- This DIY sensory toy fidget board is perfect for kids with autism and/or SPD (sensory processing disorder). Autism and sensory specific toys are expensive. How about a DIY easy to make fidget you can make on the cheap?
this is a real father. dude this is so sweet and I'm glad you can take the time and do something like this to help out other families who are having trouble with these kinds of things. love your vids and your daughter is beautiful btw
Xavier Verdugo Thanks a lot and thanks for watching.

I agree bro
Well done it can be hard when your daughter or son has special needs
You sir are a complete genius your a very loving father!!! God bless you and your beautiful daughter!!
Ana LaGoy Thanks so much!
I recently found your channel and I love it. I have autism myself and it is really good to see a father stepping up to the challenge of raising a child with autism. It's always the mothers I see, so it's really good to actually see a father like you who is so involved.
DAD OF THE YEAR🎉...not only funny but loving and creative. Thank you for sharing this amazing idea 👏🏼 God bless you and your daughter 💞
I love your glue gun!!! My son is not autistic, but I find that sensory toys are a great way to explore and learn. I love this cutting board idea!
+The Stuffed Life Thanks, I have wanted a new glue gun for awhile but this one won't seem to die. Pink with polka dots forever I guess. I'm going to do some more DIY sensory toys very soon. Thanks for watching!
STUFF CURRY 😲😲😲
"I have a cordless drill, probably not gonna use it: but it makes it a more manly project" LOL
I'm thinking of making toys for people with disabilities but I'm going to make the IT cheaper to buy. For example a sensory toy like the one in this video online usually goes for $50+ but my products are only going to be $10-30 depending on the products
Cool! 👍 Keep us updated!
I'm sure there are a lot of people in the #maasssquad that would be interested in buying reasonably-priced sensory toys :)
YOU ARE AWESOME! Your daughter is in good hands. I can't wait to watch more, now that I am a subscriber.
+Stacy Badon Thanks for subscribing!
“I might not use it, but it makes it a more manly project” 😂 😆

