- I created this series of images to capture the ephemeral beauty and complex emotions that accompany a relationship with an animal, particularly a dog. The vibrant colours of the scarves are symbolic of the joy and happiness that dogs often bring into our lives. Similar to the fabric billowing in the wind, our time with our pets is unpredictable and full of surprises. Although each photograph already represents a mere moment in time, the way the fabric is frozen highlights the significance of that moment, symbolising how preciously fleeting it is.
In this video, we present the results of the first 18 months working on the project and what it took to create these 20+ images.

Ahhh I am so happy to hear that - everything about Busters shoot was so special - I mean snow on a beach, how often do you see that?! (Never before in my case hahaa!) Every time we speak of him now I follow his name with 'Buster-Buster!' 😁🧡

Honestly, that shoot meant the world to me, and everything aligned perfectly. It feels like it was a case of the Universe saying that Pixie was going to be okay. The snow, the sun, three scarf you had being our signature colour... all of it. It will always be my favourite piece of art. I started to get emotional again watching this.
Really enjoyed the commentary and thought processes behind all of these. Brilliant video, and I'm so proud my girl was a part of this epic, historical project! Love you guys.

You are absoloutely right, Pixie is such a sweet and special soul and I totally agree that the whole thing was like a positivfe message from the ether - I just couldn't belive our luck, sunshine, snow laden pine trees and the most perfect Husky model there ever was in Pixie. We love you both too and I'm so happy that her photos and resulting artwork mean so much to you. My heart is full! 💕

That's the one - we just couldn't remember what they were called for the life of us! XD Oh really? I've not heard that one.... I love the magicalness of that idea though - makes total sense with the matching rocks on each opposite coast.
Just watched the video! It's brilliant , showing the behind the scenes stuff that translates to the magical images. And lovely to see you two together, still bouncing ideas, with the love that you have for the dogs, the images and each other.

Thank you! We had a lot of fun doing these photos, and filming the video. Unbelievably there was about two hours of footage of us talking through the Scarf Project photos that we managed to cut down to about 20 minutes XD

Well if you watch Ollie's Scarf Project video you'll see he chose it himself! Usually we match the colour in with the surroundings and select one that will complement/contrast the dogs fur colour.
Fantastic work, guys. Love your joint-up enthusiasm and love of your art.....and of course of all those lovely doggos you've worked with. I'm also curious of which light sticks you use, I know you mentioned it in the video, which sounded like 'Pelex Light Sticks' but I can't seem to find them. Anyway, keep up the great work......Merry Christmas to you both.
Ahhh thank you so much for this lovely comment. I win in the enthusiasm department though right? ;-) The lights I'm referring to are Westcott Ice Lights, although you can get similar products by lots of different brands. -Cat
