I'm so undecided about the mechanicum. On one hand their cybernetics and crude religiosity are abominations to mankind. On the other hand their zeal to science makes them admirable little chaps. I'm sure E just kept them around as a theme park and never imagined they would become the only people capable of fixing a toaster or making a bullet in the imperium.
The current Mechanicus is such a far cry from what it used to be. There is no more zeal to science, inventing is practically outlawed. And for an organisation whose goal is to preserve knowledge, they're really bad at it

Well, he’s been a Raisinette sitting on an electrified potty for 10,000 years so the people that have been maintaining his technology probably just picked the best and brightest without really caring about the genitalia. Please let gw know how we feel about them selling our sacred hobby into the parderverse to the highest bidder and worst of all with no regard to weather or not the movement/ funding/ company even cares about your IP so you make a financial decision that short term makes a little and long term ruins everything therefore is not physcally sound...can you tell them there making bad business decisions for us please.
