If you’d like to donate to the channel or just show your appreciation, all the details are below. All donations and tips that come from you, go into my daughters college fund and a fund for channel equipment. I created this channel for her so she has videos of her father talking and doing something he enjoys(listening to music and talking about it) since I don’t have any of those of my father. I decided that all funds that might come from this will go to her as well :) thank you again for your generosity guys, I appreciate you all more then you will ever know.
Your name will be added to the Thank you supporters’ video that plays at the end of every video and you get to pick a video for me to react to. Thank you so much!! If you donate and pick a song, I will get to it in under 24 hours!

The Sundays made perfect songs. Period. Harriet Wheeler has the voice of an angel. Love their whole discography.
I am definitely going to dive deeper into their stuff. I was really touched by this song and her voice.
Same! I’ve been a fan since I was about 15 years old - 25 years ago ❤
Can't put into words how much I love her voice. Love at first listen.
It really is beautiful isn't it? I fell in love too. It's absolutely ethereal ✨️
@@L33Reacts Try 'Monochrome' if you like the ethereal quality of her voice
will never forget when i first heard her, was on radio 6 on a random afternoon.- there was great music played but her voice made me turn off everything. i've been in a sundays binge for coming up to 5 years
"Blood On My Hands" is my personal favorite of theirs. They also do a pretty decent cover of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses".
Cool thank you I will add it to my list. I will be coming back to them soon for sure.
No: They do THE BEST cover of “Wild Horses”!
…And The Cowboy Junkies do an amazing cover of Lou Reed’s “Sweet Jane”!!
I'm mainly a prog fan, but The Sundays have always spoken directly to my soul. Their three albums, especially their second album Blind, are a place of comfort, melancholy, and memory that I will never stop coming back to. My favorite song of theirs is Goodbye. It's a gorgeous wall of sound. I would love to see more of The Sundays on the channel.
The Sundays are a guilty pleasure for myself as well, no problem. Best of all is that Harriet (and Dave's) charachter seems as unpretentious and unspoiled as the lyrics and music conveys.
Well said💯‼️👊 Thank you. I have a Sundays poster in my man cave. The nostalgia is ridiculous with this one!❤️👍
I thought I was the only person in the world to have The Sundays, Yes, and Zappa on my playlist! Great community here.
You are so right Mike! I love this community so much. Birds of a feather and such...
Yes to that! I’ll be on that roundabout
You described it perfectly, “reminds me of the house I grew up in”
This whole album is fabulous ❤I've had it for years and never get tired of it
Sweetness, sincerity, melancholy, and the slightest edge of sarcasm. Perfection ❤
My favorite line:
“It’s perfectly fine to sleep in a chair from Monday to Saturday.”
Not Sundays. 😁
Not one of the "bigger' or best known Sundays songs, but it's actually my favorite of theirs. Melancholy delight.
THANK YOU! Melancholy delight-beautiful way to describe it.👊💯
@@anthonypersons7212 Thanks! Glad my description resonated with you.
Beautiful voice! Nice rainy day music! ❤❤
It really is a perfect rainy weather day track! It's so melancholic and pretty... makes you think about your life
This is one of the best reactions I've ever seen. The Sundays is criminally underrated, my favorite band.
They literally have a heartbreaking song called Leave This City which is emotional
Great reaction! You let the Sundays in, and found out what kind of magic they're capable of. Welcome!
Oh I love the Sundays. Pretty underrated band. You need to check "Can't be sure" its their best song !
Awesome I will definitely check it out. I will be circling back around to them soon for sure 😎
Can’t say how much I love that song!
Brilliant. Loved them back in my 20s. Thanks to the recommender ❤❤ Lovely review and yes it’s so evocative ❤😊
Thanks matt! Yeah thanks to Mike I have discovered this wonderful voice... she is very engaging and intriguing. Her voice truly touched me. 🥲
I've never heard someone put into words The Sundays' sound the same way I hear it. It swept into you the same way too. I know there are lots of us, but it's nice to have proof.
Produced by the late Ray Shulman of Gentle Giant.
This is one of my desert island discs.
Really? Fudge me. What a crossover of some of my passions!
This album still breaks my heart. I was taking special art classes on the weekend when I was 16 when his album came out, and the teacher would play this tape front to back each class. Reminds me of being in that spot where you're tired of being a kid or a teen but at the same time don't want to grow up.
