    Hey Granger Smith glad to see you doing well! I honestly have not heard your name in years and i hired a new guy and was telling him about how we used to jam out to earl dibbles jr and you back in highschool lol. I was an athiest for a long time after turning away from the christian faith. I have a daughter she turns 1 year old in october and could not be happier. Well a few months ago i have gave my life to the lord and i randomly looked up your youtube to show my friend your songs and seen all the preaching and i am so glad to listen to some of your podcasts which have helped me get closer to god in my journey. I want to say i was a strong christian but after living life without christ and coming back i feel like i am 10x stronger in the faith and growing daily. I just want to say i love you brother jesus loves you and i am so happy to see you doing well and working in jesus's name. I pray for your success and happiness in life and to have a healthy happy family with an unbreakable bond. Love a small town Tennessee man -Rex

( idol worship) okay, but do you not bring attention to yourself on your podcast & RUclips channel that we all love watching? & your merch. I think you need to think about what you are expressing here. Saying ALL musicians including Christian artists are committing a sin! I think we all can fall into being idolized. We are sinners that’s why Jesus died for us! We will always struggle with pride & etc…I think it’s hypocritical of you to say that after you have made a living of music & do preaching engagements still use your different platforms to “ idolize “ your life! I think you need to ponder this a bit longer bud! 🤔

    I absolutely respect you and what God is doing through you with this platform. I also agree with you that there is corruption in Christian music, BUT I also believe there is corruption in anything that involves humanity. Coming from the country music scene, I'm certain you were regularly bombarded with fans who really did WORSHIP you. They traveled miles and spent embarrassing amounts of money to be in your presence. I can imagine how awful that must have felt after the Holy Spirit took over your heart. Do I think that same kind of misplaced worship occurs within Christian music, of course. What I don't agree with is the assumption that EVERYONE that attends a concert or sings those songs does it from a sinful, fleshly perspective. What I can KNOW, is only what's in MY heart. I know Who I'm worshipping and His Name is Jesus. If we allow your thoughts on this to permeate ours, where does it end? Should ANYONE sing to God with other believers in a big group, in a small group, in their own homes? Someone might worship them while they're praising God. PLEASE know I support you and your sweet family!! I just kept chewing on this subject and couldn't swallow. Love you, in Christ, my brother.

      Interesting, because I didn't agree with that point. I know I've seen children or young people do things that I've thought were noble, and I feel pride and admiration for them, even though I don't know them or really have anything to do with them. I think it can be self-centered, but I don't think it's limited to that. For instance, I think about the Olympics. There are athletes from other countries that do incredible things and overcome incredible odds. They are then the recipients of a gold medal and their anthem is played. I watch this amazing scene, and I'm proud for them. That has nothing to do with me. I'm just really impressed by what they've done.

      To your point, Granger draws a distinction between being proud of someone vs being impressed. From my understanding he meant that since the Bible has a certain definition for the word pride, he wants to retain that definitio in his everyday language. Today the word proud can take on a meaning similar to being well pleased but Scripturally it's always an elevation of self. I know you know this but just wanted to point out that he did mention that he might be impressed but not 'proud' of someone who has no connection with himself.

    I don't think we can prove Biblically that pride is God's most hated sin. From what I understand, God sees sin as sin, not in the degrees and shades that we tend to give them. I think those levels were something humans created to feel better about themselves and to justify their condemnation of others. James 2 teaches us that if we're guilty in one area then we're guilty in all, meaning that we're lawbreakers, no matter which law we broke. I know we're no longer under the Old Law, but the point carries over regarding God's expectations of our behavior based on His teaching in HIs Word. Yes, there are different earthly consequences of some sins, but I can't see anywhere where the Bible teaches that there are differing levels of Hell based on which sins we've committed. It may very well be, though, that pride is mentioned so often because it's the gateway to so many of the sins we commit. In fact, we can go back to the Garden, and Satan used pride to get Adam & Eve to violate the one law they were given to follow.

    • @lorimostellerjesussaves6264
      @lorimostellerjesussaves6264 21 день назад

      Exactly which is why it is most hated bc pride in your self causes you to become your own god or maybe not your whole life as he says depends on where your at in your house and what room your cleaning but we all have pride somewhere where even as not. He never said he wouldn't use his ability to sing any longer. He said he left the music industry and performing like he used to do because it was becoming sinful for him. There's absolutely nothing sinful about him making that choice. A person blessed with a gift to sing isn't required by God to go out and be a performer. That person just needs to figure out how best to glorify God in the use of the talents received.

    Pride is not gods most hated or disapproved sin, that would be the one and only UNFORGIVABLE sin which is blasphemy denying the name of Christ. Its the only sin that sends you to hell. Archeologist found some ancient scrolls and whats written on them completely disproves everything our modern bible has taught us. Its been altered and translated so far from the truth that 90% of the world believes Christianity to be a cult as they should!
    On another note any and all people who claim to be Christian should read this book. Its called original sin written by PHD. Dr. Ammon Hillman.
