But yeah, seriously, just, no. I would rather the series just die. People will say that a series changing is normal, but I don’t remember anybody actually asking for this. I just want more stories with the reds and blues, I want stories with the characters getting fleshed out, or exploring the backstories of already established characters. I don’t think anybody was asking for this, but I think this is where we stuck now. Now that so many of the former cast members have left the company, I think we’re stuck with this zombie of a show and company.
They literally turned Red vs Blue into an Anime… for… some reason.

I agree for the most part, but I think that Reds and Blues needed to be retired sooner or later (ideally at season 13, shisno paradox DID NOT FUCKING HAPPEN), since the show itself is being passed around from writer to writer and they end up forgetting their character development and relevant plot points. Zero was actually a good point to introduce a new cast, but they blew it due to non-existent writing and over-reliance on action. A show about the fucking Chorus rookies would have made more sense than this.

@@LucyWest370 Amen. I really thought they were setting them up as the next idiot squad after season 13 at first but then they faded into obscurity lol. A show centering around Chorus rookies would have been great for Dr. Grey alone.
@@TheSynthPunk YES. Absolutely, that is a fantastic idea. You have a group of characters that already have established team dynamics, unique personalities, and that haven’t really been fleshed out. That is a great direction to go in, and I would love to see the situation on Chorus now that the war is over and the UNSC were escalating tensions.

Part of me, perhaps my remaining rationality, keeps saying that they clearly aren't making this for me or any fan like me, and that it's time to leave it be and just move on. And yet for reasons that elude me I keep *coming back for more pain.* Perhaps it's my way of mourning...
I just want the series to end. When you've reached Full House parody, that's how you know it's gone on for too long.
They need to rebrand, because this is not the Red Vs Blue that I know and love.

TBH, while that trailer was a tone deaf, abomination of an announcement, The RTX panel has got me cautiously optimistic. I feel like Eddy Rivas knows what he's doing with RVB, even if the other writers don't.
Although, if the animation is anything like that trailer, then we've regressed past even the un-remastered version of BGC.
BGC worked because the budget was literally three people logging onto halo with a recorder. Look at that turn at 0:18 lmao
I'd like to stay optimistic as well. We don't really need the original sim troopers for a fun show (because god they deserve some fucking rest after seasons 15-17), just witty writing and the return of "dick around for a third of the season -> get to the plot -> cool fight" formula.
@@LucyWest370 I think that really is the problem. See, they had to write around the limitations of the game early on. There could only be so many characters on screen, and some object interactions could only be done with certain characters (only default red and blue characters can interact with the flag on CTF maps because they're the only characters who *can* show up).
I think Monty's animations made the writers a bit too comfortable with scripting things that the games couldn't do and let them tell more emotional stories thanks to more detailed character animation.
Ultimately, Red vs Blue started as a sci fi military comedy, and I don't think they can stray too far from that. They're...constricted, in a way. Perhaps it would behoove them to start a new project and let RVB rest...even if it means ending one of their longest shows.

Honestly, I didn’t even know they were still making another season, since this trailer wasn’t anywhere other than their Facebook page. And boy, I really wish my first assumption was right. Please, guys, just get this over with and let this show die already 😣🙏🏻

So I buy into the whole idea that rvb zero is just one of jaxs shitty films, so to me that means that in my rvb head canon, Family shatters is a sitcom made by jaxs due to the popularity of rvb zero.

Legit they went “oh they didn’t like that, time to go in the complete opposite direction and ignore the actual criticisms people gave our show!” I haven’t seen this much reverse gear thrash since the star wars sequels.
Trust me family shatters is better written than RvB Zero
The more they do these gimmicky marvel superhero plotlines, the more it strays from being Red vs Blue. RVB was originally believable because it could’ve feasibly taken place in the actual Halo canon, but seasons 15-ZERO pretty much ruined all of that in favor for this weird, self contained pseudo story. The story should’ve ended after Chorus, or it should’ve at least stayed grounded on Chorus
Why.
Eh, I'd give it a try if they get a better writer on board and get back to MCs dicking around instead of it being a glorified episode of Power Rangers.
