  • The Word/Logos of John's Gospel. "MY FOOD is to do the will of Him who sent me and finish His work." John 4:34. Jesus was a prophet. As as a prophet he received the word of God the same way as every other prophet had received the word of God. The word of God is the bread of God (see Matthew 4:4) and this word was Jesus' food, his bread. John 4:34; see 6:57; 12:49-50. He ate this bread by carrying out the Father's word, doing the will of the Father, keeping his word. This is how it was his food, his bread (John 4:34). When we eat ordinary bread it becomes us. Having eaten the bread of God, the word of God, this bread became him, flesh. Jesus was the fleshly embodiment of the word of God because this flesh kept God's word, he ate God's bread.
God expresses Himself by His word and this time He expressed His love for us. His word became Jesus, the flesh Jesus, and that dead flesh hanging on the cross was the word of God, the Father's love for us. The Father Himself expressed his love for us by means of the fleshly embodiment of His word, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus expressed his love for us by obeying the word of God to go to the cross and keep the Father's word. It was a Father and son project of love for us, God Almighty and his human son.
    Hebrew noun bsr - flesh
Hebrew verb bsr - to proclaim the good news
The good news the Father proclaimed to us was the fleshly man Jesus Christ who embodied the Father's word. God is love and His word to us was His love. That dead flesh hanging on the cross was the word of God, the Father's love.

The word of God is the bread of God. This bread, this word, was Jesus' food. He ate this bread by doing the will of God, by carrying out His word. "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and finish His work" (John 4:34). This is the bread the Father gives, the bread which descends out of heaven and gives life to the world (Jn 6:32-33). As a prophet, Jesus received the word of God just like every other prophet received the word of God in the Old Testament - by the Holy Spirit which came upon him at the Jordan, the Spirit which DESCENDED out of heaven. This is the bread the Father gives, the bread which DESCENDED out of heaven, the bread of life which is the word of God (Jn 6:32-33). Because this was his food, Jesus consumed this bread by doing the will of God, carrying out the word of God. When we eat bread, it becomes us, our flesh. When Jesus ate the bread of life which the Father gives, the word of God, the word became flesh just as everyday bread becomes our flesh when we consume it. This is how the word became flesh and this is also the reason Jesus said you must eat his flesh to have life. Having eaten this bread, the word of God, this bread became his flesh and his flesh became the fleshly embodiment of the word of God having fulfilled that word by doing it. Now that the word had become flesh, his flesh was embodiment of the word of God which he says we must eat to have life. And we eat his flesh just like he consumed the bread of God. We receive the Spirit of Christ when we are born again and we must be conformed to the image of God's human son and walk as he walked suffering as he suffered. The word of God which Jesus received had become his flesh since he consumed it by doing it. Now his flesh is that word and we consume this word, his flesh, by becoming one body with him, the body of Christ, and we do this by following in his footsteps walking as he walked, taking up our cross and willingly suffer as he suffered.

This is not what Jesus teaches in the gospel, and also what the Apostles teaches in scriptures.
      Proof?
The Church Fathers who received the "laying of hands" like Polycarp and St.Ignatius of Antioch, Church Fathers in 100 to 200 AD are teaching the "Holy Eucharist" even St.Paul teaches the "real presence" of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. As Jesus clealy said at the Last Supper consecrating the "bread and wine" said, "this is my body, this is my blood".
This is not a symbol, if anyone teaches it as symbol, then they are contradicting the very words of Jesus Christ. Read John6:66 the 666 body of believers who rejected the Holy Eucharist.
Proof that the interpretation of any individual is not the Truth. (1Timothy3:15)
One simple question to ask those people who interpret the bible is,
      Who give you teaching authority?
Did Jesus or any of the Apostles "lay hands" on you?

Yes, but Jesus only promised the guidance of the Spirit of Truth to the Apostles united to Peter.(John14:16-17, John16:12-14 and John15:26) That's why Jesus gave teaching authority to the Apostles I(Luke10:16) and gave only the Keys to Peter to bind and loose any teachings. (Matthew16:19) Why Jesus gave the Keys to Peter only? Because only to Peter did Jesus gave the powerful promised of protection that his faith will not fail. (Luke22:32)
Now the simple question is, did Jesus gave you a Duplicate Keys and did Jesus also promised you that your faith will not fail?
And for you to claim the guidance of the Spirit of Truth, have you ask yourself if you received "laying of hands" from any of the Apostles united to Peter?
If you have not received teaching authority, how can you be sure that your bible interpretation is not in error?

Yes, but the Spirit of Truth is not the one who will give you a "TEACHING AUTHORITY". Jesus is the one who was given by the Abba Father the authority in Heaven & earth.
      Proof?
Before the Holy Spirit came down in the Upper Room...Jesus sent the Apostles and 72 disciples to heal and exorcise demons. Remember the Apostles and 72 disciples had not yet received the Holy Spirit when Jesus sent them.
So, if Jesus who gave the Apostles united to Peter the authority, then who give you the "teaching authority"? Definitely the Holy Spirit role is not to give teaching authority but only to empower and guide the believers in Christ to know the Truth to all the people who was given the power to testify and have teaching authority.
Do you have a teaching authority, who lay hands on you?

