Point of contraflexure and point of inflection..Both are different isn’t it ?? Point of contraflexure is the point where bending moment changes it sign ..And point of inflection is where the elastic curve of a body changes its curvature .So the point where deck edge immersion take place can be called point of inflection or point of contraflexure?????
This is only 2nd mate level - the requirement is to obtain information from a GZ Curve. Radian and Simpson Rule (working out the exact area under the curve) is done at Chief Mate level
