I’ve been using photoshop over 3 decades and was thinking about certification. I found this video to be extremely valuable information to assist in decision making. The key understanding for me is that certification is not an evaluation of creative ability, but rather your grasp of how to effectively use the program. Ultimately I decided not to seek certification, but again I found this video a true value. Thank you.
Thank you so much Liam. Sorry for acknowledging your comment so late. You are absolutely correct, it is a pain to go through as you feel like you are being tested for something that you do not need but then you have the satisfaction to know you KNOW the tool and its features. Then the path is long to master your creativity.

i registered for my ACA photoshop, illustrator and in Design course next month...it will take 5 months to get all three.. wish me luck!

I've been thinking about doing this certification for a while but this video has me in a bit of a panic. I'm an in-agency designer and have been using PS for over a decade; I'd thought it would be a breeze to get that 63% for the pass... those questions are insane though, even that question about creating a new blank layer - I've always used the 'new layer icon' under the layers and or the keyboard shortcut, never bothered with other ways. Same with keyboard shortcuts, I know a ton and almost never use drop down menus, but it's all muscle memory - can do the 'save-for-web' shortcut instantly, but I'd struggle to 'say' what the buttons are without a keyboard infront of me...
In most adobe suit products there are many ways of doing the same thing, but most professionals only use the one method. The test seems more like a memory based 'technical support test' rather than actual 'mastery' of the software. And it also massively depends on what you use the software for in your job; I'm a designer, not a photographer, so I rarely use bridge or lightroom. Was also, as an agency designer, taught to embed EVERYTHING in PS (as opposed to linked objects whenever possible in ID or AI).
GetTheCheeseToSickbay that sums it up quite very well. Same here - working with PhotoShop or the whole Creative Suite on dailies as a professional media designer for over 2 decades. But those questions Adobe is asking are not imho representing your skills.

Where can i find these information on what i should learn the exam contents and the resources provided? Adobe lacks masterclasses it shouldn't be only certificates. I want to get master certification

@Faizan Studio I don't know if use it, but at the time I used "G-metrix's" adobe certification prep. It's a test to get you ready for certification (pretty decent).

Does ACE test also do hands on movement through photoshop like the ACA test or is it just all questions with multiple choice answers?

How much is the training itself?
congratulations! just how many months of practice does it takes to pass this exam? 5 months or 1 year ? more or less? plz tell me
It took me less than 3 months of prep to pass, though i would’ve practiced for 6 months if i could

Is an Adobe certification required for a youtuber who is monetized on how to videos or someone who makes money offering their own courses?
Thx for the comment. There is no requirement of any kind in art or online teaching. Being an adobe certified expert does not mean being an expert retoucher or designer. It only means you fully understand the product and know what it does and where things are. As explained in the video, this was more a personal goal than anything else.
