Mourinho was actually good at Manchester United! Was our most successful period after Fergie! He could/should of won the Prem. But the squad was lacking and it just wasn't ment to be. Still thankful for his time at United!
I always said Mourinho should have arrived at Manchester United after Ferguson retired. I knew it was going to end poorly at Manchester United due to player power and the Glazers not giving a shit about Manchester United. Mourinho won silverware and finished 2nd with one of the worst squad ever made and had the board and fans properly backed him then no question we would be challenging for the Premier League title by now. Too bad, we sided with the cancerous players and lived in fantasy of Ole being the man to win the Premier League title. My respect for Mourinho has gone up since then and he's the only manager post Ferguson I never called for the sack despite knowing the inevitable.
Completely agree that he should've replaced Ferguson. I don't think it would've prevented United's decline long term, but it would've slowed it down. The squad was better suited to him in 2013 & the league was weak, he'd of finished top 4 at least for a few years (until Pep took over City). Going from 1st to 7th created a panic chain reaction you never recovered from. His drawing power was also the best way to capitalize on your appeal to players in the market that was only ever going to diminish after Ferguson, and Woodward hadn't been burnt yet (would've given Mourinho a lot more freedom to shape the squad). You'd have got the likes of Kroos, Fabregas, Di Maria would've been better, Matic when he could still move, Sneijder probably, etc... the squad his successor inherited by around 2016 would've been MUCH better, had at least a few players in it that any manager would like to build around.
Mourinho's siege mentality approach works very well for self motivation. Operating from the assumption that the world is against you takes you to another level performance wise.
Mourinho is like no other manager. More than tactics, he understands people. Pogba turned out to be exactly what Mourinho said he was. Look at him now. Mourinho is an easy target for the media because of the way he speaks, but he speaks only facts. Its just like he said: "if i speak, i am in big trouble".
He would loved perisic, perisic plays all roles from left winger to left back. A fighter that is quite tall, very fast, good with header and shoots with right and left foot
ten hag will get sacked within 2 years and every single manager after that. they will always be in shambles as long as the board doesnt keep things in check. the issue isnt the manager nor the players its the board/glazers. look what they have done to every player around them. looj what they did to ronaldo. it hurts but sadly united wont recover until glazers are out. can ten hag do a master class? its more possible that wrexham can win the ucl and luxemborg to win the wc than ten hag doing that.
What Manchester United has become in just a decade is nothing short of embarrassing. I am a United fan and without the Qataris in charge, we simply will not dominate again..
Since Rooney left zlatan has been the only real leader we have had on the pinch, zlatan brought us a different type of energy and all the players looked up to him. Bruno is a great player but he is not the type of player you need leading a team on the pitch

I would love to hear ur opinion on that, maybe a video where u would philosophy about how Mourinho could change our squad/the mentality/if he even could win a teophy with Portugal etc. I hope one day u would do a video like that
Mourinho is a genius and was spot on with everything he said, certain players had chips on their shoulders and could not take constructive criticism, that still goes on a Old Trafford today and its some of the same players.

