I am 56 years old and legally blind and so with the help of visual aids, I can sew like a boss. 😉I can no longer drive, but I can still see well enough to sew. I I make bags, quilts, and many other things . I have a fabric addiction ( thanks to fQS) and try to sew everyday. I have actually taught some of my family members to sew as well. I tune the world out and turn the music on and sew. So I guess that is my super power because people seem to be amazed (knowing how bad my vision is) when I show them my projects I make. 🤗❤️
That is impressive! I have had some vision loss that cannot be corrected and I have Glaucoma so I always worry about losing my ability to sew. You are an inspiration! 🤩

I just turned 72 and feel great, I work in a quilt shop 3 days a week and still have enough energy to work on my many projects and take care of my boyfriend, he just had triple bypass surgery. My super power is not worrying about my sewing skills compared to others. I see sewists compare themselves to others in a negative way and notice that practice impacts their joy. My sewing journey is unique to me.
I completely agree! To be frank, I don’t care how other people sew. I enjoy it so much that I don’t think of other people when I’m sewing. I just think about how much fun I’m having making whatever project I’m working on.

My superpower is that I learned all the needlecrafts and quilting from my granny as a child and have been able to remember them. After retiring from nursing I picked them back up. I always quilted since age 4. I am amazed that I can still knit crochet tat and embroider after all these years.

My superpower is being able to come up with a pattern in my head and turning it into a beautiful quilt. When I started quilting in 1980 I didn’t even know there were patterns. I just started using graph paper and imagination and I’ve made many beautiful unique quilts using v that process.
My superpower is to never stop learning, always trying to learn something new at least once a year. This year I bought a small quilting frame and I am learning how to longarm, quilt my own quilts.

Ok you asked us to tell you what our super power is… I will say it is being crafty! I have always had crafty hobbies. I used to scrapbook and make stuff with stamps, still have all that stuff, and then my sister taught me to knit and I love to knit and make socks and sweaters, then my Mom taught me to sew and make quilts! That is my new obsession! So yes being crafty is my super power! ❤

My superpower is being a nurturer. I am a nurse and I love caring for others as well as being a great mother. I care for the Geriatric population and I love giving them my time when caring for them. I love knowing that there are individuals in the world who are living well and long, to reach a 100 plus years old because of health professionals like me, who provides loving care for them. Wow! That gives me great hope! I am a new quilter and I would love to make charity quilts, made with love, to give to the Geriatric population in nursing home facilities. A lot of these residents do not have family that would come to visit them and this vex my heart. I believe a warm quilt would warm their hearts and souls as well as mine. I plan to keep practicing!

My superpower...I see quilting projects. In most fabric shops or online quilt shops, I can hear fabric calling out to me to take it home. It can tell that I will provide it a loving home and give it many friends to become part of a beautiful project one day. I think I have an invisible aura that attracts the fabric; maybe it's plaid, floral, Bee Dots, or whatever my heart is pining for that day.

A lot of these residents do not have family that would come to visit them and this vex my heart. I believe a warm quilt would warm their hearts and souls as well as mine. I plan to keep practicing!

My super power is knowing where was left for my family. Or, finding it right away when my husband can't find something. It is so weird. Loved today's video. The heart quilt would wonderful with minky on the back.
My superpower...I see quilting projects. In most fabric shops or online quilt shops, I can hear fabric calling out to me to take it home. It can tell that I will provide it a loving home and give it many friends to become part of a beautiful project one day. I think I have an invisible aura that attracts the fabric; maybe it's plaid, floral, Bee Dots, or whatever my heart is pining for that day.
My super power is I never get bored learning new blocks and techniques. 😊😊
