Those later Faust back issues ARE hard to find... however I found a wonderful gentleman by the handle “vigilfan” on eBay who sold me the final 4 issues (all double signed by Vigil and Quinn) for some ridiculous low prices. I started emailing him and buying lots of back issues from him, and we struck up an online friendship. Turns out he’s been close friends with Los Bros Vigil since forever and shared many stories about cons and hanging with O’Barr. Eventually I asked him why he was selling off his collection (which was the largest collection of Vigil artifacts in existence) and he told me the terribly sad truth: he was dying from terminal cancer and needed to sell his comics to pay hospital bills. I did my best to buy as many as I could to help him out, but he charged me such small amounts and always threw in free comics with each package. I sent him a package in return, of all my bands CD’s, hoping they’d brighten his life during this dark time. But sadly, I never got a reply email and the package was returned to me by the post office. He had passed away. This amazing mans name was Glen Hammons, and he was a true outlaw pioneer, sharing stories with me about the creation of the term “outlaw comics”, and he had his own Outlaw Comics distro company in the late 80s/early 90’s. He was the guy who interviewed Tim in that issue of Indy Magazine about Outlaw comics you showed in your Outlaw video. Glen sent me an amazing Vigil artifact that I’d love to share with you, Jim and Ed. I’ve been thinking about it for the last few years but wanted to allow time to pass after his unfortunate death. Let me know if you’re interested in more of this tale.

McFarlane needs to acquire Tim Vigil. He's an underrated artist.

Funny how when Marvel and DC did the, "Amalgam," line, the Batman/Wolverine combo (Dark Claw) was a painter. I wonder if Larry Hama was a Faust fan.

Tim Vigil was a HUGE influence on me. I devoured the guy's work and studied his line art on a granular level. I wanted to be Tim Vigil SO badly. Then, I realized that's impossible. When I read 'Grips' as a kid, I was blown away. Fun retrospective, Guys!

That was Tim Vigil's signature. It's hit full name sig, Timothy B. Vigil which was how he used to sign. Another interesting fact, Tim Tyler and Kyle Hotz were ghost inkers throughout the Faust series since they were artists working with at Northstar at the time.

From what I understand the severed head on the first printing is supposed to be Frank Miller. I once told Tim how much I liked the way he drew his flowing blood 🩸. He said he got the image from him and his brother sitting in a sauna and they would throw pots of water against the wall.

You guys have become one of my favorite channels on RUclips. When I was young, I didnt realize just how many people were involved in making comics! So It's really fun to get some behind the scenes action of how comics are created, and the people behind it. Listening/watching your vids is like being in part of a club that I always wanted to join!

Who remembers the movie from 2000? I found out about it because Road Runner records did the soundtrack

I lived in Windsor (Canada) when these first came out. None of the coming shops in my hometown could carry these and I had to travel across the river to Detroit to pick them up. I couldn't believe what I was reading and seeing. I also couldn't understand why Tim Vigil just didn't work for Marvel or DC and get paid. True pioneer.

Tim and David both also announced that there is FINALLY going to be a complete hardcover Omnibus-like collection of Love of the Damned issues 1-15. Tim posted the artwork for the cover on his Instagram and Patreon pages.

A collection would be great. I have reached that level of laziness that keeps me out of the back issue questing. Just put it all together and let me order it online, I'm tired. Thanks guys, you rock.
