If the airway seems rigid, or it is cold outside, place it between your palms and rub your hands together (as if you were trying to warm your hands). This will make the airway more pliable, then apply the lube and proceed.

Glad you did this video. I knew I needed to stage the tourniquet, but I didn't realize the rest of the bearfak was shipped improperly staged. For instance, the surgical tape is vacuum pouched with the "stack", & the sharpie & decompression needle were vacuum pouched with the triangle bandage & such. Had to restage the whole Bearfak. I'm glad I didn't find out the hard way that my Bearfak was not shipped properly staged, in a life or death situation.

Got your reply to my email... I didn't realize that the Ifak I had picked out was the CrashFak that came with my "SMASH KIT". I was unaware that it was packaged specially for things like Baha Racing, so the contents were better sealed against the elements. Makes sense to me. So thanks again Bear! Glad you cleared that up for me.
Your commentary makes the videos over the top! Can you fold those hyphin chest packs or do they have to remain flat? Thank you.
The seals inside the chest seal package are already folded in half, you can fold them further if needed.

Bear love the kit and the layout, question though are you not supplying a decomp needle?
14g decompression needle can be added to the kit at the website.

What's the best recommendation for a kit to throw in your range bag?
Do they not come with a decompression needle anymore?
Easy way to remember what the top of the tourniquet is: if it looks like a "t" when you hold it (with the way the windlass clips form the cross) then its correct side up 😁👍
Where do we learn to use all this?
I’d absolutely LOVE a bearfak, but being 15 $200 Is a lot lol. Does anyone know of any other ifaks with similar quality?
They don’t exist
I bought North American rescue components off of eBay ( make sure it’s new) everything from the bearfak that I knew how to use and found a decent quality ifak pouch. Not the same quality but it totaled out to about $100
I agree, there is no better quality. You can't even go out and buy a sturdy, sewn pouch to organize the included items. I've been to medical supply companies who don't have or won't sale you some of the items in the BEARFAK. You will spend more trying to put you a kit together. Sale some of them Pokie Mon cards.

Bear : Antifa shot a Proud Boy a couple of days ago in Olympia . Nailed him in the ankle with a 9mm , causing only minor bleeding but one of his buddies rushed over to him and whipped out a tourniquet and started putting it on him , mid thigh. By luck , another dude stopped him but only after forcefully telling him several times to stop, and just administer direct pressure at the wound . People need to get their heads straight about When and ONLY When to use a tourniquet . Everywhere I go , all I hear is Tourniquet , tourniquet , gotta have a tourniquet , gotta stick one here , there and everywhere , which is great but people need to learn that this is NOT THE FIRST CHOICE to be used unless the person is bleeding profusely and it cannot be stopped by any other means .
Your information is old, however we do use TQs for life-threatening bleeding. A GSW in situ is a great example of when to apply a TQ! There would have been no damage done if the TQ had been applied for the wound you described, and a medical professional could have easily removed the TQ once the patient was elevated to a higher level of care. You need updated training Bro, lots of lessons learned and implemented from CoTCCC over the last 20 years.
@@BearIndependent There's going to come a time when there's a very high possibility that there will be no medical professional to take a patient to for further treatment and resorting to gung ho nonsense of putting a tourniquet on someone for something that can and should be treated with direct pressure , is just outright irresponsible . As I said , this was Minor bleeding

@@BearIndependent In case your not yet awake , people in the Australian government have now publicly stated that unless a person gets the jab that they will be CUT OFF FROM HEALTH CARE and FREEDOM . We are also now seeing doctors and hospitals in THIS country that are publicly saying that they will no longer treat a person that hasnt been jabbed. So , if this continues on its intended trajectory or should we ever have an EMP , we are faced with the very credible possibility that many people will be facing a situation of where there is no "professional " health care to pick up the pieces of whatever the first person at the scene administered , which means that people better start learning the best , most responsible course of action and stop with the rambo "Ive got a Tourniquet , I must use it for anything or everything "
Did the person who taught you , teach you to use a tourniquet as the first choice of action for any and all wounds without even doing a simple assessment of whether the bleeding can be stopped with a simple compress . If thats your thinking then there's apparently no need for at least half of what your selling to people in the IFAK . No need for quick clot , no need for an Israeli type bandage , no need for gauze , as we should just use a tourniquet for every wound and you can now reduce the price of your IFAK by 50 % as its apparently filled with stuff that should be just overlooked .
It's interesting... you've replied to not one but two of my "constructive criticism?" posts but accepted my payment of over 700 dollars of these kits. aand raffles.. so my money is ok to accept but criticism is not??? If a supporter cannot express opinions that seems to be a cultist more than a disciple....
