If you need a reason not to hate Mondays, this wonderful man is all you need. God bless Chef Jean Pierre and Jack.
I love this man!!!
So true!
🙏🙏🙏❤️
@@ChefJeanPierre Hey Chef, would it work with canned salmon instead of tuna?
I feel like he is my friend.
I’ve been making these recipes at the fire house..everyone thinks I can cook…never cooked before finding this channel a couple months ago lol….Thanks for sharing all that knowledge you have…just think it will be past down for many generations from the millions you are helping to learn everyday!
I'm a chef in the Army who is also a trained culinarian. This is the kind of food we cook and I'm glad to see another chef embracing the style. When I saw the ingredients, I was like "oh this is like a ratatouille!" It looks wonderful Chef -- you're mama took good care of you. You should make some chili-mac someday; it's one of our favorite dishes in the Army!
Thank you for your service! 👍👍👍🙏❤️
@@ChefJeanPierre Thanks for your support Chef!
Thank you so very much for your service to us and our country.
Good on you solder be safe and take care were you are .yes I'm a chef to but yea no the best food is home food do you agree
@@victoriabell4436 thanks so much for your support!
This man and channel is the greatest thing to happen to not only just cooking, but life in general.
🙏🙏🙏❤️
No need to apologies at chef who can draw on unlimited ressources! The real art is to create something delicious out of nothing. You do a really, really great job chef JPB!
As a single mum, I would make tuna casserole weekly to last us 2 days. Cheap, healthy, quick meal! If I didn't have rice I'd use Orzo pasta! Any left over veg! It's lovely in a baguette with melted cheese! Nom nom!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe from your mother; she raised you and was obviously a fantastic woman. Rest in peace.
🙏❤️
God bless your mom for feeding the kids even with little resources.
And god bless you for showing us these recipes because many people suffer from the current economy.
🙏❤️
I have not made tuna casserole in 20 years because my wife didnt like my recipe. It wasnt as good as her dad's. This one she will love. Thank you
Get a new wife whose father is a better cook.
"Goog"... what does this word mean?
@@BigPoppieSeedPerhaps “goog” means “good”?
@@watthaile2053I was thinking the same
In these trying, stressful days, one man brings a relaxed smile to my face. I am grateful for the teachings, the humor, and, the love of Chef Pierre.
It's always moving to have childhood memories come back. We literally relive these blessed moments and it's a beautiful tribute to reproduce what she passed on to you. May God watch over her soul.
By Far, this is my Favorite Channel…Chef “Cooks for the People”😜
“We’re cooking for home people” 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you. I’m going to make this very soon. Sounds like your mother and my mother had a lot in common!
Chef, you are a Rock Star... I found your channel 2 months ago and have been catching up watching your videos daily. You gave me back the pleasure of cooking and experimenting in the kitchen again....I am trying your recipes one by one for my children. Thank you so much, not only for sharing your wonderful recipes and cooking techniques with us, but also, above all, for sharing your experience, knowledge and humor and your warm, shining and inspiring personality with us. Thanks also to Jack for bringing it all together in a friendly and professional easy to watch format. Please continue amazing us, both of you... we can't get enough of your videos...❤😄👍
🙏❤️
This definitely not the tuna casserole of my childhood and for that I am very thankful.
Friends, remeber that there isn't just 1 tuna casserole recipe for the whole world. The american tuna casserole that you might have grown up with as a child will be vastly different from the one Chef group up with from a child.
Chef, thank you for sharing this recipe. I'll have to give it a try soon. It look delicious. 😋
Yes! Where are the crushed potato chips?
Yummy, I will try this in honor of your Mother. Thank you Mom and Chef.
🙏❤️
Hi Chef!!😊
This looks sooooooo good. I'm going to try it. I love anything with rice! Thank you for sharing your Moms memory with us. You should show us a picture of her someday. She surely must have been a very special person. May she rest in peace.
For me, my grandparents were the cooks in the family. My grandfather used to make breaded and fried cardoons, meatballs, his own sausage, sauce. My grandmother was famous for her chicken soup, and home made cannolis filled with pastry cream. So many of their recipes I try to recreate, but no measurements or written recipes. If I could just bring them back for a week, it would be spent cooking, and writing down the recipes. God bless you Chef and have a great day! 🙏🙏❤
God bless your Mom and thank her for giving you and us such delicious recipes!
Bless your mom!
