I got $0.01 per thousand views in the shorts. I did 116,000 views and won $1.02. At least for me, it wasn't worth it. If it was $0.10 per thousand views, it would be fairer.
Does that mean if one channel is using copyrighted music in each short and the other one is not using any music, they will generate same amount of revenue if they have equal views?
So, from what I understand ... of all the money that is in the creator fund, it gets shared equally between those who used music and those who didn't. That means, that if you use music, you contribute LESS to the creator fun ... BUT ... you get an equal share with those who didn't. I think if you don't use music, you should get more or a percentage compared to those using music since we are not paying music labels. If everyone uses music then everyone will get a small amount. to be honest it does not make much sense to me yet, from my calculations the money I received on 30M views without copyright from the shorts bonus would be bigger than the new system if I monetize 150M views I would possibly have this month( so basically 150M now will earn less than 30M with the shorts bonus)
True, thinking about this metric, I believe the average to match Funds Program should be 0.10 cents, or at worst 0.045 cents for copyrighted videos, but I believe this will improve with time. Good to see you HellFrozen, I like your videos 🙏
That does not sound correct. The music copyright splits the money between 2 pools. All the video creators are paid from the video pool. The percentage that you receive from the video pool for you video is not effected if you have copy right music or not. You are only competing with the other video creators for a percentage of that video pool. Now if all video creators decided not to use copyright music then the video pool would technically be larger. So do not remove copyright material from your videos thinking it will increase your revenue.
I wonder which way is easier to get monetized. The 4000 hours from long form in 12 months or the 10 million views from shorts in 90 days. Im going to try both and see which one wins 😅
I was thinking exactly the same thing. If we intentionally don't use music, we contribute more to the creators' pool but it gets shared equally with those that do use music.
@@da_pwo no the point of how they do the money splits is that music or no music, you still get the same amount of money. Originally when Shorts started I made a decision to not monetize them since no Ads were displayed on the Shorts Shelf, and the Watch Page Revenue was so low it didn't seem worth it to me. Now that Shorts are monetized, do I need to go through my back catalog of Shorts a monetize them all, or does Short Ad Revenue gets divvied out regarding of whether or not Watch Page Monetization is on?

Hi my friends. I have an author's channel, but sometimes I make compilations. Recently, monetization was turned off for me :(. I want to mount these few videos in the "reaction on video" format in order to legitimize them (there is such a clause in the rules) . I want to ask you about what size the "second screen" on the background of the video should be for RUclips to perceive the video as a reaction = fair use.
As someone that loved making RUclips shorts to see the funnny comments and numbers go up, the chances of us smaller channels getting 10mil views in 90 days is super low. I don't upload anymore as I have an injury, but I was hoping this might motivate me to go back on the grind. Now that I see it's almost impossible to get, I am in no hurry to get back to RUclips. My highest viewed video is around 2mil but that won't count only new views will. If I done that math right, I would have to post shorts that get 100k+ views every day for 90 days just to maybe hit the requirement. I feel at least 5mil in 90 days would be a fair number, as it's more practical and possible to get for someone that's not a big channel but on their way to being one.
Just don't let go on your dreams guys on making it big someday, being a content creator in Y.T. just keep pushing it be consistent and positive in life. "Remember it is you guys who make this youtube platform Great" ;)

Since "Send Feedback" option didn't work for me, I'm gonna spam these videos with my issue on RUclips. The issue: My editors or managers can not do community posts from their laptops, only their phones. When can I expect this function to be available on laptop/computers as well? They need to share images that they created and have on their computers, so transferring it to their phones first and then sharing from there is an unnecessary hassle.

It's interesting though because so many of us get excitied about a couple thousand view per odd short but then YT be like get 10 mil and we'll talk so I don't know, data will show over time I guess (or some of us just suck with focus / execution :D). Thanks for sharing, congrats on the impressive numbers too!
Thank you very much, this is useful information for me. I will continue to improve my video clips and will keep posting regularly. Thank you again for bringing such good information.
Waiting for 1k subscribers 😀
Thanks for the content can you just explain about the long from video content monetization split up noms also
As someone who is just starting out on RUclips this is awesome to be able to make another income on shorts and long videos.

Wow Amazing 👍👏 terimakasih informasinya RUclips kreator
That’s great but can you guys talk about more algorithms on youtube and how it works ?
Exactly.. or maybe there must be 10M videos of short for 90 days.
Thank you so much for this program you guys literally changed my life❤
Thank you youtube creators for inspiring us with this good news for all.more patience.
You're from Texas?
Can you give us an idea of the average CPM for shorts?
Been waiting for this
goood q
That is the question, isn't it. lol
@@OvalRC I know it was just an example, but that 320k views, but got $1000 feel emblematic.
My pleasure. .. in my initial stage you recognize me.. I am overwhelmed, that I also be a part of this.
Thank you You tube partner program.
I am facing physical trouble, and reason of my inconsistency. But still I am trying 🙂
Just don't let go on your dreams guys on making it big someday, being a content creator in Y.T. just keep pushing it be consistent and positive in life. "Remember it is you guys who make this youtube platform Great" ;)
This is an excellent explanation! great job 👏😎

Still trying to get to 1000 subscribers not giving up ever. 👊 however, shorts and long-form content in combination have been doing well personally for my channel hopefully does for other creators here. 🙏💙
Good Luck 🌹🌹 Enjoy the journey and soon reach the wishing mark ❤️

Very good!👍 But the problem is, the watch hours was decreasing Instead of increasing!

Recently started my channel and so happy to have such a great news! Much power to the small creators, you got this champs ✨
Same to you fellow small creator ❤
Thank you same to you ❤
Since "Send Feedback" option didn't work for me, I'm gonna spam these videos with my issue on RUclips. The issue: My editors or managers can not do community posts from their laptops, only their phones. When can I expect this function to be available on laptop/computers as well? They need to share images that they created and have on their computers, so transferring it to their phones first and then sharing from there is an unnecessary hassle.
Very good youtube 👍
Thank you so much RUclips creators for inspiring us better to make our own videos than to reuse content.
4:19 thank you so much for making this video. Now I understand a little bit more about shorts. More power and blessings to you all!
Yes, it's been a long grind for me, years so far and only half way! But I'm proud of my content, and that's the main thing
Started this channel last month, super excited to have the opportunity to monetize with shorts. Shout out to all new and small creators. Keep grinding! 😝Let's make 2023 the year!
Excellent explanation....
Step by step..
Thank you for free music ni copy right
Thanks so much for this opportunity dear YPP, this give us the upcoming RUclipsrs a great hope and I know one day we will also be named among the big RUclipsrs and that's exactly what I'm working towards. Congratulations 🎊 to us all content creators
The fact that we can use any music on shorts and not worry about copyright is really nice !
Yes, it is great. But still depends on the views of the videos.
WHY CANT IT BE LIKE THAT ON NORMAL VIDS?.......
@@Flyerstone true
I got copyright when I uploaded short with music
Same
Why can't monetize the reuse account, I think you guys need to reconsider this issue.
It’s a useful description, but I’m assuming the process is working constantly and not just once a month as the description implies. I am already seeing earnings against my shorts but RPM is pitifully low
Awesome update! Lets goooo
