I worked for a company where interviewers lied to the candidate's questions. They just wanted to hire the next developer. The whole culture in the company was built on lies. The seniors who lied got a lot of money, the rest earned below the market, and salaries did not grow for years.
I bet that company had a high attrition.

Toxic culture and complete dependence on tech lead. If you disagree with him on any issue, then you will soon be fired. A lot of guys from good guys turned into victims in one day and left the company under pressure.