God is spirit, and He entered the man(second Adam) and did His deeds and spoke though His firstborn Son. And this is how He has operated in His chosen ones ever since. Taking up abode in them and they being made into willing and useful tools in His mighty hand. God does God's deeds. Humans can not. That is why the man Jesus said. "I can do nothing of myself". He was just a surrendered tool/servant in his Father and God's hand. And that is what we are supposed to be likewise. This is how the word became flesh.

_In Mark __7:13__ and Matthew 15:6 Jesus uses the phrase; _*_“the word of God”_*_ and the phrase; _*_“the commandment of God”_*_ interchangeable._
Mark 7:13 Making *the word of God* of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Matthew 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made *the commandment* of God of none effect by your tradition.
_Thus it appears “the word of God” is “the commandment of God.” Here are some old testament verses in which seem to say the same thing:_
Numbers 15:31 Because he hath despised *the word of the LORD,* and hath broken *his commandment,* that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do *his commandments,* hearkening unto the voice of *his word.*
      Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive *my words,* and hide *my commandments* with thee;
_In the above scriptures; the word[s] of God and the commandment[s] of God are one and the same._
John 1:14 And *the Word was made flesh,* and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
_Per John __1:14__, Jesus is God's word become flesh._
_The following is a scripture study that Jesus is the Word._
John 7:16 *Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.*
_When Jesus spoke those words, he would have known (and still knows) that God's doctrine had long been established within the old testament scriptures._
_Within the same book of John, seven chapters later, Jesus says:_
John 14:6 *Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*
_When Jesus spoke the words; "I am the way, the truth, and the life..." Jesus would have known (and still knows) that God's doctrine of the way and the truth was already established in the old testament._
*The Way* is *the law* and *the commandments:*
Psalms 119:32 I will run *the way* of *thy commandments,* when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Psalms 119:1 [...] Blessed are the undefiled *in the way,* who walk *in the law* of the LORD.
Malachi 2:8 But ye are departed out of *the way;* ye have caused many to stumble at *the law;* ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
*The Truth* is *the law* and *the commandments:*
Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all *thy commandments are truth.*
Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and *thy law is the truth.*
_Jesus would have also known (and still knows) God's doctrine had already long been established as to how to obtain life._
Proverbs 7:2 *Keep my commandments, and live; and my law* as the apple of thine eye.
Proverbs 4:4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: *keep my commandments, and live.*
_When Jesus said he is the way, the truth, and the life; he would have known (and still knows) the old testament declared the way and the truth to be God's commandments and laws._
_Also Jesus would have also known (and still knows) the way to obtain life is by keeping God's commandments._
_Jesus would have known (and still knows) that he was (and is) saying that he is God's law and God's commandments and that he is eternal life and the only way to the Father._
_Jesus is God's words made flesh._
_Because it is indicated God made his commandments flesh, do (test) the following:_
_Read some of Jesus's sayings about himself and place “the word of God” which is “the ten commandments” (which are the words of the covenant, Exo __34:28__ & Deu __4:13__) into the very place where Jesus says “I” or “me.”_
      _(Example: John __12:46__)_
*John **12:46** I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.*
John 12:46 I _(the ten commandments)_ am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
      _(Example: John 14:6)_
*John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I _(the ten commandments)_ am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
      (Example John 10:14)
*John **10:14** I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.*
John 10:14 I _(the ten commandments)_ am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
_It would appear that God made (his voice) his Word flesh._
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have *I* been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known *me*, Philip? he that hath seen *me* hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?*
John 14:10 Believest thou not that *I am* in the Father, and the Father in *me?* the words that *I* speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in *me*, he doeth the works.
John 14:11 Believe *me* that I am in the Father, and the Father in *me*: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, *I* say unto you, He that believeth on *me*, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
      (Further Example: John 14:9-12)
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me _(the ten commandments),_ Philip? he that hath seen me _(the ten commandments)_ hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I _(the ten commandments)_ am in the Father, and the Father in me _(the ten commandments/the words of the covenant)?_ the words that I _(the ten commandments)_ speak unto you I _(the ten commandments)_ speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me _(the ten commandments),_ he doeth the works.
John 14:11 Believe me _(the ten commandments)_ that I am in the Father, and the Father in me _(the ten commandments):_ or else believe me _(the ten commandments)_ for the very works' sake.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me _(the ten commandments),_ the works that I _(the ten commandments)_ do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
_Question; How can anyone do greater works than Jesus as stated in this apparent riddle in John __14:12__?_
_Using the ten commandments as a light (Psa 119:105 & Pro __6:23__) we can see and understand the riddle in John __14:12__ in the following way:_
*John **14:12** Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.*
_Howbeit this riddle seem contradictory to Jesus' statement in John __13:16__:_
*John **13:16** Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.*
_Question followups; How can anyone do anything greater did Jesus did when Jesus never sinned?_
_Pondering an Answer: Jesus never sinned. And we on the other hand, are sinners. We have to repent because we are sinners._
_Pondering Answers continued: Jesus never had to repent. Jesus never sinned therefore Jesus could never have any sins to repent of. Jesus cannot repent of sins._
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me _(the ten commandments),_ the works that I do shall he do also _(he shall also keep the ten commandments);_ and greater works than these shall he do *_(repenting_*_ of not keeping the ten commandments);_ because I go unto my Father.
_It would appear that “greater works” would mean further or go beyond._
_If this study is correct (using the ten commandments as a light) then what Jesus is saying is that he views repentance of sin as no mere small matter. In John __14:12__ he is saying repentance of sin is a very great thing; even greater (going beyond) what he himself had to do._
_Jesus is God's word made flesh. Further, Jesus is the new covenant in the flesh. Notice in Matthew __26:26__-28._
Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
      Matthew 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of *the new testament,* which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