Never seen a tuna casserole like this! 😋
I respect you remembering your roots and honoring your momma. Honestly I feel like the recipes that mean the most are the ones that inspire you to remember the childhood memories of what those who came before you made.
God bless Chef John Pierre,
and God bless his mom.
...and Dad. So glad those two met to create this wonderful man.
Dear Chef, delicious recipe. We reach 1,99 millions of enthousiasts for the channel! I think we should seriously think about the gathering and make a 2.000.000 festivity out of it.With a special dinner you would prepare for the selected group of people, one in your area, and one in Provence for all your european friends. What an amazing journey! Merci pour tout
🙏❤️
Better yet, run it like a Japanese barbecue so we can all cook together 😊 plus chef doesn’t need to cook for loads of people and can enjoy the gathering
Is anyone else super excited for chef JP at 1.99 million subscribers!!!! Moar budder for everyone!!!
Very different from the one I grew up on. This looks interesting too.
I'd have to agree, 6 kids 2 adults in the 70s so dirt cheap was the way in our house , egg noodles, carrots , peas and mushroom soup then baked and if we were really really lucky we got bread crumbs on top baked with it 😊
My favorite chef.
This cheers me up. Just lost my mom and I enjoyed listening to you honoring your mom with this recipe. My mom didn't cook fancy but it was always delicious.
Thank you for bringing high brow chefs a step or two down.👏👏
Bless Jean-Pierres Mum RIP❤
Jean-Pierre this is comfort food we can all thank your Mum for this 🙏 R.I.P

Can I just say, I've been struggling with crippling depression for the past few months but everytime I watch a Jean-Pierre video it boosts me up so much and inspires me to cook, thank you from the bottom of my heart
🙏❤️
Whenever I hear "tuna casserole," I think of Bill Burr's _"There's No Reason to Hit a Woman"_ routine.
Thanks, Chef JP! I'm going to try this on the weekend. 👍
"tuna casserole! and start swinging......"lol
@@shanghaiffgg That's the one! 😂😂
Bless your mother, for raising a very good person .

What an amazing human being, concerned about cost for families... My boys are grown now, but for a long time I was a single mother, and I didn't know what I could make that was healthy when they were young. I wish I had JP to help me navigate good meals at the lowest cost. I really hope others that were in my situation are benefiting now. JP you are incredible.
All the pleasure is mine! 🙏❤️
Thank you so much, Chef, for a heartwarming, family oriented, dish. It is so wonderful that you share your mother's recipes with us! I love them.
Thank you for sharing your memories of the wonderful Aix-en-Provence, and your culinary tribute to your Mother. You may not have grown up wealthy, but you obviously inherited everything that matters in life, from your roots.
Thank you chef Jean Pierre for all you do! I’m a mom of 3, and I generally like cooking but it often gets redundant and overwhelming. But you have helped me and my husband fall in love with cooking all over again. We love all your recipes. Thank you!
Thank you Jean Pierre. Love the videos.
Les recettes de maman sont toujours les meilleures recettes.
Chef JP... vous êtes le meilleur chef sur RUclips... merci beaucoup.
My SOUUUULLLLL Jean-Pierre, you break it and oh my soul recipes I was taught by my grandmother and replicated since I've been able to have a pan and a heat source. You break it having so much fun. God bless you, crazy wonderful man.

Remind me of when my kids were in little school and they would just come fast to the table when called for dinner, the smell of this dish worked so well! Thank you chef, I will pass it on to my grandkids now!
Albacore is great. Will try this wonderful recipe soon. Have zucchini and squash coming out our ears still.
I'm making this Thursday. Bless you for sharing your lovely mom's recipe, I know she's so proud of you Chef.
Certainly not the tuna casserole I grew up with! Looks amazing
did you grow up with that travesty topped with two slices of cheese food which curled as they were cooked? That's what I grew up with and that's why the words tuna casserole send a chill down my spine.
No it was Tuna pasta and cheese.
Such a joy to watch and to see your Mother's fantastic recipe! Looks delicious. Thank you Chef Jean Pierre. Sharing.
One important thing I have learnt from you is getting A LOT of spatulas! It's a game changer and so pleasant to use. Merci beaucoup!

Looks delicious! A lovely tribute to your mother ❤
How much do I love Chef JP? Well, my entire family despises tuna, but I am still here! Your Mother must have been a lovely person, because here you are!! Love you, Chef JP!
