I recently found your channel and I love it. I have autism myself and it is really good to see a father stepping up to the challenge of raising a child with autism. It's always the mothers I see, so it's really good to actually see a father like you who is so involved.

I'm thinking of making toys for people with disabilities but I'm going to make the IT cheaper to buy. For example a sensory toy like the one in this video online usually goes for $50+ but my products are only going to be $10-30 depending on the products

Thank you so much for making these videos. My son is nearly 7 and is on the high functioning side of asd, he tends to have meltdowns due to over stimulation and I have been trying to figure out how to create a sensory room for him here at home (they have one in the public school he attends) that isn't going to break the bank, and most i've seen are people buying pre-made toys and building entire actual rooms. We're putting our sensory room behind our built in bar between our living and game rooms. I've only watched a handful of your videos and already I have more ideas for what we can do with ours. Thank you again.

A sensory toy I have to keep myself calm at all times is an easy diy that I'm sure your daughter would like as much as I do, even tho I don't have autism
    First get 5 key rings
Next take one of them and loop some beads on it
After link all five together in a circle
You can add some ribbon or a clicker if she likes that, and your done
I love mine and I'm sure she will too!!

This is a fantastic idea. I’m trying to come up with some more out of the box ideas for my kiddos at work, and one of my colleagues today mentioned a giant sensory board when I brought in a small sensory mat I had bought. I think I’m going to try and make something like this. Thanks for the idea!

coming back to this video as a fidget board becomes an intrest. I've recently been watching more tv and spending time out with the family and its not as sensory friendly as my bedroom and i make a mess or stim toys. You guys are still one of the only channels that is targeting autism towards these videos as the rest are normally with toddlers and its not fair. Glad you guys are making videos

It's kind of sickening with the prices of "SENSORY" toys. I'm building a sensory table for my girlfriends day care room. I was diagnosed with autism as a toddler and just designing this thing has been fun. The build is coming soon... I might just play with it before delivering it :) Thanks for the additional ideas (slinky and Velcro).

Love it. I would've put a slinky on the beaded headband thing but like you said, we can do what we want.
I found your video whilst looking for fidget toy DIYs for my students with ADHD, ASD and other issues. I backed the Fidget Cube project on Kickstarter, but it's going to be a while before I can get my hands on one.
This board reminds me of the often hand-made sensory corners in special ed rooms. I think someone would take the time to do what you're doing but dangle materials through pipes or something to make a bit of a sensory cubby house. Those things are fantastic, I kinda want one for my own future dream house's sunroom.
