This is the most underrated channel I've ever seen bro. No click baits, reality checks, straightforward content. I'm gonna share this on Twitter. Also please make a video on such complex projects ideas and solutions to work on as a developer.
Wish I could like this twice. I’ve been at the process of becoming a developer for a little over a year, and though Ive made leaps and bounds in my technical knowledge and coding abilities I have really struggled with demonstrating my value to recruiters. Thank you so much Alex!
I have made a cross-platform file encryption desktop software in Go, published it under MIT licence and shared on LinkedIn. Recruiters and engineers keeo telling me how much better it is than some people who just build a twitter clone
That is pretty impressive. Yes a lot of people just make clones but then don’t go the extra mile by adding in documentation, thought process and monitoring. The more imaginative you can be the better.
After I finished my training where the company used C#, I fell inloved with it. It's simple design, OOPness which makes more sense to me than writing javascript don't know why haha and It's the same age as me, It's a no brainer haha. You are one of the best RUclips creators that worked with C# that I followed because you wanted to teach others to become great developers. I've been following I think over a month now. And I will continue to support this channel. Thank you.
@@alexhyettdev maybe I should stick to being an electronics engineer. Thanks for the great content, I also enjoyed your data structures video. Are you thinking of doing an algorithms follow up video too?
@@alexhyettdev electronics can be challenging but getting an entry level job seems easier than in software development. Maybe it's because there's a lower supply of potential applicants in electronics. Software just seem like it's over crowded and as a result it's really difficult get that first job. Awesome, I'm looking forward to the algorithms video, you have a great way of explaining things
that was the most valuable 6minutes i saw about portfolio. You put out all the tips and tricks. As a intern backend this gems make my day very much tankyou
Thank you Erik. Yes this is my first channel. It has taken a bit of time to get the quality to this level. I just focus on making each video slightly better.
Thank you. I am using a Blue Yeti X microphone. I have it on an arm so I can have it as close as possible but just out of shot. I added some thick curtains and cushions as well which helped a lot to get rid of echos.
I am looking for someone to build up my project - that’s a mobile application. The design is almost ready. Could you suggest someone, preferably knowing Russian language. Thank you!

Thank you, I appreciate it. Yes there is far too much click bait content out there!

@@alexhyettdev Thanks for replying. You're one of the best SE channels on RUclips in my opinion, keep up the good work!
@@dejangegic Thank you Dejan 🙏, that’s very kind!

C# is awesome. Thank you for following me and leaving a nice comment 🙏
This is a masterclass on EVERYTHING you need to build projects that are convincing enoughto get you hired
Thank you!
Crazy how many hoops you need to jump through just to get a job
And this is before you get to the 10 stage interview process!
@@alexhyettdev maybe I should stick to being an electronics engineer. Thanks for the great content, I also enjoyed your data structures video. Are you thinking of doing an algorithms follow up video too?
Yes I have it on my backlog. I would say electronics is harder but that might just be my experience from when I was at uni.

Thanks man, You are spilling the secrets.
No problem!
Good video Alex, I'm definitely implementing github actions and logging in my next project. Thank you
Thank you for sharing this ❤
No problem 😊 I hope it was helpful!
@@alexhyettdev Yes, extremely 🙏
Highest quality content I've ever seen from someone with less than 10K subscribers. Is this your first channel?
Thank you Erik. Yes this is my first channel. It has taken a bit of time to get the quality to this level. I just focus on making each video slightly better.
Does the world really need software engineers if you need to do so much to be able to hope to get a job?
Amazing content. I have subscribed.
Out of curiosity, what microphone setup are you using?

Netlify is also an amazing platform where you can deploy your project for free.
Good point I should have included that one!