May your Mom rest in peace. Thank you for sharing with us Chef. God Bless you, Jack and your families. ❤
My mom's creamed tuna over butter, toasted bread with tuna. It was the bomb!
At last!!! I have requested this dish three or four times, and voila! Thanks Chef - we love you.
Doesn't have to be fancy to be good! Fantastic Chef Jean-Pierre!
We had eight kids in our family, and my Mom made some great dinners, even though she also worked almost full time. But when the nest emptied, she still would make huge dishes. Bless her heart.
Look delicious 🤤
I made this today. Very delicious. 😊
In honor of your mom ❤ will make this! We all have a tuna casserole recipe.
I’m cooking for everyday people Well said Chef JP… people that are quite often overlooked..a joy to watch, all the very best from the highlands of Scotland
In Tanzania 🇹🇿 we like it when the rice sticks in the pot it becomes crunchy 😋 we call it 'ukoko' 🤌🏾
❤
Thank you and thank you to your mom for raising a good kid turned good gentleman and amazing chef.
Thank you Jean Pierre and Jack for your channel! I've been taking up more and more of the cooking duties at home while my wife feeds and puts our baby to bed. Can you imagine a 17 year old Jean-Pierre on the Côte d'Azur? It must have been a sight to be seen!
Yes, in honor and memory of your mom! May she rest in peace…
I do love a tuna noodle casserole. Never had it with rice before or with tomatoes either, for that matter. I think I will try this one just so that I can taste the difference! If Chef JP makes it, it has to be good! Gratitude to your mother for you and her recipe!
Cheap but flavorful and filling dishes are very valuable in our time, especially to your young viewers. Thanks for this one Chef! I will definitely make it.
I love this take on tuna casserole💓
Winner, winner tuna dinner. Never met an olive I didn’t love 👍
Awww..I can totally relate…my mom was a chef…I have maybe 20 of her bajillion recipes. I have spent many an hour recreating memories…❣️
Looks good😊
You're very pleasant to watch. Have a lovely day.
Hi Chef JP . God bless your Mum's & all the Mums' souls . Excellent tasty one pot dish , ready to eat within one hour . I do the same without the rice which I have on the side & sometimes with ' couscous ' insted or mashed olive oil potatoe dusted with tangy ' summac ' ! So fragrant & nourishing yummy dish👍 ❤
Chef, speaking of fish dishes, I'd love to see you make a ceviche. One with any fish you like.
It's a dish I really enjoy in restaurants, but I don't see many people teaching how to make one on youtube.
Your mom must've been a wonderful cook. Thank you for sharing her recipe!
Chef, another fine recipe thank you, Chef Jean-Pierre
You always come up with amazing RECIPES.....MY friend good job and thanks to your beautiful mother for this delicious RECIPE ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😅😅
From my bachelor days up until now grandpa days I’ve made tuna casserole countless times and probably never the same way twice with my mad scientist kitchen skills but I don’t think I’ve ever used any of Chefs ingredients, other that tuna. My wife will love it if I make it lol.
Yes your mother is definitely honored in culinary heaven this is a down home grassroots recipe All can make cheap and feed your family and friends thank you for sharing it I will be making it soon 😜👍😎
I watched an episode of Sunshine Cuisine and you haven’t changed a bit! Still the same energy and positive vibes! 😊
Looks fantastic, will cook this for sure, God Bless you Jean-Pierre
Looks delicious I’m going to make this recipe thank you to share ❤
Lol I made quick easy tuna casserole tonight. Mine consist of egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, fill the cr. Of mush can with milk and mix with soup, two cans of tuna, salt pepper and garlic. Mix sauce with noodles top with cheese and put in oven to melt cheese. This is something my whole family loves and I cook when I don't want to cook.
I was looking for this list of ingredients-this is so close to tuna casserole to me, except my mom added peas and didn't use garlic or cheese. Sometimes she put crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs on top before baking if we had them.
@@jimcarbone4914 i put a little bit of peas and carrots in mine too. I've never did the topping of crackers on it. My kids and husband love it. I did when I was younger but I get tired of it pretty quick now. I think it's cause they want it so much lol.
I grew up eating tuna casserole because my late mom often made it as an easy weeknight meal. I will give your version a try because the ingredients are yummy.
Served on egg noodles, and no rice, is the way my mom made it. And, yes, back then (too long ago) the tuna was solid big chunks out of the can.
Good honest food. Best chef in the universe
