bought based on your review and went a size down, I love it! There's even enough space under for my down jacket as a mid layer for the extreme cold Swedish weather
Thanks mate. That’s a really thorough review. I’m 5’8”, 44’ chest and normally wear a large up top… Would you say they come up big? Also, how breathable is it? I ve got a Mk 1 ridgeline smock and quite frankly a bin bag would be more breathable! 😅
How tall are you? I'm almost 5.8 ft and 161 pounds and wear normally size M but for this Fjallraven anorak i doubt between an S or XS. There is no shop around to try so i must buy it online, so the size must be good for me.
It’s a good jacket, my wife wears it almost every day. It’s a pity that they removed the inner collar panel from the past version. Same like in the anorak n. 8. It was the best feature in the whole jacket. 😢
I'm 193cm and 92kg with a 111cm chest. I generally wear L jackets but sometimes XL. What do you reckon for me: M or L? I would prefer a similar fit to what you have with it (I don't like my jackets too baggy either - just want enough for some layers underneath). Great vid, thanks!
Just in case anyone is my size and is curious on the size I went with: I ordered a medium & large just to try both and ended up with the med. Plenty big even with multiple layers underneath. The large was way too big for me. Very well made and so stout. I think it will be a great purchase over the long run. No issues with the fur lining coming un-buttoned. If you have a single button hole that is too big - simply sew a stitch line to tighten it, that may help.
I'm 40" chest and 6' want the jacket for bushcraft etc and a bit casual wear, medium is what I'm thinking as long as I cam wear plenty under it, thanks for that mate
@@losttracks7625 ordered both M and L went with the L as it offered a lot more mobility with layers on despite a being slightly too long in the sleeve. Thank you again for the advice 👍
Nice to see another review chris,i am still baffled as to how a fatty like you got into a size small😂as you know i have had one of these jackets for a couple of months now so have had time to see what is good and bad, i agree with you about the fur being a pain to take on and off it is a bit fiddly and time consuming and i think poppers would be a better system but having said that i leave the fur on all the time,i think the jacket would benefit from having a micro fleece lining(like the inside of a buffalo jacket) sewn inside the front pockets to make it a bit more cosy if you are not wearing gloves,i found the top pouch pocket very spacious and useful for putting my binoculars in while walking along as it takes some of the weight of the bins of my neck,i also purchased some greenland wax and spent a couple of hours proofing the jacket and to be honest i found it a laborious task trying to get it in every nook and cranny of the jacket especially the seams, if anyone decides to wax the jacket you would need to apply at least three coats as one was not enough and water still managed to get in(small amount), also it will add weight to the jacket,so i choose to wash it out of my jacket and apply nickwax instead i did this in a bowl and not in the washing machine as i did not want the spin cycle to wash it all out, i love my Singi jacket and still think it was worth the £220 i paid for it, i wear it all the time now especially when canoeing.
@@losttracks7625 the big hood is excellent.. it's a little micro climate under that long hood .. Fjallraven is an excellent investment deffo not cheap.. Fjallraven own Hanwag The 2 go in hand to hand .. The gaiter trousers are excellent if you hike like me .. in 30 seconds they become a pair of shorts & gaiters for brush dew etc .. I bought ibisko trekking tights for my wife & daughter £270 .. for tights ..

I’m really glad you love your jacket I wear my one every time I go out into the woods and definitely is good for canoeing 👍

These run very big. I usually wear a small and the XS is more than big enough for me, even with layers!
Good choice

I do wear mine a lot when I’m out in the woods, do you have problems with the fur like u do ?

I’m sure a large would be more then plenty they are very roomy

What about the inside on the jacket, where it has that snap towards the back. Is it supposed to be for rolling up my jacket?
Didn’t know that cheers for sharing 👍
I'm right on the cusp of pulling the trigger on one of these but I'm conflicted about the size as I'm between L and M
Medium would still be spacious. I’m a medium and I thought it was a little to big for me so that’s why I ended up with a small just right 👍

My mate bought a large and he’s a medium he wanted his for canoeing but he said he likes the extra room
Ace info mate thanks again, looks like a medium it is 🤙

I agree with you on the rewaxing I’m also going to nickwax it when it due up for redoing. Have you had trouble with your fur keep popping off.👍
@@losttracks7625 No i have not had any issues with the fur coming off (yet)
Whats your hight in centimeters? I'm 1,87m would a large one be my size?
I’m 175cm or 5ft 9in I’d get medium but my mate is the same size as me and he likes the extra room in a large
Number 8 anorak is the best .
Singi are ok along with guttalea but the daddy is no8 ..
That’s my next jacket but there’s a big price jump. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one thought 😁

The hood fur buttons are shit and the sleeves are ridiculous, agreed.
Not far wrong with the hood buttons can live with the long sleeves 👍
Nice review. Glad it’s fake fur. It would be nice if you would learn to say Fjällräven. It’s not that hard if you try 😀
Fake fur is shit it freezes up in cold weather when it gets wet. Totally useless. That’s why indigenous people use natural furs
