I have watched a crap load of these videos in the last couple of days and one thing I have learned Music transcends all obstacles and units regardless of the genre. One thing I already knew but was glad to see yet again is that men will be boys, which if you ask me is a GREAT THING!!!! It takes a LOT of mental and emotional fortitude to be in any kind of active duty military, especially combat, and for men to be boys once in a while, well it will do wonders for their psyche once they are back state side. One last thing................from someone that did not serve, but had two cousins in the Army, a father in the Coast Guard and a Grandfather in the Coast Guard in WWII, I can say that the VERY LEAST we as civilians can do is simply say "Thank you for your service, your time and sacrifice were and are appreciated!!!!" I have made it a point in the past three years of working retail to tell those men and women that I can discern are former military(there is no "ex" in military unless you went AWOL or dishonorable) Thank You, and I do it EVERY TIME, regardless of the day, I do not just do so on Memorial Day or Veterans Day, I do it EVERY DAY, and from my perspective I think it means more on a day that no one recognizes than on those days that we do. I THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF Y'ALL, PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE, EVERY BRANCH, THE RESERVES, AND THE NATIONAL GUARD, you do what you do NOT because it is your duty, but because it is your calling. THANK YOU!!!!!
One of the original military lip-dub classics! Thanks for taking personal time to make this video and thank you for the service you provided to this nation.
When I was in, I had to put a few boot ensigns in their place. I had one told me that he had a degree so I needed to respect him. I said who cares I have two degrees and respect is earned not demanded. Those were the days. Great 24 years of service.
Roger that. I was in before cell phone cams (or well... cell phones for that matter). We did have the shoulder held VCR recorders that were like $1500 ...lol
The editing of this is *SO* great. Glad to see you guys having some fun while serving our country. Thank you for both your service and the wonderful vid! :)
Some 20+ years after my last deployment on an aircraft carrier, this video captures the rhythmic routine of a deployment like no other. How do you endure a deployment? One day at a time, move along!
Really good ! Even if I am only Canadian, I would thank Americans soldiers that everyday give their lives to make the world a better place. I would love that Canadians help more toward that goal but whit a prime minister like Trudeau, it seems it will not happen anytime soon. Thank you !
What do you mean "only Canadian"? If you want to thank Americans thats fine, but don't put yourself ergo me down with your panzy comments. Canada has never lost a battle in it's history, which includes combat in WW2, Korea, Gulf War 1, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan etc. Trudeau is treating the Military just fine and you need to STFU or join and serve. Signed Former Paratrooper, proud Canadian and Trudeau supporter.
You know what makes my day???? Watching music videos that the military peeps make during their down time!! :) now you guys just come back safe damn it!!!
16hrs ugh that cant be enjoyable. only looks fun until you experience the actual truth of life as an enlistee. guess the line "land of the free" excludes enlisted men.
minimum of a 12hr day seven days a week at sea for enlisted men. might get two hours of free time if you are lucky. pilots sit on there butt in a ready room when not flying. do less work get better pay and living quarters than the enlisted men
Selected as the Lubbock Composite Squadron's cadet Video of the Week (Civil Air Patrol). One of our cadets joined the Navy! Thanks for posting this video.
I remember when they first posted this video and it was awesome. Today I heard a Black Eyed Peas song and it reminded me of these videos. They are still awesome today!
Dudes, Like .... Come On !!!! Let's show up the Sun Kings ! They haven't made a Video in YEARS ! Whatzz Up ??? MAKE A NEW VIDEO !!!! Yeah, Baby !! Where's the Talent ??????????
LMAO! These guys are great! especially the part at 3:51 with the guy running back and forth. And I see 76 on the island. WOW! I was commissioning crew on 71. It's wild to think 5 more are sailing. Good Job!
I love to see our military having fun while they are protecting our country! Whatever it takes to keep your sanity out there boys and girls. Just keep making us smile!
I was in the Navy way back from 75-81. While we were underway, we dumped dozens of large trashbags over the side every day. I want someone to video this practice and post it on RUclips. I predict it will become viral and be one of the most watched videos on this site.
I wish we'd have done this on my ship... Clinton decommed it when it was young. I had the option to leave with full benefits or go to another ship for a short while that I didn't love like my own ship. Now I have two degrees and still wish that my old ship wasn't 'Mothballed.' Poor USS Cape Cod AD-43... miss you, girl.
1:51 trying to call the ball at night time is a bitch. The editing on this video is superb. I was on the Nimitz for five years. Aviation Medicine Tech, some of the best years of my life were up on deck. I miss it so much, and this video is awesome. Great job guys. Brazo Zulu Eagles.
OK, OK, so I've been retired from the USAF for 33 years - that I'm 71 years old.....BUT: YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Best military produced video that I've seen on the Web. Go Air Force, ah, ah, I mean, GO NAVY!! N-6395T
Whenever I'm in the mood for music but I don't know what to listen to, I go to this video. I could go to the official AAR video, but this one has more spirit and is better. Well done. Very well done. Thanks for sharing this.

For the Sailors in the video, this time seemed unending, but now, as they have moved on and they see the value, the part of the American family that they played, it seems just like a blip on the radar. grateful that this video exist to document their journey and their sacrifice to the country.

I would've loved to make something like this when I was stationed in the Navy. A killer tune with some everyday footage of what we were about.
Roger that. I was in before cell phone cams (or well... cell phones for that matter). We did have the shoulder held VCR recorders that were like $1500 ...lol
somehow this song fits the Navy well
this guy gets it!

My uncle is in this video. I always loved seeing him and his buddies sing along to this song
First time watching. Retired Navy Nov 1992. Got music from cassette decks or sitting around playing acoustic guitar. Fun time video here.