Never a manchester united fan However really respect mourinho because he respects the game and also trophies whether it is the most prestigious (champions league) or the so called not so prestigious (europa conference league) And you already know some will still try and paint him as a toxic manager
No one really talks about this but one of the best examples of how much LVG, Moyes and the Glazers ruined the squad is their mistreatment of Chicharito. There's an interview out there of Mourinho talking about how they have no striker with any type of end product and literally calling for Chicharito who wasn't at the club anymore.
Cristiano and Jose were right all along and both are thriving whilst United who are one of the biggest clubs in England arent playing or acting like it they play like Luton a Luton side whom the struggled to get a win against and lost all but one of their Champions League games and are run like Everton, need i say anymore i rest my case things will only get worse over the years.
they messed up big time with this one. its funny how nowadays people say "no player is bigger than the club" with the whole issue with Ten Hag and Sancho (even with Ronaldo last year) but when it was Mourinho no one was backing him up. If they gave him time and he wasnt too much of a fiery person maybe United would be contesting city for the titles now.
Great recap with some great points..only critique is giggs didn't resign, he wanted the job but was only on a four game contract, united signed Dalot under mourinho also
Mourinho mentality, its like Ronaldo's . Always to Win,never give up. Mourinho is the most Successfull Coach for the last 23 years. The Champions league with Inter was a Masterpiece. The Best.
I can only laugh every time a Man Utd fan complains about Mourinho's "boring" football. Look what he did with such a shit squad and what happened after he left and you start playing "exciting" football.
Whatever you tell to the MU Fans (Most of them) They will say Mourinho was the problem. They will say even if the board let him to buy everyone he would loose. Like come on.. He have an eye of gem... Whoever he brought before didn't have a big name or fame ( Most of the time) He literally made players and now we know them as a great players. Now look at those defenders! Who are they! TF? His key thing is defending. When he used players in Porto or Inter. He didn't use defenders they were like solders and we know them now as some of the greatest defenders of all time now when we look at the trophy and league position. Literally they got the best after SAF... Though they said Mourinho was the problem. Let me tell you who have the problem. Those joker board, some joker media and some joker fans. You don't respect the best and the best will not give you anything. (Though he managed to achieve great success with this team is insane).... Those MU fans who thought Mourinho was the problem is JOKER.. BRUH.
As someone who's dropped the sport all together because i hated the players in my own team and political nonsense of 2020. I always knew the problem started with the board and then the players and have debates as a Manchester United fan with other United fans, honestly it was like talking to a brick wall. When they sack Solskjaer there was nothing left that i had any connection to in a team i have supported since childhood. Managers were never the problem at this club and as Roy Keane has said many times, players have too much power and are in need a massive slap.
I take umbrage that from the opening part which says 'United fans are only interested in short-term glory'... Real United fans remember our wilderness years between Busby and Ferguson, when we won occasional cups but were nowhere in the league... we are back in the wilderness again but there is at least now a path back. Never took to Mourinho, he was already firmly established in his 3rd season calamity pattern before he came to us. It was his job to instill the 'belief' if that is what was needed. That's why I don't like when managers talk about their clubs as 'projects' because it implies that there is another period of time to go before winning is expected. This creates a cushion and reduces urgency.
Mourinho should own his own football team. I'm sure he's the kind of manager who's able to make some random discount local b-team rise through the leagues if he doesn't have to deal with a board.
Any honest comments about the dip in his managerial prowess at Tottenham and especially Roma? Coz I feel like Roma and Italy would be the perfect ground for a resurgence in his mojo. Firstly because his type of game plan could suit Italy and as mentioned, even at times when working with what can be afforded at the time especially at Porto and to a less extent Internazionale, he did miracles. Yet however he quite hasn't managed to have that spark at Roma and with the above average Tottenham.
i hear you but to be fair mourinho did produce at those two clubs , he took spurs to a cup final and they sacked him before it (dumbass move) and won the conference league and was in a europa league final w roma
@@GLA888 There was a resurgence at Spurs especially in his first months but I feel the progress ground to a halt. The cup could've atleast saved some glory for him. At Roma, yes he won the Conference league but domestically one would've expected him to do better especially last season. But double place finishes outside the UCL spots was lackluster. Also Roma clawed to victory during their recently failed Europa League campaign with uninspiring football. Similarly this new Serie A season has begun very poorly for Roma.
@@joshadrale4415 roma are in poor financial conditions and have barely made signings. the squad has been uninspiring since the de rossi and totti days. the start this season isn't that bad if you watched the games. candreva scored two worldies for salernitana out of nowhere, and milan have started extremely strong this year. the verona game is more negative, but stats-wise roma were better
@@SlimeJime That's the thing I'm mentioning. The squad isn't like what he had at Madrid or Chelsea but his fans make a huge deal of how he started from the bottom by working miracles with what was at his disposal notably at Porto. So did he lose that tact of him making average players wanna play their hearts out for him? In addition, compared to the teams he faced in the UCL (prime Barcelona and very good Bayern), they were better than his Inter side but he managed to beat them.
I really love your videos but there are a couple of things wrong within the first two minutes of the video. First, Man Utd's 7th place season was not the worst season ever in the club. It was Utd's worst point tally since the beginning of the Premier League in 92. And Mourinho had already been sacked before Chelsea... at Benfica.

Mourinho is many things. He is stubborn and egoistic and definitely is no soft spoken. But he's got a genius football brain. He's got that farsightedness and his assumptions rarely goes wrong

Mourinho is the best coach football has ever seen, think about it, this guy does not need a billion euros or great players to make his team win the biggest competition there is, the champions league, this guy makes regular teams champions and that is what makes him the greatest, he is better than Zidane, Ancelotti or Guardiola.
Well if the money is right anyone will manage them if approached. And if a team is given xyz amounts of money that could help them win things. Mourinho was great but if he was given the task of having very little money to spend then he is gonna struggle like other managers. Hence the reason why us fans moan when are clubs have not spent enough money.
Just see what he did with Porto… the thing is that once you are in a super big club, the small clubs ask way more money for a player. Even if they are not worth the price. An i honestly think that if he has the squad that follows his orders and ideas, he will always win something.

A top manager like him should have never tolerated the board locking horns with or openly ignoring him, paying a fortune for Pogba, Bailly and Lindelof (assuming it's true he didn't want them).
Managers do not have that much power anymore. Klopp wanted Draxler. To me the issue is something else : When Karius and Klavan flopped Klopp was allowed to get rid. The same with Nolito, Danilo and Claudio Bravo at Man City. Man United refuses to move on flops. Look at how Phil Jones stayed until the end of his contract
Two different mindsets when looking at football, the difference is that Guardiola keeps evolving but Mourinho stagnated. Mourinho had a formula, Guardiola has flexibility. But to study one of them, the other must also be studied, and I think that's great!

1 player purposely not tracking back, like an elite game changer, can be accomodated but not 2/3/4!
Rashford in his early years was an excellent player in terms of his work rate both in offense and defensively.
He saw in time that it was a waste of energy seeing others doing very little and still starting matches.
So he thought fxck it am doing the same! Selfish yes but being realistic given so many were getting away with it. Player power costing several managers their jobs.
Rashford's agent did his job getting the player huge wages by threatening that his client would leave.
Erik ten Hag is struggling and may end up getting the sack but the next manager in won't change it unless all the squad players are fully committed in working their butt off every time they put on the shirt. They must accept meritocracy and rotation. With their multi million dollar contracts most won't care unfortunately.
United not listening to him when he said Pogba and Martial were toxic and needed to be shipped out has been pure karma.

From mourinho to Ronaldo, man united really don't deserve anything good

It truly was a shame the board and the glazers refused to back him in any way shape or form....

15:37 this is the moment where united proved to the world why they are joker club.they are still joker club till now.
Man Utd as a club has the worst mentality in the whole PL
