Colorado Springs Palmer Park rock walk with some awesome Views
Colorado Springs Palmer Park is a loverly local walk for those who may not want the whole adventure of the Rocky Mountains but don't be fooled this walk can be as hard or as easy as you like. I chose to take the advanced trail though in my mind it was not to hard.
As you can see in the video I chose not to talk to the camera and hand hold the camera so to give it the feeling your on the trail with me for some it may not work but you got to try theses things.
This trail has great views we chose to walk out then turn around then walk back. This walk was great for me as I don't normally see rocks like these and I enjoyed seeing the cactus.
I hope you enjoy this episode

Left alone in the Great Rocky Mountains
Просмотров 1132 года назад
In this episode I was dropped off in the mountains only to be picked up 5 hours later, that might be no great feat to most but when your experience is zero in the Rocky Mountains it can be a little intimidating. With the thought of bears and mountain lions just around the corner put an element of self aware in my mind, I never expected to see any, though it is posable. I tried to make every min...

3 Blokes Canoeing on the River Wey (with some swear words thrown in)
Просмотров 1752 года назад
3 Blokes canoeing on the River Wey is a video of three friends meeting up after a long while. In this video is lots of adult humour and the occasional swear word from in for good luck. The day started out raining really hard then midway in to our trip it cleared up to sunny skies as you will see if you make it that far into the video. I hope you enjoy our canoe trip of 3 blokes canoeing on the ...
Did I Just Ruin My Fjallraven Jacket !!!
Просмотров 13 тыс.2 года назад
Did I just ruin my Fjallraven Jacket well I hope not would be my answer to that. I always felt that my Fjallraven jacket no matter what I did was never waterproof enough, living in the UK rain is just part of living here so its nice to have your Fjallraven jacket as close to waterproof as you can get it. In this video I try using Barbour wax to make it more waterproof and by watching the video ...
A life hack every Bushcrafter or Camper should know
Просмотров 2222 года назад
A hack every Bushcrafter or camper should know is a great title for a video as it starts to set of the question what might that be. I like the idea that there is more then one use for an object or may be another use for something that we would not normally know. In this video I explore putting the humble can into good use. Sorry about the slight hiss in the sound as I'm experimenting with a new...

A day canoeing on the Medway with some unexpected Fun
Просмотров 2542 года назад
This video is as the title said is all about a day canoeing on the Medway, this river is a new river to me and only being an hours drive away i just had to try it. The Medway river is canoe friendly which makes a change and it should be a lesson to all the other rivers that do not offer the same easy access in and out of the river. The Medway river also offers some real fun when you come to the...
Helikon Bushcraft Satchel : The bag I never thought I'd buy
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 года назад
The Helikon Bushcraft Satchel is a bag I never nearly bought due to the fact it's called a satchel and the word satchel makes me think of my school days or Angus Young from AC/DC. I must admit I love this bag its so handy for those days or half days out in the woods just the right size to carry all your bushcraft gear if you don"t believe me just watch my review on it.
Canoe trip around the Bungay Loop
Просмотров 4613 года назад
Canoe trip around the Bungay Loop was a great paddle with clear running waters and sweeping bends this has to be one of many nice paddles in the Norfolk Broads. The Bungay Loop is a popular paddle with many people from a local camp site so if you want to miss the water traffic your need to get there early. On this trip we set out at about 7.00am the water was like a mirror but over the coarse o...
Canon R5: A great all round wildlife camera
Просмотров 2953 года назад
The Canon R5 is a new addition to my camera bag, I bought it to replace my ageing Canon 5d III. I have not been disappointed with the ease of the set up of the camera or its results. I do realise that this is not a cheap camera and not every one is going to be able to afford one. This Canon R5 video is not a review video as I feel is been done way better then I could ever do it else where. I co...

