I am thrilled that I was able to get done 140 French Legere in 12 days. I will have a video on them shortly too!
Also this is a test to improve my video & sound quality. I watched this guy's tutorial. Lets hope it works....

I’d suggest the capture of both villages being a single objective. It’s very easy to lose one, which makes the fight for the other even more dramatic. Having to throw an extra die for an initiative roll is a major disadvantage!

I like that idea! That's what I'm going to do. Thank you for the idea 💡

@@basement1908 - For my first GDA2 battle, I put up three villages in all - a small one called Klein S[German expletive deleted] and a big one of two sub-villages called Gross S[German expletive]. Originally thought I’d have three initiative points for each village, but Dave Brown suggests having only one objective in all. So, I settled for the one objective of two sub-villages.
      Worked out fine.

Make sure you stand up and stretch every so often. Don't want you getting a blood clot from sitting down to watch that whole thing 👍

140 in 12 days? That's impressive...I can't even paint up a 16 Austrians in 10mm scale in 12 days...lol. I need to get my Austrians and French done so I can give GdA 1 a try before even looking at GdA2, which I've read posts and watch videos on it, many actually like while some still prefer v1. Which is totally fine as well. It's like ESR (Et Sans Resultat!), I got into it with v2 and just after 2020, v3 came out, which is more streamlined per se, making it quicker to play out large battles such as Borodino, which is fine as well, but I like v2 better...more crunchier :D
Looking forward to see the AAR.

GDA1 and GDA2 are both great. They both have a steep learning curve, but it gets much easier when you have a practice battle or two under your belt. If you’ve not played either before, I’d suggest leaving out cavalry for the first game(s) as it adds a significant complication to the gameplay. Also go light on the terrain. 🤓

From what I can tell, GDA2 is less chart intensive and focuses a lot more on command and control.
I will definitely have a better opinion after I have a few games of GDA2 under my belt.
      Have a great day Gents!
