One honorable mention would be the Lamenter's Dreadnaught Chyron currently with the Deathwatch who will never know if his Chapter still exists or perished, doomed to a lonely existence away from his brothers, past, present or future.
He is glorious. Serving beyond service of while feeling a loss beyond reason. Rest assured that the Deathwatch will gain knowledge or more likely service of a brother Lamenter and will salve the mind and spirit of noble Chyron.
I remember watching another video about dreadnoughts. They made his story quite humorous. His Deathwatch brothers would keep informing and correcting him that his chapter still exist, but he would interrupt everytime and say "my brothers are dead".
Come, traitor. Come to Cassor. Come and fight, come and die. Come and meet thy doom, dogs of abomination. Come and feel the angel’s wrath, curs of Angron. I dont care what anybody says, Malcador is a shady, shifty character but he's leaps above the credibility of Custodian's. We need a novel that some ancient Thunder Warriors take out 90% of them.
As adult it annoys me how bad some models and weapon systems are designed, they could be really cool and futuristic withoul losing that 40k style and still be functional in reality. Not missile hand with 8 shit rpg missiles that could fit in 1/10 of the space used
I started building my own titans a decade or so ago , now I have 3d printer buddies that make lots of great things , either full parts , an entire model or anything in between I would want to better a GW design or product.
If they cared about functionality they would be tanks. Walking on two legs is very ineffective for war. The only upside is that you can see marginally further than other things on four legs. If it wasn't for thumbs arms are a ridiculous thing to use for war instead of just more legs.
@@oddursigurdsson9637yeah, I like the 40k silliness to an extent but the whole "it would clearly run out of ammo in like 5 shots autocannon" style or "bolters with the magazine 2in behind the barrel and a foot in front of the trigger" stuff. I know what is inside guns and while I'm all for the "rule of cool" I don't think stupid looking weapons is cool.
For such an iconic 40k creation, GW didn't half get a bit silly with them for a while. Librarian dreads, Ironclads and as for the Space Wolves dread swinging a big axe and shield? Good grief.
I know we've seen Astartes age, examples such as Dante and Yakton Kruze come to mind. But I don't ever remember an Astartes dying of old age, just showing external evidence of aging.
You should do some more videos about the women who became Custodes. I'm looking forward to the stories you can tell with the long and storied lore available.

moreover.. (lol) one F-35 of TODAYS technology could utterly destroy these retarded weapons.. refit and literally kill with impunity from 20 km's away simply everything on the field😂 cmon man.. all this creative lore but no planes? if war being the main idea seems kinda dumb if you ask me.. cuz lumbering swords(?) against advanced fighter jet targetting systems NOT 40,000 years in the future lol seems ridiculous.
They can be equipped with anti-air modules and all but remember we talk about 40k here, they have superior armor (adamantine) and superior power/servos which means mobility + reliability, not only that but there are forcefields (void shields) augments which makes them invulnerable from 99% of weapons. Not only that but the biggest part that defines a war machine is its use these are not used in open fields aka tanks, etc but with Astartes squads in urban/difficult terrain environments to serve as a mobile weapon platform and fire support.
You are speaking of air superiority in an era of space superiority. There are plenty of air assets in 40k, plenty of ground to air defenses beyond your comprehension as well but none of it matters if an entire fleet orbits the planet the ground forces are fighting upon. An f-35 can carry what? six missiles and 8 bombs about. It can fly for around 8 hours before it needs to refuel. So what’s your plan when every airfield and carrier for 10,000 miles has been obliterated from orbit, every member of all the infantry in the Imperium can one shot the jet with a single lucky shot, cruisers can take out air assets once again from orbit, titans and knights have air defenses on board and the titans void shields are capable of tanking a direct nuclear explosion. And I don’t think it’s even necessary to bring up the air assets of the Adeptus astartes and Imperial guard such as the stormhawk interceptors which accel in air to air combat and fire weapons THAT TRAVEL AT THE SPEED OF F*CKING LIGHT and are common equipment. It’s not even necessary to carry on even though I could for another week. Let’s just summarize with you’re an idiot.
@g.ro.9145 stormbolters are .75. These take out SMs. They had .75 muzzle loaders. A 12 guage shotgun is .72. SMs can be killed by normal people with swords.. He's right. Today's aircraft would annihilate a dreadnought miles before the aircraft would be seen.
@@Aegis030 And a 12 "guage" shotgun shoots pellets that wouldn't get a micrometer past the paint. Your comparison of bore size to generalize overall stopping power is ass. Those "swords" you think SMs can be felled by aren't typical blades either, which further shows copy and paste with no understanding. There's something called a power field on those blades.

6:26 10 km/h? So they move at the speed of an un-augmented human jogging? Do they get left behind by regular Astartes?
