I will never forget when I got my very first piggie and didn't know much about them at the time. Little dude was overjoyed with having his own space and food that he did one of those popcorns where they go full spaz and fall onto their side. I thought my little dude has a mini seizure, but was supremely relieved to find out that he was just happy and couldn't contain it. They truly are amazing pets and the concept of them being "starter pets" is complete bs when I was still learning things with my last ones and had owned them exclusively for about 15 years. And your two here show a lot of the quirks about piggies that are hard to understand unless you own them and did your homework. Which I find that keeping their cage off the floor helps them not be as skittish when you come into the room and still have my 2x4 C&C cage without the grids set up in honor of my piggies over the years and look forward to when I'm able to rescue a bonded pair.
What interesting experiences and observations you have! Regarding placing the cage off the floor - thanks for the advice! The doctor also advised us not to make shelters for them, so that the boys would not hide, but would get used to the open space. But I’m not yet sure that this is right, because sometimes even a person wants privacy
@@FlashandMcQueenguineapigs ALL piggies love hidies and can make them out of cardboard if you have nothing else. They are prey animals after all, so being able to have a safe spot to sleep is crucial and why yours could be skittish when they don't have that. Which trust me when I'm only looking out for the best life for your piggies, where that doctor didn't do basic research into piggies to unlearn a horrible piece of advice. I've had the same igloo since my first piggie and only have gotten a few more. Would be happy to post a link if you need one for reference. :)
Thanks for this video. My daughter brought home a Guinea pig that was about to be surrendered and then moved out leaving behind the pig. I of course fell in love with him. He died on July 25 of this past year. I miss him terribly but can’t get anymore because I am allergic to the hay. They are such special pets.
I’m also allergic to hay, but switching to Orchard Grass Hay has helped alleviate it (I still give them all kinds of Timothy Hay stuff to eat,though- treats, blocks of hay etc.)❤
@@donnadrane4977 The Orchard Hay doesn’t bother me like Timothy Hay does. And I make sure to inspect the brand I buy,to get the least amount of dust in the hay. The Timothy Hay cubes don’t bother me at all and I buy them little heart shaped treats with Timothy Hay ,apples, and bananas. I also have an air purifier in the room, so that probably helps also. I tried all types of hay to find the best balance of what they would eat the most, and what bothered my allergies least. They do enjoy all types of hay(they’re piggies after all ❤️), so it’s nice to give them a variety every once in awhile. Mine will start to popcorn sometimes when given a different hay(with herbs or flowers in them❤️) and sorry you lost your piggy friend!❤️
I saw your videos and subscribed almost immediately. I really love to watch, what a good life they have with good food, a lot of space, and with a daddy who takes notice of their habits and different personalities. I always have peaceful girlgroups because I'm afraid of the courage of boygroups. If they begin to hate each other and fight all the time to show dominance, it would break my heart. So, I choose the easier way. Anyway, thank you for your videos!
Thanks for watching! 🥰 The veterinarian told us that girls can have much tougher fights than boys during the period of heat. It is interesting to know the opinion of experienced owners of girls
@@FlashandMcQueenguineapigs Of course, they are quarreling like your fabulous cute boys, but I heard, boys who really don't like each other would bite the other until there's blood. 😥
For example, fleece blankets are left over from my daughters’ childhood years. Small rugs are bath mats, they are available in almost any store. Beds and houses in small pet stores.
They poop constantly ! They poop while they eat, goes in the front and straight out the back! I have six Guineas, I’m forever getting up poop! So if you want a sweet, cute, adorable ,funny little pet that doesn’t make a mess, don’t get a Guinea. But they are well worth it! 🤗😜🤪😱😳🤗
They are sweet. Used to have piggies until I was 24. After that, cats. I know all their funny sides. Just never put uncastrated males + a female together, the really fight that hard then, they are bleeding. And, yes, sometimes they eat their own poop, they need it for digestion.
There’s always gonna be dominance displays-that’s just how guinea pig hierarchies work. (My chin is higher than yours 😂) As long as there’s no fur flying and no blood- they’re good ❤
These two have springs on their legs. Flashs has a cute mullet. Business in the front, party in the back.

What a pity that everything turned out this way. These are truly unusual and cute pets.

Thanks for watching
McQueen I love you ❤❤❤
Than you friends ❤
@@FlashandMcQueenguineapigs Yeaaaah😄🥰I Love her popcorning soo sweet ❤️❤️
Horses do that too when they have eaten a lot of clover. ☘️🍀☘️
When you keep males together, there is always "domination" discussions, the dominant one even jumping onto the weaker, "mating"
The owners of the females wrote in the comments, saying that the girls have the same thing.

thanks a lot 🙃

Where do you buy your guinea pig beds and hides from?

The best bath mats at IKEA
I don't have pigs yet, but I was shocked by how much they pooped 😳
yes, me too
yeah it's a no for me dawg

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ahhhh...🕊️
Flash and McQueen don't seem very compatible. Possibly they both need some alone time or another mate. Poor McQueen is constantly being picked on.
Mostly they behave peacefully, there are exceptions due to food and houses. But that's rare

-what Great Appetite?
I, too, used to be surprised at their gluttony. But since they constantly poop, they have to eat constantly
They can fight 😮
very seldom

🥰🥰❤❤❤👍👍👍
If one pig beats up and bullies the other then they should be separated so no one gets hurt…😢
until it came to a fight. But the guys are always under control
Nice!
