- How to remove and replace the airbag and steering wheel on a 2001 to 2008 Peugeot 307. WARNING: Attempt this fix at your own risk. Working on or near the airbag unit can be very dangerous so use extreme caution !. Disconnect the battery at least 30 minutes before you start, to disable the airbag system, and leave it disconnected until the work is fully completed. After you disconnect the airbag connectors, do NOT probe the airbag terminals or connectors with a test meter as this could risk triggering the airbag. If you are in any doubt, take the car to a Peugeot specialist or garage and have a fully qualified mechanic carry out the procedure. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

Poz imate li video kako se mjenja na letvi volana mandzeta i semering curi ulje na letvi od peugeot 307 hdi 2.0 2003 hvala
I don't have it, sorry
Merci
You're welcome !
what if the steering shaft spline came apart? I pulled the subframe with the rack and the shaft pulled apart at the spline. I suppose just line it up and recalibrate
Yeah that sounds about right
From looking at both models, 307 , 308 looks like you can maybe exhange the wheel, if you buy 308 airbag also ... Would be interested to know if its actually possible or not, because I'm bulding my 307 GTI and would be nice if I could fit the sporty looking 308 steering wheel, another little modern touch in the old lion. Let me know if you think it would be possible
I'm not sure to be honest. I haven't removed a 308 steering wheel so I don't know if it's compatible. Would be nice alright :)
@@screwsnutsandbolts I'm really starting to look into this, because I approach my car as a "project" car, I already did KW lowering suspension, now working on exhaust, upgraded old classic radio to modern display car infotainment, would be crazy if I could fit the wheel. I will let you know if I try to do it... as far as connection goes it looks literallly the same, the question is if the center hole fits and how is car gonna comunicate with new airbag, thats what it comes down to
@@rexxo2844 I looked up images of the comms units for the 307 and 308. The 308 unit seems to only have 2 wires going to the airbag but the 307 has 3 wires
@@screwsnutsandbolts oh yeah.. I didn't realize that until now, thats unfortunate, but thank you for letting me know. Then only option is to get the steering wheel custom made, there's french website that is dealing with remodeling and making custom steering wheels, I looked up, there is one for 307 for 299€ , might consider buying that, or asking local companies how much it would cost to remodel and resew my existing wheel
@@rexxo2844 Sounds steep !
Hello, my vehicle is Peugeot 307. At the service, the airbag cables were removed without removing the negative cable on the battery. Now the Airbag error light is on. If I disconnect the negative cable from the battery and disconnect and reconnect the airbag cables, will the problem be resolved? I'm waiting for your help. Thanks.
I don't think that would help, unless they weren't plugged in properly the first time. Maybe either one of the ribbon cables were damaged when they were removed and replaced ?
Thank you so much 🙏
You're welcome@@ercanisler2145
Thanks for this. What is the name and size of the bit I need to order to remove the actual wheel? Thanks.
It's a Torx T50 bit
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks. Did it all yesterday in around 25 mins. Thanks again.
@@GavM You're very welcome, thanks for watching
Can i do the tightening without a torq thing?
You can, but you won't be able to tighten it to the recommended torque
@@screwsnutsandbolts is that bad or i mean does it make the wheel tigheter to drive so to say
No it won't make the steering wheel any tighter to turn@@flamingo3643
Can i connect battery and lock the car without airbag in place ?
You mean with the airbag fully removed ?. I presume you can. Just don't forget to disconnect the battery again before reinstalling the airbag and don't start the car without the airbag installed or it will bring up an airbag warning light.