Gjora Crud Gloves Are These The Best Bushcraft /Outdoor Gloves
Thanks mate. That’s a really thorough review. I’m 5’8”, 44’ chest and normally wear a large up top… Would you say they come up big? Also, how breathable is it? I ve got a Mk 1 ridgeline smock and quite frankly a bin bag would be more breathable! 😅
I like your Woðen pendant
Thank you there easy to make if you got some good carving skills
I’ve tried it against willow cordage line cordage and many different grasses even though my opinion is subjective you would be advised to try it for your self
I'm curious how you determined it's the strongest? Which others have you compared it to?
The bag is very heavy 3,2 kg.
nice video and thinking of doing the same. Can you do an update?
The 1L Eagle also stows inside the MSR 1.1L Stowaway Pot! Then you have space inside the kettle to stow other items like a gas canister.
Super review guys thank you
What about Swazi materials breathability in active activites?
I want to get this in the vest version, thanks for the review!
Quality
Good bag. I've had one a few years and use it for hiking, camping and travel. One thing I've learned about this bag and backpacking in general, if you overload it, it will not be comfortable to carry. Fill it, yes. But leave the kitchen sink at home. 👍
Great tip!
Barbour oil is absolutely not suitable for G1000 and you will never get it out! Nikwax Cotton is still the best way, much better than Fjallraven wax, to make G1000 water-repellent. G1000 will never become waterproof
Bad boot. Lasted 14 months with normal use. €165 down the drain.
Mine are still going strong 💪
Poor design in my opinion not comfortable closes in on you bad
Thank u for ur in put nice to here what other users think 👍
I've got the Fjallraven anorak n°8, and of corse I tried he Fjallraven wax and for me it is complete BS. The best wax for impregnating the material in my opinion is the Barbour wax ! 👍🏼
Great review. Can’t decide between this and the Keb fleece. Both look excellent
In Somerset, they always used willow withies,as it was always wet on the levels . Used for basket weaving and many other things. There is a place named Withypool, where I was led to believe they would soak them
Interesting stuff mate 👍
Meh, they don't come in XXL...
Email them they might make u a pair
Great review from two experts!
Nice
0:24 what is this animal
I believe it’s a muntjac deer not many it my area
I bought couple of fleece jackets from Amazon to lounge at home for like 35$ and they are complete piece of rag 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm amazed by the quality of this buck fleece, got mine in navy color. The way it feels it's like made out of wool , very high attention to detail and quality 🙏🙏🙏
Awesome video. Quick question. How do you find the fit? I’m 5 ft 6 in and Fjallraven recommends a small. However, I usually wear mediums. Do you find that to be accurate?
Yes they are an accurate fit I’m about 5 8 and a medium
Just got to say that you are swinging your axe wrong - your axe was pointing towards your leg when swinging, so if you miss,. there is a good chance that you will hit your leg. You are supposed to stand out the way of the swing; if you want to swing in between your legs, the swing needs to go straight down the middle and not angled. Please go watch videos on axe safety, to prevent any accidents in the future.
Thanks for ur pointers in all of 30 yrs of using an axe I’ve never hit my legs but thanks anyway 👍
Hi great video mate I’ve got the force 5 you said you put ,sd card in to phone how do you put that size of card in to phone I’ve got both phones a Apple and a android ? Thanks
Apply sells a sd card reader that plugs into your phone then u go into photos and download them
Have you ever owned or checked out a Patagonia Better Sweater? The woven exterior of the Buck makes it look quit comparable.
I’ll check it ok cheers
Wouldnt a backpack be more comfortable
A rucksack is more comfortable I guess this is for when I don’t want to carry a rucksack
Be careful buying these if you don't live close enough to ship them back cheaply. They don't cover shipping for repairs or defects. The gloves are nice, but the pair I ordered came with a defect and now I have a nice pair of buyers remorse to wear on my hands haha.
Thanks for the advice 👍
They fit perfectly down the silo of the Swiss Ranger Volcano stove, AKA <Borde Flaschenkucher> . Snuffing it out may be tricky. I bought one at a surplus store last year for six bucks US. They had removed the matchbook for shipping regulation reasons. Some of those allegedly ignited while in a cargo hold or truck, and they were banned from including them henceforth.
Nice video, but just hope you don't walk often in the bluebells. It make damage to the flowers that take years to recover. That's what a guy from the forestry division told me. Take care.
He’s right
Satchel makes me think of Steele Panther.
😂😂
@@losttracks7625 going on an adventure in the woods with Satchel would be something else entirely. What a character. So long as it’s not Naked and Afraid…
That Barbour wax is dangerous if spilt near a naked flame, ask me how I know 🫣😗 had to smother with damp tea towel.
How spooky . My husband and I have the exact Silverbirch canoe ...orange with ash gunnels and cane seats and our dog is called Nipper !!
Awsome vid my friend
The Kajka (kai-ka) is made with Vinylan, not G-1000. 600D Polyester The Cadillac of backpacks, but heavy.
The Trangia alcohol burner fits it and puts it at the 'right' height for cooking.................
Thanks that’s good to know 👍
Great review
Thank you glad you liked it
Great review. I was looking at one of these, think you have made my mind up, cheers.
Do you still wax it with Barbour? How does it perform? I got one yesterday and I can't pick between Greenland and Barbour. I am scared the Barbour will make me sweat inside.
I think wool ist better.
Probably is
Probably is
Looking for ideas on how to build my hide, this was great inspiration!!
Have people ever smelt turpentine? Because whenever I cut into fat wood, it smells just like pine.!!!
Just found your channel. Good review. Many reviewers don't mention the soot. I always burn my jell out and then refill with denatured alcohol. Have refueled these stoves like over 20 times each. Purchased mine about 6 years ago when they were going for about $4. usd. Now Ebay, ect has them listed at $12. usd. No evaporation after this time....however, I have found that many of the cans filled at the factory do not contain the same about of gel. Some were only half full of gel. Quality control for purchase weight is very shabby.
I'm 193cm and 92kg with a 111cm chest. I generally wear L jackets but sometimes XL. What do you reckon for me: M or L? I would prefer a similar fit to what you have with it (I don't like my jackets too baggy either - just want enough for some layers underneath). Great vid, thanks!
I’m sure a large would be more then plenty they are very roomy
@@losttracks7625 cool, cheers for the input!
Just in case anyone is my size and is curious on the size I went with: I ordered a medium & large just to try both and ended up with the med. Plenty big even with multiple layers underneath. The large was way too big for me. Very well made and so stout. I think it will be a great purchase over the long run. No issues with the fur lining coming un-buttoned. If you have a single button hole that is too big - simply sew a stitch line to tighten it, that may help.
Thanks for sharing 😊. Take care
No worries glad u enjoyed it
Took me over an hour to get my Woody Max boots off ❗❗❗😳
Is that Because u love them so much 🤣
@@losttracks7625 Sadly NO❗But I do like them. Just cant get the damn things off after walking❗❗
Fly drones by any chance? Great vid thanks.
Yes mate fpv mostly
These videos have Inspired me to plant my own trail cams in the uk wilderness. It's currently the first week (pheasant, some sort of finch and squirrels so far) and I will be uploading the content to my channel after the next 4 weeks.
I’m glad your inspired by my videos good luck with your trail cam 👍
I have a Maginon, originally bought from Aldi, the video quality is very good and clips are 30secs (Browning 20secs). A couple of years ago it cost £70. The only problem is Aldi only sell them occasionally as a special buy, not a regular stock item.
That’s a shame it’s good when u can find things like that at a great price
