Smoke from the grinder means the carbide teeth need to be rotated or replaced

Nice repair, but you're not too easy on that grinder are ya?

Nothing easy about stumps. I think it needs some weight on the opposite side of the cutter head to keep it more steady

Would buy this Woods TSG50 again or would you go for something beefier like the Baumalight 3p24? I just upgraded to a 46HP Deere from a 25HP. I have a Baumalight 1P24 Grinder and i'm seriously considering swapping to a swing type. Thanks

I would buy a TSG50 again on a 30hp tractor. I would not buy another one for my 45hp tractor. It's not up to the job. They are overrated from Woods and will not stand that much power. The gear box and the cutter head have been flawless. Everything else is junk. The drive line is junk, the frame is too light, and the pivot points are too sloppy after a few hours of use. I have rebuilt the pivot points twice so far.

@@LostSkills Rodger. That’s kinda what I was wondering. A lightly used one came up locally so I was considering it, I did like your U-Joint conversion you did. I couldn’t be afraid of doing that job too but sounds like the rest of the unit isn’t quite worth It. Thanks for the response!

Nice job! What tractor are you using?
