How to install a Ecobee or Nest in your RV or Travel Trailer

In this video we go step by step on how to install an Ecobee or a Nest Thermostat in your Travel Trailer or RV. Be sure to take out the fuses and turn off breakers before working.
Be sure to be very careful so you don't wire anything wrong, everything you do is at your own risk.

How rude of the other 300 viewers to not "Like" this video, being it is really the ONLY video showing the use of the Relays to allow the use of a "Smart" Thermostat !!!
I put an Ecobee Smart Enhanced with 2 remote sensors in our 2018 Heartland Pioneer that we have been in since 2018 - LOVE it !!! It works flawlessly, and effortlessly integrated into our "Smart/Automated" house, and saves about $20 or more a month on the bill while keeping the internal environment PERFECT while we live in Topical South Florida.
Personally, this was easy for me, and I had contacted the ONLY other person to do this and have it work - he was installing an Ecobee in a Coach, still 12vDC, same as me with only propane gas Furnace. So for 99.9% of RV's and Coach's, our "C" wire is actually the Red 12vDC Positive, that which needs to be switched via the relays to activate the A/C, Fan H, Fan L, or Heat... I think that is why most people can not get it to work, because they are trying to switch the Blue as the "C" wire which is Negative.. I'm personally glad I did NOT have to put my Relays in the ceiling cavity as I had a cabinet 3ft. below my Tstat and an empty cavity behind the Tstat that runs down to the cabinet. {behind my flat screen too} I chose 4 regular DPDT Relays with DIN bases, got 6 of them for US$9.99 w/Free-Shipping from eBay. I actually think my setup was easier and cheaper than yours, but I THANK YOU for making this video and putting up here !!!

hey great video. I bought all the parts suggested but having trouble figuring out what to do with the 12v neg wire.
I dont have the live wires at the thermostat as it looks like you do.

How many wires were on there? I looked at mine and it seems like 7 in a bundle not including positive and negative plus two additional blue wires
