I'm shocked by some of my Guinea Pigs' habits

Flash and McQueen have already settled into my home and have begun to show their personalities. Some features of their behavior shocked me.

@1:25 Rats eat their own poop too and so do Rabbits… Doesn’t make them any less adorable and for whatever reason they never have sh*tty breath!!!

4:27 try not to put them on their backs, as their spines are are very fragile. It can cause problems when they’re older too, such as not being able to walk properly. 🙂

When they eat their own poop it usually means they aren't getting enough food, or food that is filling them.. That is a BAD thing and a sign you're doing something wrong to these little pigs.

You are right, when other pets, such as dogs, eat their own poop, it is a sign of a vitamin and mineral deficiency. But it is normal for guinea pigs to eat their own feces because they process food in two stages.
