Cedar Point: The Story of America’s Roller Coast

Cedar Point, an amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio is often celebrated for its collection of world class roller coasters and has a long history dating back over 150 years. From its early beginnings as a public bathing beach to the massive park we know today, this peninsular at the edge of Lake Erie has a story waiting to be told.
Originally opening in 1870 Cedar Point has expanded over the years, adding bath houses, concert halls and hotels as well as it’s collection of famous roller coasters.
Facing closure in the first half of the 20th century Cedar Point reinvented itself, installing new rides and embracing the era of steel roller coasters. A constant record breaker, the installation of Magnum XL-200 kick started a period of expansion thats resulted in stand out rides Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster and Steel Vengeance.
With the installation of Top Thrill 2 the park continues to innovate and look to the future. Journey back in time to see how Cedar Point began.
