Ok for those who it still doesn’t work, you need to basically go to the security tab again and click the button that says “Add”. Then you click on create new principal and you chose basically the name of your device that you previously used and then you check the permissions box and click ok and then apply

When I click on "continue" from the Advanced Security Settings I get a Windows Security error:
"Can't open access control editor. Unable to perform a security operation on an object that has no associated security."

Thank you . Worked for me . I had installed Forza horizon 4 on my other drive and later on I reinstalled the windows on my new ssd, but the windowsapp folder still showed on the drive on which I had installed the game , So now I deleted it successfully . Cheers !

thanks, i needed to delete certain folders in the folder. because for whatever reason it was showing games i deleted were still installed and taking up TONZ of space on my computer

I had to re-install windows, but the Xbox app can't detect already installed apps, and I don't want to format mu games drive because it has 600gb of games on it from Steam, Epic, and Origins

Okay so for me when it said i needed permission from myself i just had to go into the same ownership panel and delete trusted installer, i hope this helps

How can i delete the "Program Files" folder? I can't delete it and when i do the things that you showed to do to delete "Windowsapp" it just says i dont have permission to delete it because example: loserly doesnt have permission to do it even tho i have changed everything about who owns the folder.
@@TLTechLife Its okay, it was where the windowsapp appreared but i managed to change the permissions for my account so i could remove it because otherwise it said i needed to get acces from my "SYSTEM"

@@eth1937 u cant get rid of it bro if u have set the download location of application on the other drive or whatever drive it will by default create a filder to store the application in it which u cannot access it annoying to get access follow the videi hope it helps

I can not download forza horizon 4 even though i deleted the windows app folder.I tried to change the place (to download it on m HDD) where the new apps download but it says that i can not and that everything in the HDD must be deleted.Could someone of you help me?
Go to settings change download locatiin of app to ur other drive by default the windowsapp folder and set of other folders will be created it is used to store data that in that file u cant acess it untill u do the above mentioned steps in the video

Did not help at all I was making a texture pack I was following on RUclips and then it got me a bunch of .class folders and I can’t delete it!!!!! Beaus it doesn’t let me right click or left click I need a new computer now

Pretty sure deleting that folder will break the Windows Store and Xbox app in Windows 11, so don't do this.
only on the c drive. on other drives it will automatically make this folder and remake it again if you download something.
