Wow wish I was in LA to go on by and trade cuttings. Jake seems like a genuinely good guy and what an amazing collection. Thank-you Jimmy for taking the time to do this series. I have enjoyed every one.
Bravo! 👍👍👍 I'm looking forward to future plant legend series! I was so excited when Jake showed his H. linearis...I just bought one just like his 💜. It is fine with me that he's not interested in hoyas....we all have plant types that intrigue us. I'm waiting for that next plant type to make my heart go 👀💜. When that happens > #buymoresheving #breakthebank Until then > #stilllovingmyhoyas 🌿✌🌿
I’m going to try to find a hoya person to do a series on. They don’t speak to me currently but that’s probably related to my gross ignorance about them. Hopefully I’ll find a passionate grower to enlighten me and the non-hoya viewers :)
@@LegendsOfMonstera I actually enjoy your presentations about the rare and unusual collections. Keep doing your own unique thing...be EXTRAORDINARY, not ordinary 🌿✌🌿
This was EPIC, I’m in LA so I was ecstatic to hear that he’s open to home plant tours! Thanks for doing this series, I just discovered your channel recently so I’m binging and I can’t wait to see what you put out next 🌿
Oh he's not into hoyas... now I feel I wanna challenge him on insta and post some hoya photos see what he thinks haha :) some hoyas have stunning leaves he just hasn't seen them all yet ahaha
What a wonderful series, thank you for sharing this with us!! I just wish he'd have shared his secret to staying so calm in the face of spider mites and maybe how he deals with them. I must say though, if he can have that set up with that collection and still gets those beast from the depths of hell, I don't feel quite as bad that a couple of my plants have them. 👍😂
I really enjoyed this series. Jake and his collection are awesome. I keep trying to get a Burle Marx Fantasy. Every time Steve's Leaves post it, I am just a little too late. :-( Thanks for the tour, great information!
I don't even bother to try to do those Steve rushes anymore. I'm never fast enough lol. This is also why I don't do plant splurges lol; never fast enough.
You've been saying this series has been winding down for a while now, so I didn't think much about it when you said it again. But, it's actually the last video ☹️
Haha you didn’t heed the warnings! I’m sure we will do another series with Jake in the future, and it’ll be fun to see how his tastes and collection evolves. In the meantime, there’s exciting stuff in the pipeline so stay tuned :)
I thought he was "Keep your plant, Son" too!🤣 & I'm betting you didnt have to "make" him talk about his plants😉 People IRL change the subject real quick whenever I try to segway into plants 😅😖

Yes, Jake is just as kind if not even more kind and generous in real life.
I’m so sad this series is ending 😭
It is nice to see collections of different people 😊 Thank you for sharing such amazing content! 🙏🏻
Thanks! And please thank Jake for letting us see his collection!
Haha he reads the comments here from time to time so I know he's very appreciative of everyone's kind words regarding his knowledge and collection

Jake needs a store to display and sell his beautiful plants...great show thanks for sharing
Could that Monstera Sierrana cutting be anymore perfect? It’ll pot up beautifully. It’s symmetrical, full, with those perfect leaves...just gorgeous.
Omg that monstera sierrana and Serpens tho. I need those in my life😭
Hey Jimmy - Awesome var. sierrana!! Do you happen to have anything about a monstera burle marx flame in one of your videos?
Ohmygod I love his Serpens!😍 I had one... it died from root rot. I was gutted!
O that monstera is gorgeous!! Wow - beautiful
LOVE the serpens!!!

All your moss poles! Where do you source them
I think he buys them from various places. He tries a lot of products and producers with his planting.
If only I was close enough to visit. Thanks for sharing Jake! Speaking of pendant leaves, no Peperomia elongata?
Don't think he has one but we'll be seeing that plant in a series in Feb or March.

Haha, no, it's never too hard to get Jake to talk about plants haha
Sad to see all these rare plants become common plants now
FYI There is a person on EBay with 12 Oblique for 130.$
Yeah I think some people/stores seem to use obliqua interchangeably with adansonii. I assume most do it innocently.
Yea it is definitely not the same. 😀
Only 38 episodes? Slacker
Haha the vlogs are counted separately 😝