No, he did not receive "more" of God's Spirit. The reason you won't find anything about Jesus' life before his baptism and what his walk was like is during that time is because it is really irrelevant. Because it is irrelevant, the Gospel writers do not bother to mention it. When Jesus received the word of God at the Jordan, he had to keep it perfectly and never sin otherwise the mission for which He was sent from the Jordan would have been a failure. He didn't fail. Hello brother, so in John 1:1, would you say the son is not even being referenced? That instead of the logos being another person or “god”, the logos is referring to the Father specifically and exclusively?

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  4 года назад

The logos at John 1:1 is the food Jesus consumed during his ministry, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and finish His work." John 4:34. When you consume bread you become the bread and the bread becomes you. John 4:34 is how the word, Jesus' bread, became flesh. The word, Jesus' bread, was fully consumed at John 19:30, "It is finished."

The Trinity Delusion excellent point! I heard that in the video but I guess my question is an aside. The logos, was with theos, was theos... this logos in verse 1, in no way is referencing the son who comes in focus at verse 14 - is that correct? This logos in connection to theos in verse 1, theos is referencing only the Father, not a second logos, or the son, but only the Father - is that correct?

    • @TheTrinityDelusion

@@GatheringJacob The logos was theos at 1:1c means the same thing as John 1:18. The word Jesus proclaimed was the revelation of the Father, making the Father known to the world. He did this by speaking the Father's words and doing the Father's works. In this way, the word proclaimed was God the Father whom no one has ever seen but the son expressed Him 1:18. God the Father was doing His will through the man Jesus (Acts 2:22). Jesus gave over his body of flesh to the Father so the Fathere could do whatever He wanted with it. This is why Jesus said, "He who has see me has seen the Father."

Well jesus is that logic that understanding made flesh...the word face to face with himself is the logic and understanding of his own person the Father.
I think this is why jesus himself is fully divine because he demonstrated his divinity by his understanding of All things of the Father..I think people are confusing this for omniscience of the son..but he is the divine reasoning of the father in the flesh.

While I can appreciate and understand your explanation and agree that true life is gained through the "eating" of God's word, I would like to give my two cents for what they may be worth.
Doesn't logos mean more than just "word" or "words"? Can it also mean thought, mind, desire, plan, heart etc? If so, then the word becoming flesh could mean not just the fulfillment of God's promises and plan but also the embodiment of his thoughts, mind, heart, desires, etc (" and the word was God") through the words and actions of Jesus. Man has a saying when they want to more fully explain something......." Let's flesh this out". God did this perfectly with Christ.
We have the scriptures which not only contains the words of God but also some of his thoughts, mind, plan, heart, desires etc. All these are embodied in a physical package...a book. Therefore, in this example we can say........'the word became paper and ink and dwelt in the hands of men'. I believe this may be the gist of what John is getting at.

God expressed Himself through the flesh Jesus. That is what the Gospel of John is about and that is what sonship is about - to be like your Father. This is why he, that flesh, is the way to the Father, a human body raised into glory. To know Jesus is to know his Father.

God planned what light would be and its purpose before he spoke the word. Jesus was planned and his purpose established long before he was actually born. Words are thoughts before they are spoken and these thoughts come from within a person. God planned the universe before it came into existence. He saw the end even before he spoke it into time. Adam was the first man. Jesus the second.

Hey brother... I love your videos, some really deep insight and inspiration on something I always believed Jesus was in fact the son of God not preexistent as Trinitarian‘s belief. However, upon viewing this video I do believe that you’re missing the mark. The word of God did in fact become flesh in Jesus birth. He was not born like any other man, but born of God right from birth. He did not come down and imbody flesh.. but instead became flesh from above as his father was truly his father from birth. The word becoming flesh used in John is speaking about the promised word mentioned centuries ahead. God had a promised word which was to be fulfilled in a future time. This was that time, and in fact the promised word became flesh. Has zero to do with the Trinitarian view but instead the promised word of God which existed since the beginning (before foundations of world) and shared with Abraham and his descendants.. and John the Baptist being the greatest of the prophets because he did prophesy and actually seen the coming of the promised word that all the prophets before him spoke of, including him which spoke about the promised word and finally the promised word became flesh or fulfilled or realized directly as he spoke. The end.
