I gave my son a smartphone repair kit, a shattered Galaxy Grand Prime, and a replacement screen assembly for his 14th birthday and before the end of the day it was repaired thanks to your video
I've done this 3x on this phone. There is no need to remove any screws. The digitizer and LCD are held on with adhesive. You just have to remove the small grey rectangular access panel on the upper left side (behind the back cover) to undo the cable connector for the LCD. The digitizer is connected to the LCD.
This is the second Galaxy Grand Prime screen replacement video I've seen that uses NO adhesive except whatever remains from the original. And no heat gun to loosen and reattach even that. It's great that the repair can be done without using LOCA (liquid optically clear adhesive) to attach the LCD to the digitizer/screen, as is necessary with no other phones. But if the display is not attached to the midframe, and the midframe is not attached to the main frame, things are going to start falling apart. The home button will come loose and eventually fall out, the display may start coming out of its frame, etc. SOME adhesive is necessary. Either B7000 glue or 3M tape/glue or at least heat to loosen and re-attach the original adhesive. Especially under the home button (to keep it from falling out) and at the corners of the midframe (to keep the display firmly in place).
Some of the steps were done outside the range of camera and there was no audio (sound) to explain your steps. Other than that, a basically informative video. Only problem is, with out explanation and a few shots out of range, it keeps me guessing! Thanks 4 the video!
R Steffen yeah there have been I know of one video he talks you through it while doing it. Lol it does however take a lot of focus. I always let a guy that works with my dad replace my screens he has done 3 of them over the years all was perfectly done I'm taking a fourth to him Monday to get fixed he does it for free for my dad.. my dad just has to buy the screen.

Yes it is...because that screw is connected to the 2nd part he will remive if he dont remove that the screws will broke and you have to vuy a new one again

thank you- my repair was successful. only screw up was a partial fingerprint between digitizer and screen. Next time I'll be more careful

probably just faint streaks on the lcd, try not to touch the surface of it or you'll see whatever smudge forever
