I do not get that part - I thought that the woman already had adopted the little dog - named PANI - and it was a great match ! Do you know Kitten Lady? She's a kitten rescuer with a big RUclips channel, and I'm reading her book at the moment about fostering kittens. She says there that it's really a pitty when people foster fail. She has saved hundreds of cats, and had she had foster failed instead they would all be dead now. She said we need to foster win, but that nowadays many people are pressured by their friends to fail. I suppose something like "That animal is soo cute, and you've spent so much time together. How can you give it up now? That's so cold". Kitten Lady concluded that loving an animal means wanting the best for it, i.e. not keeping it when it's not a good idea, but giving it to others who will care about it a lot. This way you as a foster can give your love to a new life that would otherwise be lost, so it can have a great future too.
This means that I hope that despite Pani getting adopted, her mum will continue fostering, otherwise it would not be a perfect ending in my opinion.
Yeah, it's great for Pani that she has a good owner now, but if her mum quits fostering because of adopting her that would be a sad thing in a country like the US where a million dogs and cats are killed every year because they can't find a home. No hate, just another perspective!

Kitten Lady, while having done amazing things since she was a teen, has no right to judge other people and their motivation. What works for her doesn't have to work for everyone. She doesn't say what to do when there are no applications for months and years, for instance. I bet it doesn't happen often to a famous RUclipsr rescuing kittens (young animals find home the fastest). I bet there are people who want bragging rights because they have adopted a "Kitten Lady's" kitten. Perhaps some foster parents realize that keeping the dog IS the best idea because there is a strong bond and the dog loves them. Maybe sometimes it's cruel to uproot a traumatised animal that thinks it has found its home already. One also wonders about a special needs' dog. You need someone who is basically willing to be a low key nurse for an animal for the rest of its life and pay the medical bills. How many such people are there, really? Everybody has free will, is all I' m saying. Whether to adopt or adopt out, whether to continue fostering or not.

My family has always fostered animals, and it's really good to be able to find homes for them so you can take in more fosters who need you. The more homes you find, the more animals you can help.
But I am a regular foster failure. Right now I have two of my 'temporary fosters' who've become permanently adopted fur-kids watching me type this comment. No regrets.

I said the same thing when it got to the part in the video explaining… And I said oh honey, you know because we don’t know what she went through we only have an idea but it had been horrible. I had a dog that had been through such trauma for two years she slept like the Sphinx statue, making sure that on her feet were still touching the ground as she slept. It took her so she was about eight years old till she started grooming herself. I got her when she was about just under a year old. I loved her and took the best care of her than I could until the end of her days. Do you know what made her not want to sleep laying down for those first two years , But I’m not gonna go into details because I know there are a lot of dog lovers on here and it might hurt someone to hear about it. But just know she was loved and she really loved her brothers 💛🐾😇

100 percent of rescued dogs go through a rescue night sleep. Once they know they are safe and don't have to stay awake for protection, they absolutely crash. Sometimes for days. This poor girl because she was paralyzed had even more fear. Hurts my heart deeply. What a wonderful story. As a rescuer I'm not terribly find of foster fails because it can limit how much the foster can then do. But gotta be happy about this one. That little dog is a doll❤️

This is what I love about this channel, not just that they have these videos, but a lot more so, it gives me hope for humanity, that there are good people who do this, and do this everyday too. I love that these animals are getting forever homes. I just wish it could happen with every single person, I rescued my cat, she was neglected so much to the point that I've had her for 3 years and she still doesn't cuddle the way cats do, yea they want attention on their own time but when they want it, they really want it, not her, she was 9 pounds under weight, it took a while to get her to understand what water is and that shes supposed to be drinking it.. but if everyone decided to rescue an animal, it doesn't matter what kind, we could get these poor things off the streets, and everyone would be happier.. at least the people who would love them and take care of them because yes, I do know not everyone should have an animal

Faith restored! Amazing human to animals! - I donate to lot of animal charity orgs and get lot of news letters and request for donations from around the world - what humans do to animals is so cruel it takes my breath away and makes me weep but knowing there are people like her and communities like The Dodo is reassuring (although that reassurance is fleeting b/c the amount of cruelty is insurmountable - humans can't even be nice to each other, let alone extending compassion to the voiceless, defenseless animals). We have to be vigilant in our capacity to help animals and keep nurturing and extending compassion for beings that are different than us

You, my dear, are an exceptional human being. Animals with this much need rarely find sanctuary, let alone love. I know. I loved and cared for an incontinent kitten for six years before her disabilities wore her little body out. An evil person put her in a microwave when she was a baby to entertain his drunk friends. I still miss my Rosie. But I find comfort in knowing that she was deeply loved and knew happiness in her short life. Thank you for loving Pani. You’ll never regret it.

"The galgos are greyhounds used for hunting, but most are used for only one season and then discarded. I just melted. They are so adorable together! 💕
I'm not a "small dog person" - not because I dislike them! Not at all. I'm just very short sighted but I don't like wearing my glasses indoors (no idea why, I just don't). I can't see the edges of dogs up to about her height, and I'm physically disabled, so I'm always terrified of tripping over a visiting small dog (that includes puppies) and worse, hurting them by landing on them!
I've also only ever had big dogs (the same breed, anything from 26"-33" to the shoulder. My current boy can put his head on my hip without stretching!), so I guess I don't understand the tiddlers as well as I know the giants. Having said that, I can absolutely appreciate the bravery of this little fighter - not just for having survived on the street but to have made herself vulnerable. _I_ don't do vulnerable: by definition, she is braver than me by a mile! At least!
The two of them make a beautiful couple ;) Not just in looks, they're both also beautiful in the inside. I wish them a long, healthy and happy life together. The pup particularly deserves a few extra years to make up for those she wasn't allowed to have.

S I wonderful that so many pups are able to walk again. Thank you for all those that foster. I could not say goodbye. This pup had such a hard life and of course anxiety, distrust, etc. from her experience. Once you got her to trust you, don't think she would have gone easily to anyone else!
I know myself! My mom volunteered at the Humane Society. We eneded up with a house full of cats! She had to stop!

When I saw Pani in his wheels, I cried. When I first adopted my 8 year rescue dog Teddy, he hid under chairs and sat in corners. When he had a routine and lots of love, he blossomed. It is so inspiring to see the blossoming of Pani. All the best to Pani and his Mom, xx

To not feel safe enough to sleep, to stopping herself from going to sleep altogether...I dread to think of what that little cutie has witnessed, has happened to her. It makes my heart ache, but I’m so, so happy that Tedi was able to adopt her! And her wheelchair, too - it seems like her chewing on and ripping things was a way to show frustration at not being ambulatory. When she got her wheels she looked like the happiest dog in the world!

First of all, her little noodle legs - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! My heart broke for the first few seconds of this video. Then all of a sudden it just exploded with happiness for both Pani and her momma!! It makes me so sad when the person fostering the animals/dogs has to say goodbye to them at the end bc the animal knows that person as the one who saved them. The animal builds a bond with that person through the fostering experience & learns to trust them & let their guard down & love them as their foster mommy or daddy, so when they are taken away I can't imagine how the poor animal feels. Getting ripped away from the only person who made them feel safe & loved for the first time in their lives. That's why I am SO freaking happy this nice lady decided to keep Pani 💗 thank you so so much! 😄😳