Ha ha that's awesome. I've enjoyed your reactions (mainly Genesis) a lot, but this, this is the band I would save if I could only save one (it's only fair, they've saved me enough times). @1:55 is exactly how I reacted, it took me two seconds to fall in love with Harriet's voice, and I've been in love with it ever since.
Recommendations? Well, you can't really go wrong anywhere, but I'll go with "My Finest Hour" and "Medicine" where she lets her voice have fun, and "Life Goes On" as a deep cut, insanely good song that they threw away as a b-side.
I love “Can’t Be Sure”. Feels appropriate for our time.
My Finest Hour is incredible, my favorite
As a serious Rush fan, I love The Sundays. The hardest song I can think of from them is "A Certain Someone", still an ethereal experience of Harriet Wheeler's voice, but more chaotic than their other material.
GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT !!!!!!!!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Was that just a coincidence yesterday? I suddenly missed Harriet Wheeler so I thought of looking for reaction videos of The Sundays so this is one of the ones I went to. When I opened my facebook, I saw on my wall that someone wished Harriet Wheeler a happy birthday (June 26, 2024 Philippine Time). Yesterday was Harriet's birthday (June 26, 1963).
I feel like I've found my tribe.
Completely love how you just dove into the vibe... no need for excess commentary during the song, just could tell you were feeling it. Thank you!
I love the guitar strums during the second verse. David Gauvrin is a fantastic guitarist.
They are a great band. Not one bad song, in fact all are good if not great songs.
Sadly only three albums, but don't skip on their b-sides and unreleased material.
Gone
Through the Dark
Nothing Sweet
Don't Tell Your Mother
Something More
Noise
Turkish
Life Goes On
He's a drummer, so, Sundays songs which give the drummer something to do - Joy, Can't Be Sure, Certain Someone, Another Flavour...I feel obligated to mention the song What Do You Think, which accidentally borrows a riff from Zappa. In their live shows they had a semi-improvised song called Turkish which gave Harriet more room to show her range.
Not the typical mayhem and madness that shows up on your channel but that's what's great about music. I believe you need the versatility of listening to music. Some days you just need music to relax and reflect on things in your life. I enjoyed the listen. Thanks, Mike B for your pick bro
You are absolutely right Bruce ✅️ this type of music is so needed sometimes. Just sit back and let your memories fly by...
You nailed it! Last Sundays review I saw just said “vibe” but you felt it and described it. You zoned out when I did. We felt it. I heard this record when I was 11-12 a year or so after it came out. Brings me back but you hearing it for your first time and taking you right back. Feels so good.
Even though there are no quality live recordings from their time you can hear that her voice is just as beautiful as in the studio - angelic and effortless.
Another good song from them is: This Is Were The Story Ends"
Here's where the story ends
I loved this song in particular around 1991 especially the last change ' so we rolled out west to the seaside...'
This album is a Materpiece. They only made three albums and a few eps without a single bad song. Only band I can say that about.
This band did a cover of Wild Horses. Absolutely amazing
Harriet Wheeler is the lead singer and yeah she's great. I wouldn't like her half as much if she just had that soft girly voice in her quiver. But you hear here and there when she hits a note she wants to accent some real strength and depth to her voice, especially in some of their other tunes. Reminds me of Bjork a little where she's singing softly and suddenly - bam! - she hits a note that lets you know she's a singer to be reckoned with. I'm a big Yes and Radiohead fan, but I LOVE listening to The Sundays when I'm in that mellow reminiscent mood. Try "Goodbye" from their second album 'Blind' next. Thanks for listening and sharing!
Peace from SF
We ARE music.
Love Is Beautful.
Never get tired of hearing Harriet Wheeler, all three albums are gold, there are a few B/sides & singles that are just fantastic as well. The song Another Flavour off Static & Silence is slightly more of a rockin song or as much as they mustered up but cant go wrong with anything they have put out.
You are in love. What drums? lol
Try Edie Brickell and “Circle of Friends”. Similar sound and your heart will break (in a nice way). ❤❤❤❤❤❤ She later married Paul Simon
Also Kate Bush “Warm and Soothing” but that has a weep factor of 11.
Edie has an awesome voice. Natalie Merchant is a little more masculine but she emotes so well!
My dude this band is incredible. Check out Goodbye.
I love cant be sure and i kicked a boy
I'll check those out! I've been looking for another Sundays track to Do. Thank you!
@@L33ReactsGoodbye is great as well. A bit more rocky than most of their stuff.
I like this band..
Recommend you Therapy? song Knives