Thank you so much for making these videos. My son is nearly 7 and is on the high functioning side of asd, he tends to have meltdowns due to over stimulation and I have been trying to figure out how to create a sensory room for him here at home (they have one in the public school he attends) that isn't going to break the bank, and most i've seen are people buying pre-made toys and building entire actual rooms. We're putting our sensory room behind our built in bar between our living and game rooms. I've only watched a handful of your videos and already I have more ideas for what we can do with ours. Thank you again.
You are such a great father. Every child needs a father like you.
that looks like an epic tactile experience! I'm not autistic but I'm such a 'feeler'/ tactile person....i just love feeling different textures so i can only imagine how much fun it would be for abbie.
A sensory toy I have to keep myself calm at all times is an easy diy that I'm sure your daughter would like as much as I do, even tho I don't have autism
First get 5 key rings
Next take one of them and loop some beads on it
After link all five together in a circle
You can add some ribbon or a clicker if she likes that, and your done
I love mine and I'm sure she will too!!
I am a grandmother of a 6 year who is non verbal and also has severe ADH my son looks after him .
You are giving me a lot of help so I can help him so thanks so much .
We are trying the toilet training we live in Ireland
“I’m probably not gonna use it but it makes it a more manly project” I’m dead 🤣
When I fidget, I usually use whatever is available like a pencil eraser, a button, or a beaded necklace. I used to spin plastic bottle lids in middle school.
This is amazing! Both my little brothers have autism and I would love to make this, They would love this as their little hands play with everything they can get their hands on
charrar man Go for it! It's super easy to make and if they mess it up it's easy to fix.
This is a fantastic idea. I’m trying to come up with some more out of the box ideas for my kiddos at work, and one of my colleagues today mentioned a giant sensory board when I brought in a small sensory mat I had bought. I think I’m going to try and make something like this. Thanks for the idea!
Have you ever tried reversible sequin fabric? It would be really great on this sensory board, it has a really cool texture. :)
+Anjali ;-; Yes! We did another video where Her brother made her a weighted lap pad out of it.
I love the idea of using a cutting board! Thank you for the inspiration
“Today we’re going to make a fidget board “
Me: grabs old keyboard from attic
“Okay I’m done”
Im 13 and I have SPD and this really helped!
I actually have SPD and I think this looks really neat!
you are such a great dad
Awesome! I'm a 12 year old kid who has ADHD and watching this gives me so much ideas!also you daughter is really pretty
So I love to fidget and even sensory toys that would normally interest autistic kids who love them..I love them too😄you guys inspire me
coming back to this video as a fidget board becomes an intrest. I've recently been watching more tv and spending time out with the family and its not as sensory friendly as my bedroom and i make a mess or stim toys. You guys are still one of the only channels that is targeting autism towards these videos as the rest are normally with toddlers and its not fair. Glad you guys are making videos
Your humour is so cool
That is an AWESOME idea! Thank you for sharing!!!
I want one of those! I'm going to make one. Thank you for the idea.
You're such a cool dad! Love the idea!
i just made one by myself and i used stuff around the house like old earbuds, beads, a straw, ziplock bags, fabric, slime, plastic cups, pipe cleaner, old squishies, and rubber bands!!
Awesome and so inspiring. Thank you very much. Your videos motivate me to try new things and keep pushing.
Amazing! So sweet of you! ✨💕💕💕
LOVE IT:) she is adorable!
"we have a glue gun pink with polka dots... that's essential" i laughed but so true
DIY sensory. Love the project ASA.
*PERFECT*
You are a awesome dad! Your so nice!
You got the marketing sharks sussed mate. Nice one! :)
+Kerry Small Ha, thanks.
FatheringAutism your one heck of a dad :)
UnderPaidGamer Thank you! I do what I can
You sir have shed a different light on my autism as I am trying to find stuff to keep me from figiting. Thank you so much. I was diagnosed with autism two years ago and I am 15. So many thanks to you. 😀😀🇺🇸🇺🇸😀😀 And so I subscribed for more.
Your daughter is so lucky to have you!
This was so cool and fun to watch i enjoyed watching you have a cool and fun family abbie
I like your videos. This one is informative and very funny.
It's kind of sickening with the prices of "SENSORY" toys. I'm building a sensory table for my girlfriends day care room. I was diagnosed with autism as a toddler and just designing this thing has been fun. The build is coming soon... I might just play with it before delivering it :) Thanks for the additional ideas (slinky and Velcro).
I made one similar to this for me and my two cousins ( we all have spd) and we all love it
I am on the autism spectrum and this is such a good idea
so helpful to know and awesome to learn especially as someone who wants to work with children with disabilities.
I should make this to cope with my mental health issues, thankyou for the idea! I bet my friend would benefit from this aswell😄
+AwkwardPanda 83 Absolutely!
So sweet I love it 😭😭💗💗
best dad EVER~!!!!!!
It reminds me of the feel box I made for the preschool Sunday school class it was just different material glued to a box I don't have it any more because it messed up it was just a show box with different stuff on it.
That looks pretty awesome and super creative!!!! 😊😄❤💙💜💚 xo
I’m incredibly jealous because I have ADHD and fidgets are my heaven 👁_👁
Genius indeed. I love 💕 it
I'm praying for you guys through Irma! Stay safe!
You my friend, are a really good dad
the silkies will be her favorite
Love it. I would've put a slinky on the beaded headband thing but like you said, we can do what we want.
I found your video whilst looking for fidget toy DIYs for my students with ADHD, ASD and other issues. I backed the Fidget Cube project on Kickstarter, but it's going to be a while before I can get my hands on one.
This board reminds me of the often hand-made sensory corners in special ed rooms. I think someone would take the time to do what you're doing but dangle materials through pipes or something to make a bit of a sensory cubby house. Those things are fantastic, I kinda want one for my own future dream house's sunroom.
Cee Kay That's a really good idea. I'm glad you came across it. Be sure to subscribe because I will be doing a video this week on 3 cheap and easy DIY sensory toys that you may be able to use as well. Thanks for watching!
That's awesome :) Thanks for making the videos.

I also have a friend that also has autism and rocks forwards and backwards but most of the time flaps him hands
rattie home It's very calming for her. She flaps when she's excited too. Thanks for watching!

I don’t have autism I might have something or maybe I’m just weird but I love fidget things and I would absolutely love something like this! I think I’m gonna make one out of cardboard and some random things I have!

ChefRalphie Ha, Thanks. I've got some shirts coming in specifically for vlogs.
Business idea.
Sensory toys for cheap.
+Relative Infinity We actually used to sell some DIY Sensory Toys. With the materials and the labor it was more of a labor of love than a profitable business but it was fun.
try making a clothspin fidget toy, works great!
I am so happy that you maked this for your daughter! Only, why does she shakes so much (just confused)
Your so wholesome
These are perfect for me I’m not autistic but I have a fidget cube and it would work because I have stress and anxiety

This guy us cool. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I wish we (me and the family) had muns for Things like this
Cool
If you want to make this without a big board and a drill or anything just use a piece of cardboard and use random objects in your house and hot glue/duct tape it to the board easily!
try tangles (tangle toy)
