While French could be a subject in every school, Malayalam is not taught in any school in Canada. We have an only Malayalam policy at home, in which we parents talk only in Malayalam, in turn letting our children pick up the language on their own. Our kids are turning 4 and 2 this year. They speak (does not write) good malayalam so far 🙂.

We get a monthly amount per child (Canada Child Benefit). The exact figure is based on our family income. In addition we also receive daycare subsidy (as mentioned in this video). Last year we also got additional amounts with few Covid related programs government initiated as all kids had to learn from home. Canada is very supportive of kids!

Sep 2022 processes starts as early in January 2022. Vannu appol thannae oru school-ine contact cheytho. She is eligible definitely. If school has an open spot they would definitely take her in!

Thanks for this great content. Could you please explain about vaccination report I need to bring from kerala? The same card provided by health guys with dates of vaccinations is enough? Could you please elaborate?
Great question! We definitely have to bring the vaccination record from India (indicating what the vaccine is, date/age in which it was given). But after landing we will have to get it copied/converted to a Canadian vaccine record book. Here, we maintain a two page small-sized immunization book for each kid and this can be given by our family doctor/any doctor in Canada. I got mine converted from a walk-in clinic in Canada. Docs here will have to see our Indian version and then they help us convert it to Canadian format. They do it for free if we have our health card.

It all depends if the school have an open spot to be accommodated. Some may be understanding if they have a spot open. It is best to contact the school in person and then plan your date of arrival.

It is a credible program. But there are lots of agencies that guarantee PR/jobs, I would be cautious if I were you, when dealing with such agencies. Thaniyae joli kandu pidichu varunnavarum undu through AIPP.

Can we apply for farm type of jobs without ielts of 10th qualified
Farm Worker Visa does not require IELTS. But from what we know Indians cannot apply for it. Some countries are exempted. We would need an LMIA to proceed as per this type of worker visa (NOC C or D) to proceed. A consultant would be more educated than us, in this aspect.

Same process as those who are here on PR. So it is not any different from, as explained in this video. Kids would have free school education irrespective of their parents visa/PR status.

Kids' brains are smarter than we imagine! They capture quickly. Ivide vannittu kurachu maasathinu ullil avaru English, Englishkaarude pole paranjolum. We have two kids of the same age, and with them we practice an 'only Malayalam' policy at home. Our 4 year old daughter started school a couple weeks back. Ippol avalu Malayalam marannu pokumo ennanu njangalude pedi. 😄

Yes, they also maintain mandatory standards set by the government. Catholic schools teach catholic faith too. Athreyeyullu. And also no uniforms in public schools.
