I don't understand why this song isn't better known. In my opinion, it's one of my favorite post-Beatles (in fact, even post-Wings) Macca songs, and it contains several killer lines, e.g.: "Working hard for the dream/Scoring goals for the other team" and "It's not just a love machine/It doesn't work out if you don't work at it"--great stuff!
It's due to the fact that Beatles' fans believe it is fashionable to discredit Paul's solo work when often times it's exceptional and right on par with his Beatles material, like this song.
i think it would down the fact that Linda died a short time after making this album which is why it's not as commonly played on radio's and music tv channels
I just love this track and album. Takes me back to 1989 when I had a mega sound system in my 4x4 and this would blast out - full volume. It was kicking then and still does now:-)
I LOVE this video and song SO MUCH!! Glad I was lucky to be at several of those concerts in '89 & '90 and see him perform this live. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND why NO one has done a REACTION to this song.
Heard this song for the first time at Birmingham NEC concert on world-tour of 89/90 promoting 'Flowers In the Dirt' album plus many Beatles songs and it was all sensational 'live !
To think I didin't want to pay $60 a ticket to see him on this tour, probably only because I only paid $14 for WIngs over America...At least I heard that great voice in person
I am kicking myself for not seeing this tour. Paul at the top of his game. It was my first chance to see him and I blew it. I never even asked my parents. I assumed they'd say no, even though the concert was around both Xmas and my birthday. Why didn't I try? It was only a 2-hr drive away. He doesn't come to my country that often.
We kave played this fantastic song at our wedding ceremony in Athens 20 years ago. The marriage still goes strong and I always adore the song.
When Gilmour comes in it goes onto a whole new level. What a song!

Totally agree
Fabulous song 😀
Place your bets - No regrets
Absolutely, loved this song, especially David Gilmour, the real guitar solo player on that record, different to this video !! Great song !!!!

This song deserves so much better… just great

My favorite composer (McCartney) and favorite guitarist (David Gilmour) on the same track. What's not to like?

The guitar player from Genesis is even better

Happy Birthday, sir Paul. Biggest love from Russia!
McCartney is a genius!!!!
Like many "Flowers in the Dirt" songs, "We Got Married" is inoffensive but unexciting.
I really love this song...and video.
