Thank you very much for your video. I was able to follow it :) Something I discovered while changing it: my broken mirror had one extra cable to un/fold it by a button press. The new one doesn't have it, and I see your window motor also doesn't have it's socket. I assumed all electric mirrors would be the same but apparently there are differences, TIL.
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes, v awkward, there seems to be a wiring too leading from the manual level down inside the door, i dont know what that could be for considering its manual

@@screwsnutsandbolts I know how to set the mirror, I have the same car, the point is that you do not have any buttons on the panel, hence my question 😅👍🏻

I can’t get why did you remove motor? I didn’t see a reason for it))
It's very difficult unplugging the mirror wiring connector from that unit when it's in place on the door
if the mirror is manually worked you probably dont have to remove all the inner door do you? thanks in advance
Yes if it's a manually operated mirror you might be able to get at the three retaining screws without needing to take the inner door panel off
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes i just looked, the two bottom screws are unreachable unfortunately to unscrew without taking out the door, thanks anyway
@@sir243_simr Oh really ?, that's a pretty poor design !

@@sir243_simr The mirror might be heated
Why do you need to remove the window motor?
I didn't, I just thought I'd show how to remove it while I had the door panel removed.
I made the mistake of not inserting the cap before assembling the mirror... is there a way to insert it without re-disassembling the whole flap?
Which cap ?

I was not thinking you had to take the whole damn door apart just to change the wing mirror 😞
Yeah it's a lot of work just to get to the mirror wiring plug !
But how do you set the mirror 😅 on the panel there's no buttons for the mirror 😏
On the panel there should be a left and right slider switch to select each mirror and a four arrow directional button to adjust the mirror.

@@michal250987 Oh I see !. This is the passenger side of the car. The control panel is on the driver side :)
Very helpful, thanks, I have a left drive 307, also need to change speakers. 5*..
