Marie an Italian American mother played by Doris a Jewish American mother stands for mothers and mothers in law ALL over the world. The writing and acting are superb and this will be funny in 50 years time. Sign of a true classic. Bravo.
The scene where she tells Ray she's pregnant is so hard to watch. Marie's not letting them have their moment is always so upsetting. I know it's just a show but the character is based on the producers mother that means a person like this and other people like her exist in the world.
Marie is a nightmare! If I were Debra I would tell her how I felt about her everytime she spoke! And, no visiting without calling first and I always keep my doors locked.
@@JacquelineKirley-b5o a show with a character based on an actual person. But I’ll be sure to find that chill pill and take it. If you’ll take some reading lessons and some “how not to restate what’s already been said” lessons, because I said in my initial post “I know it’s just a show.” But still I’ll realize I’m watching “just a show” if you’ll realize you’re watching a recreation of an actual event and then realize I said that’s why it was hard for me to watch already. Just a genius!
Imagine the amount of mothers who are like Marie for them to make it a stereotypical character 😂 pity those families out there who have to endure a Marie, no less on a daily basis 😬
One of the reasons i love this show is that marie is so much like my mother in-law. Many of the things marie has said and done to Debra has happened to me. It's therapeutic to watch this show
You MUST remember, THIS to Joni Lamb is about money. Deathly fearing a loss of ministry revenue and since she is surrounded by big payroll, family and friends on payroll her lavish lifestyle is threatened. Another You Tube said it is a HOUSE OF CARDS. It surely appears as so.
Still hilarious after all these years. 😂
That sculpture! 🤣
It's a sailboat...that could use a pair of underwear 🤣🤣🤣
Adelaide Book Thee
even after more than twenty years its still hilarious specially marie's abstract sculpture
Somehow, a character that is so easily unlikable is my favorite and it’s because Doris played her perfectly!
Marie can only be a favorite character because she is in a sitcom and you are not living with or near her for real.
My favorite is Frank. He was the only one that can sometimes get under Marie's skins. 😂😂😂
Marie/Doris is a scene-stealer. The best part of every episode.
Sometimes superseded by Frank, who is also quite awful.
I love Marie! If she were my mother in law, she could come to my house and do all the cleaning she wants! I really am a terrible housekeeper!

Still watching the greatest comedy show that ever existed. Love it.😂😂😂 helps to keep me happy. ❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
“Say what you want about American cars… Beats the house” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The sculpture!!😂😂😂
That was funny has .... lol.
What was it trying to look like
Ha ha from this angle it looks like a sailboat lol 😂
The car has the dust on the windows before it strikes the house.
“I’M GONNA TALK TO YOUR FATHER!!!!!!” Poor Frank is probably scarfing a sandwich minding his own business to have Marie come barge in!!!! 😂😂😂
Too good...reality is humorous

But it’s a to show so you can laugh, don’t be such a stuck up tight arse
Take a chill pill. It's only a show.

53:34 the local radio station in my area uses this as a joke sound effect sometimes
nice! :D
After all these years i realised Marie was driving!! Being from India I assumed Frank was driving!!!!😂

Raymond gets more upset about the dog wandering into his house rather than targeting his anger at Marie plowing into the house!
❤Doris Roberts is the star of this show❤iconic❤love from Finland
I would have never married Ray once I met his mother.
Got THAT right. lol.
Me neither
I would never want to have no laws like them
BARONES ( Lock the Doors. They are coming). lol.
Me neither
20:06 and 20:23 I bet Marie never slapped him before

Debra is gorgeous.
Mary is or Was annoying. r.i.p. Mary. Doris.
Deborah has committed domestic abuse more than once.

Hated the character. Like my MIL but mine never mentioned love. We even had a bra episode like the Barones did.
