hinge of that size.
Them round windows in the warehouse might be for a Thunder Bird
It always looks cold in where you are. I'm sitting in 46*c today.
When I did Model A's years ago there was a place called Job Lot Ford in Queens Village, NY.
They had stuff for 1909 to 1957 Ford parts in their warehouse. All OEM.
6:26 What type of solvent are you using in the ultrasonic tank
Love these videos
I see black fuel lines that are going to feed triple carbs on the green coupe. Will you be using clear lines as done in the period ? I had them on my 41 F cpope with the 53 Merc. Wish I still had some pics of that car. It had a dual point dizzy that was horrible .
Love your shop, time for an addition for the painted/finished cars. Espicially the red sedan.
Rip gabe
Hey Matt, first off, I would like to tell you how sorry I am to hear the news about your kitty 😺. I hope that Kate is doing well, and Moon too.
Back to car stuff, ha ha, seems like Steve knows his shit when it comes down to it. I like Steve quite a bit. Oh yeah, I see that you have Mike running around pretty hard, doing this and doing that. Being stuck in that Humongous warehouse has got to suck for Mike. Cold as all get out, no one to talk to, ha ha, but, if he wasn't enjoying what he's doing, he wouldn't be there, Right? He hee!
It sure would be nice if you could concentrate most of your time on your dads car and get the ol' gal up and running, in tip top condition and surprise him with it, way ahead of schedule. I'm sure that he would love it!
I thought that my father had quite a lot of years to go before I lost him. There were so many things he planned to do.
You really never know when you might loose a parent. Yup, the big "C"
popped up outta nowhere and a few months later he was gone. Sorry to go on about this, but for your sake and your viewers, maybe get your dad's car going. All in all, I pray that you and your entire family are well.
Another great show Matt! Thank you so much my friend. I hope that you and the guys enjoy the rest of the weekend. Stay warm & keep the Hot Rod juices flowing Bro! 👌😃👍
Hi guys. In seeing your warehouse/part sorting operation, I am looking for the hood latch plate for a 46-48 Chevy car. I found truck ones in $25-$30 range but car plates are different. I realize you guys don't use that vintage Chevy stuff. So if you come across one...PLEASE think of me.
SCOT needs to be put on a 4 banger
That Guide taillight pedestal looks like late 30's LaSalle
Very sorry, cats are cool. I've had many but I still weep when I loose one. I think he waited 'till you got home.
Will that blower work on that 4 cylinder motor you have in the back?
Sorry about your cat, dude. Sucks. Just recently lost my DouBull Mastiff. Rough stuff.
What ever happened to the young kid that was building the Model T? Was his name Andrew?
He went on to other things. He lost interest in his car .
If you got time a tool's that don't suck video that would be great ty Steve
I've got a dual four barrel intake for a 331 Caddy that's looking for a home.....
Matt i dont think thats a good ideal having your grinder that close to your touch tanks
Mike needs a table to sort parts ,when he get older he'll know why!!!!!stand up and work!
Love ya Matt but making people work on Thanksgiving ...? You are still awesome though!
Sorry for the loos of your cat.
Eastwood products, made in USA????????
Sorry about your cat, losing a pet is never easy as they become family.
If Steve is doing a good job then why poo-poo his work and try to take credit. 5;30 - 5;39. "All he did is..." All he did is something you don't do, give him props. You are good at other things and that is why we are here. Will make you look better.
It’s called a joke. Steve isn’t offended nor should you be.
Sorry you lost you cat mate you can very attached to pets
Sorry to hear about your cat, unless your a cat person it's hard to understand the loss.
