    For those using older versions of PPT, you can create a checkmark by creating a text box and adding a ✓ symbol (unicode)

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  2 года назад

      And the icon listing is searchable in newer versions. Either I missed it or they added it - either way, it's improved.

    This is great. One question though. How do I get it to start as a box? Also- how do I get it to toggle in slideshow mode (after I click twice to show and disappear- it ends the slideshow or goes to the next slide). Much appreciated :)

    Once you comeout of presentation, even if unchecked it remains checked

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  2 года назад

      This is an animation effect, not an actual change to your graphic.

    Firstly, thank you as it was very informative. Secondly, is one able to save the presentation as a pdf document (to print out later) where only the check marks you selected during the presentation are saved and not all the 'open boxes' are check marked.

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  3 года назад

      The system here is for animating, so they don't save out in that animated state. That means if you export it will just be whatever default setup you did.

    Hi there- How do I save the slide to allow others to check and uncheck the boxes?

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  5 лет назад

      Hi Tara. This approach does not save the actual check state of the boxes - it's for use during a live presentation.
      There IS a way to do actual check boxes like in a form and I believe it does save them. I think it's this:
      answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_powerpoint-mso_other-mso_o365b/clickable-checkbox-in-powerpoint-slide/15c9c32a-0c7d-4e29-9fb0-eecd8a730937
      I believe that's what I used in the first place. Another thing to look into is Adobe Acrobat Pro, which will allow you to create a fillable form in a PDF. You need the pro version, not the free Acrobat PDF Reader.

  • @batmite1977
    @batmite1977 3 года назад

    Brilliant thanks for that! (shame you have to be in presentation mode for any animations to work but i guess that word 'SHAME' pops up a lot with PP)

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, there's a system with actual check boxes, like form field type check boxes, but they are pretty much impossible to format so they are nearly useless to presenters.

    Great! Thanks, Mr. Expert!!!. If I make those boxes and check marks in the slide master to have them on all slides as answer options Does the checkmark selection stay in the same spot on the same page if clicked and moved to the next slide?

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  3 года назад

      That's an interesting idea. Though I should think they would clear when you go to the next slide since it's creating a new slide.

    • @khalidyusufalkirwi
      @khalidyusufalkirwi 3 года назад

      @@steprockmedia thanks for your reply. they are cleared but not when you move to the next slide. They are cleared when you go back to the previous slide and then return forward. Another question, if you could kindly answer, is that I have imported the question pages as jpg image. I have imported them as a photo album but could not make their layer behind the layer of the clickable checkmarks in the slide master, maybe since I imported them as a photo album, Any idea?

  • @AlyssaAnim8s

    Is there a way to make it so that it isn’t automatically checked when you begin the presentation?

    • @steprockmedia
      @steprockmedia  2 года назад

      That's the way it's done in this vid. It starts with un-checked boxes.
      You SHOULD be able to flip the animation sequence either way in this approach.

    Great video but there's one flaw. You should be telling people that you clicked on "slide show" (bottom right) at 2:44. Instead, you just said 'alright". It took me an hour to figure that out. Because if you don't click on slide show, this stuff doesn't work.

      Yes - that's a bit more general PowerPoint so I kinda glossed over that since this is more concept-specific. But, bottom-right corner to show.
