This is my first time seeing one of your reaction videos and I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see your reaction to an older movie. You have a very pleasant demeanor and style that draws the viewer in. Nicely done Addie, nicely done. I will be checking out your other videos.....Have a great day......
Thank you for your reaction Addie. As you mentioned the "Amazing Grace" song, I suggest you to listen Dan Vasc cover. Many people who liked the original also liked it. And, about reactions, you will probably like to see "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". Main characters are played by Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, but in a sci-fi film/romantic drama.
Jim Carrey’s first movie (a bit part) was in Peggy Sue Got Married. It’s directed by Francis Ford Coppola, so it’s pretty good. It was the rival studio’s response to Back to the Future (time travel). Stars Kathleen Turner and Nicholas Gage. Morgan Freeman’s 1st movie (bit part) was in Brubaker. Prison movie, quite good, starring Robert Redford.
If you like Jim Carrey being a bit more grounded and emotional, you could be the first youtuber to react to The Majestic, probably my favourite movie of his ^_^
One of the greatest comedy motion pictures I've ever seen, I've got to admit that. If I may suggest next film to react, I'd suggest "The Leningrad Cowboys Go America". An Aki Kaurismäki film shot in the United States and spoken in English. :)
I'd forgotten the very beginning of this movie - funny how the movie tries to lay the groundwork that Bruce just "can't" be an a-hole, only to then spend most of the rest of the runtime putting that to the very very heavy test. But I do have to say, that first argument was his girlfriend's fault. Bruce was clearly word-vomiting at the end of a horrific day (not even just a garden variety bad day) and she did exactly what he then said she did (make it about herself). You're supposed to let that one roll off in the moment, and then do something like wait until the next day when he's feeling better and gently ask "so, do you really hate our mediocre life?" at which time he'll make a cute face, say "noooo", and then both can smile and move on. Good Partner 101 stuff!
There are a lot of moments that sneak up on you in this one, some universal truths that we tend to forget. "You want a miracle? BE the miracle!" is my favorite
I love the soundtrack in this movie. It helps elevate the feeling of love between Grace and Bruce so the prayer that Bruce witnesses from Grace hits harder. And it’s trivial but the spoon manifestation in the diner was a really cool effect. I wonder how they did that. Somebody will probably say, there is no spoon. Love the reactions Addie! ✌️😎💕
Hi Addie, If you want a good Jim Carrey movie where he shows his real acting talent have a look at "The Majestic". A classic feel good movie which I'm sure you would enjoy.
Luv Morgan Freeman as god! Perfect! Jim Carrey is funny as heaven in thus movie! Hahaha Luv gods advice... "Be the Miracle"! Sam the dog was great! Great reaction and thanks for sharing Addie!❤️💛
@@MichaelDzikowski-ms9izThere are so many dead bodies on Mount Everest, it's not even certain how many there are. Estimates range from as few as 200 to as many as 340. Those are incredible numbers.
Check out the Truman Show for more of Carey’s emotional range. Man in the Moon is also good but sadly that movie marked the start of his superstar decline due to his method acting on set.
The follow up is with the other news guy! Evan Almighty. Then there's Heaven can Wait from early 80s, Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt, Oh God from the mid to late 70s.
The bit where Bruce is messing with Evan live on air is Steve Carrells best performance in anything. Somehow, he sells that it's not him in control of his actions. I don't know how you even try to portray that, but he does.
I actually love this movie. This is 1 of my all time favorite movies it never fails to make me laugh and cry. I will say Evan almighty is fantastic! Like it actually may be better than Bruce almighty maybe possibly. Can't wait to wait to see your reaction to that
The post-it scene was actually built. There where hundreds of post-it on every surface and on each one of them there was an actual prayer written by the whole cast and crew.
How were you not laughing at Bruce's meltdown on air??? My cousin and I were laughing our asses off the first time we saw this movie. But we're huge Jim Carrey fans
Oh pleaseeee please please watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind if you want to see a *phenomenal* performance by Jim Carrey in a more serious role! Easily a top 10 movie of all time for me personally.
You think Steve Carell is rude in this, waiting until you see him in The Way Way Back. One of my favorite coming-of-age movies. Definitely have to watch Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it has a really stacked cast with a cool concept. I also just watched the anime movie, A Silent Voice and it was amazing, but it's an emotional watch.
Set in, yes but It wasn’t filmed here. I think it was specifically Jim Carrey that didn’t want to film here so the only thing that’s on location is establishing shots and maybe some Niagara Falls.
@keef5 You're right. I think the shots of the skyway and the outside scene of the diner were shot in Buffalo. I remember when Jim Carrey was promoting the film back in the day he said his father used to take him to Buffalo Sabres games when he was younger because they lived right over the border. I could be wrong though. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!
As a Buffalo sports fan, the most unrealistic part of this movie is the Sabres winning the Stanley Cup in the two weeks that Bruce had God's powers. Because that implies that they somehow made it to the finals and won a game or two without divine intervention.
I've never seen anyone react to Evan Almighty. I thought it was actually slightly better. IF you don't react to it, you should watch it privately. You'd like it.

No lie this movie is how i never misspell beautiful anymore.
That's so funny. When I was a little kid my teacher taught us, "bear eating apple up tree I'm full." I'm 54 now and still hear it in my head.
LITERALLY SAME
I'm so glad I'm not alone
Jim Carrey AND Steve Carell in the same room must be amazing.
Alrighty then.

"Behind every great man there is a woman rolling her eyes"
That's a life truth.
60% of younger men are single and women don´t care about them.
Straight up 😅
The bloopers from Jack & Jill are hilarious !!!!
I love how Addie is so concerned with Bruce misusing his abilities until Grace's "fun time" scene then it's okay. 😉
Can you blame her? That scene is quite...pleasurable.

Thanks for the reaction. Liar Liar is such a funny Jim Carrey movie. I recommend it
It's goooood!!
Great flick!
Totally agree on more bloopers being shown at the end of a movie.
They did that in "Liar Liar" too, and "Bottoms"
@@najhoant The bloopers in the Rush Hour movies were also great.
That bit in the bloopers when Jim comes in as Sammy Davis Jr always kills me
For me, a Victor Borge fan, it's, well, the Victor Borge parody lol
Fun fact, at 15:50 its a Saleen S7, wich is not a coincidence at all!
Time to watch The Truman Show!
Evan Almighty is a good one too, IMO
this is the film that got Steve Carell his big start

Thanks, Addie, for sharing your reaction to "Bruce Almighty." Seeing this in the theater was my introduction to Steve Carell's talent.

You definitely should watch "CLICK" from 2006 with Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale, and the one and only Christopher Walken.

The peak of Mount Everest has been a literal pile a garbage for years. They missed that in the movie. :D
To climb up there, you actually have walk over 70 years of garbage, empty oxygen tanks, broken equipment and dead climbers buried in the snow.

Evan is the main character in the sequel to this movie.

Great movie, funny and cute and emotional too ❤

If you get the chance watch the number 23. Jim Carrey gives you a different side of his acting talent with this psychological thriller.
Great fun movie, and even though Carrey isn't in the sequel, that's actually a lot of fun, too.
Highly recommend The Truman Show as a different kind of Jim Carrey film, it's fantastic
