My mother drives this car and had the same problem! I followed your video exactly. And it actually worked straight away! I thank you so much! Who knows how long it would have taken a mechanic to find this problem. Saved nerves and money, thanks to you!👍👍
Why have I only just found your youtube channel? I have been hornless for 4 years with this car - I have a month off work and loads of stuff to do to the car now, thanks to you! Magic.
Thank you so much for the Amazing tutorial! The mechanic I went to said the problem was probably a broken spiral or something like that and it would cost like 800€ for the spare part and the work needed. Watched your video and followed the instructions and now my horn works again! And it it was completely free! Such a simple fix and it took almost no time at all.
Epic! Had a dry few hours this afternoon and followed this advice, and what do you know... I have a horn again!! The white airbag wires were little tighter than in your video, so I basically used masking tape to tape the airbag to the upper wheel to give me hands free access to the wire and connection. Worked a treat. Horn now working after 4 years! Not once has it been tested on an MOT... so I consider myself lucky! Thank you, you're an absolute star! 2003 307 SW 110 HDI.

Thank you, great video, very well presented. I have a 2009 Berlingo with this problem, I have to hit the horn area hard a few times to get the horn to start working. It will work after that for a day or so then stop working again. I've been wanting to take off the steering cover to take a look at what is going on but I have been apprehensive about the air bag. I will give this a go using your instructions, hopefully it will go straight forward. Further note, I had a garage try to fix this a few years back, and they replaced the squib stating it was faulty, but the problem remained. A couple hundred quid down the drain using the garage.
Worked a treat for me this thank you! That said, the copper connector needed sanding but the wire for me was snapped off it! Thankfully, soldering the wire to the connector worked 👌
Brilliant video, I’ve just bought a 307sw and the horn wasn’t working (had a fresh MOT!!!), n/s wheel arch liner was loose so someone had obviously checked the horn and fuse box then given up. Took me 10 minutes after watching your video to fix it, would never have known this was the problem.👍
A careless mechanic cut the white wire for the airbag, the horn stopped working and another claimed it's because of that. Thanks to this video, now I know which is actually connected to the horn and airbag
This video saved my days and my ass everytime I needed to blow the horn. A tip for whoever struggles with reaching to the (-) pole of the battery: I fixed this problem with a friend of mine who is an electrician, he suggested to remove the (+) pole (because it was easier to reach) and it worked real good. Only thing to notice is the reset of date and time on the screen, all the other infos are saved. Thanks a lot for the community service, really saving our pockets' weights!
(-) pole is also more complicated for my car, because it doesn't have a clamp like (+) does. I'm not sure if it is the same which one you remove, especialy because the video says it's the earth wire connector? I mean, it should be the same, but I don't know.
Thanks for the video. Had the same issue with a 206. Checked the fuse ,took out the horn and put 12v on it direct and it was working . I saw your video and it was a similar issue . I cleaned up a spade connector under the airbag and squeezed it a bit with a pliers . Job done . For anyone doing it on a 206 there's one clip to be pushed directly under the steering wheel.
The garage servicing my 2003 Pug Partner couldn't fix the horn for it's MOT. Nervously followed your video. (Cleaned up the contact instead of screwing it in). Horn works. Cheers! 👍
This fix worked for me. The bit was getting the centre/horn button bit off. I found putting it back in reverse order helped, ie side clips first then bottom clip last
No annoying background music was nice, but, the silence made it seem like the airbag was gonna go off any moment and it was just building up the suspense the entire video monkaS

A few times I almost had problems with the drivers around me, I'm so afraid it happens while I'm driving behind or next to a police car. Do you think that I could use the same technique on my horn. Thanks in advance
You're welcome. I don't think it's the same issue. It sounds like there could be a short circuit in the wiring somewhere or a faulty relay. If it stays on constantly, you may need to remove the horn fuse temporarily until you fix the issue. You can find the fuses on this link: fuse-box.info/peugeot/peugeot-307-2002-2008-fuses

Just for your info some Peugeots have 2 torx srcews behind the steering wheel accessible through the small holes, no clamp in there!!! Looks to me that all with the horn function in the handle have those trorx screws holding the airbag in the steering-wheel . In fact those wheels look similar to this one, but the top of the airbag/steering-wheel is different. the airbag module (cover) bends over the steering-weel top in this model but those whit the screws have a foam like rubber that is part of the steering-wheel and a more flat airbag module, also minor wiring differences. My model has only 1 connector (orange) going from the spring clock behind the steering wheel towards the airbag module and no wires for the horn of course. You can damage this connector/wiring while poking in these holes trying to find the clamp!

hello, first of all, thanks for the video, my car is citroen xsara, the horn works in the off position, but it does not work in the open position, I would appreciate it if you could help me.
You're welcome. I haven't come across that problem to be honest. I'm not sure why that could be happening, sorry
