- Long time no see! This time, I thought I would make a video on what I've been working on the past few months, which is farming! My neighbor, who has been a farmer for decades, lets another one of our farming neighbors rent space here so I asked if I could as well, as he said yes!

My goal is to make bento with the vegetables from the garden!

Also good to see update on your channel Jun xD
I can never run away from the 四字熟語
very cute the hairy little farmer who helped in the garden 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ωραία ιδέα 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
considering how bountiful you have made your garden, you should ask your neighbors if they want to have a farmer's market for the people in Fukuoka to help them find local grown products at competitive prices...
I heard from a friend who's Japanese. He moved to a small town in Japan because a house there is cheaper than the city and his work doesn't demand him 9-5 or work in the office so he's free to be wherever. He told me he though the elder in the town (which is the majority of the population) would dislike him because he's new to town. But they really welcome him and offer him veggies and fruits from their garden. They told him they like seeing young people moving to their town instead of moving out. It brings more purpose to them being proactive and looking forward for tomorrow. They told him they are too old to have any other goal than watch the next generation happy and healthy. That warm my heart. We don't really see that anymore.
That's beautiful to hear!
A lovely story :) ❤
❤❤❤
I'm moving to hokkaido in a couple years back to the rural country i cherished in my youth. my land, my home, my community.
STOP those last few sentences are too sweet for my heart to handle 😭
the cat is secretly a garden deity, blessing the crops :3
sssssh ! she's incogmeowto ! 4:02
old egypt god bastet hahaha.
holo 🦊
It's dragon Shu
😂😂❤
The cat's job is so very important. She keeps birds and other pest away from the gardens. She must work very hard to see them doing so well. 😊
True 😊❤
I love how welcoming and kind your neighbors are! This is a real community. Especially the older generation passing on skills to the younger. So nice to see.
Young people in japan seem to move to the city a lot so they're probably happy to see some young people returning to the neighborhood.
That bug fleeing while you pulled up the weeds knows it’s going to be Rachel’s gecko food if it stays long!
💯😂
😂 true
😂❤
I like to live vicariously through Jun and Rachel. I don't have it in me to be this productive and hardworking, but watching these videos makes me feel so happy and calm.
exactly
Atleast its inspirational. Im in the same boat because of ADHD. Can learn it, but cant be arsed to put it in practice hehe
idk how but i can tell rachel edited some parts of this video bc her sense of humor is so recognizable... it's sweet in how many ways she appears in jun's videos ❤❤❤
the mantis going “where tf am i” when relocated really got to me 😂
Your neighborhood seems so great. Not only nature with its large and small wild animals, agriculture and the never-satisfied cat, but also your neighbors. It's so nice to see so much kindness and camaraderie between you.
The long long man reference killed me, I haven't heard that in years lol !!
確かに😂
Honestly Jun, with his beard, kinda look like long long man XD
Same!! I thought it was some 'sexy' music until i heard the faint long long man ahhahx
A Jun video is as rare as an eclipse.
I can only imagine your neighbor was thrilled you wanted to learn farming, given that there is a real issue with fewer young folks in Japan taking up the craft.
I love how communal and cooperative your neighbors are. Seeing the harmonious coexistence of cats, insects, and humans is healing to the soul.
Your neighbor is very generous. Home gardeners are always so sharing with their crops.
You always end up with more than you can eat at any one time.
im in university for horticulture and spent about half a year working on organic farms, and your methods are fantastic!! you really did your research well. organic fertilizers are so important, because even though plants can't tell the difference between organic and synthetic, the soil microbiome can, and the soil health is almost more important to take care of than the plants themselves.
2:14 cracked me up "looooong loooooooooooong maaaaaaaaaAAaaan!"
Also, I've started my own veg patch last year and since then I have been looking up gardening and permaculture related videos on youtube. I was super happy when I saw today's video! Jun my brother, you are living!
That thumbnail… The farm where meow-meow grows…🐾🥺😭💖✨
This is how the Cat Distribution System sources their cats

Fresh organic meows !! Tasty ...
Oh those farm kitties are so precious
As a mantis keeper it made me happy how you safely relocated the old lady ❤❤❤
Farming content like this, is something I could watch as a semi-regular "vlogs" to be fair.
Even like 2-3 minutes videos of the basic tasks you do, to tend to the garden.
With your editing style it would be the tranquility dose of the day.
Best of luck with your crops
Props to your neighbor for letting you use a bit of their land!
Hearing the sound of the various leafy greens I was like "Woah! Now those are high quality." That slight squeak is just right. It's so lovely to see what a sense of community you have with your neighbours! Gardening is so much fun, especially when it's something you get to eat afterwards.
Jun's Kitchen AND Rachel and Jun new videos? Best online birthday present ever!!!
The soil in Japan is so good, my area in the US has been so over farmed the soil is all clay and rock now. But I remember my Dad planting tomatoes in our back yard on base in japan, and he planted extras just incase he lost a few. Well every single one of those tomato plants got over 10'+ and produced the biggest freaking tomatoes we'd ever seen. Our whole back fence just turned into tomatoes that year it was great!
All the interactions with the neighbors are so nice. You can see the older people are happy to have a younger couple in the neighborhood.
I'm a farmer in the USA and I love seeing your garden videos! I live pretty far up north in Connecticut and wish our growing season were as long as it is in southern Japan! We have to grow in high tunnels from around November to March if we want to have fresh vegetables over the winter.
Over here, we have a different kind of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris, common mugwort) that is considered invasive and we have to spend countless hours pulling them out every season or else it starts to take over entire fields. It's nice to see mugwort in a place it's "meant to be" :)
Relocating bugs doubles my gardening time and people think I'm nuts 😆
I’m not a fan of bugs and insects (they make my skin crawl), but I can respect and admire the dedication to preserve life, no matter the form. Keep doing what keeps you happy!
Sitting here wishing I had a beautiful salad made from what you are growing in your garden. So very nice of your neighbor to let you plant on his land.
So nice of you to include the finished product in the video. I really like seeing the different bugs and the cat.
As someone who lives on an island with very rocky and acidic soil and very short summer temperatures, seeing veggies growing right in the ground is so amazing! We always need to build raised beds, a greenhouse, or grow inside if we want good veggies. It's a lot of work but its worth it. Love your videos!
With each passing video I become more and more convinced that Jun is a nature spirit inhabiting a person's body
This is such a lovely video, as always! I'm so excited to see how those bento turn out!
11:59 this cat is 100% saying “hello”
Was looking for or going to say this comment! Truly says hello
I thought the exact same thing. So cute!!🥰🥰
Sakura-Chan is just livin’ the life
This and Jun & Rachel's channel bring me so much comfort, especially right now, thanks
農作業は疲れるんだけどなんかそれでしか得られない楽しさとかがあって好きです☺️
農業高校だったので懐かしさを感じました!久しぶりの投稿嬉しいです。菜園、頑張ってください!🐈✨️
Me and my husband have degree in agriculture, which we haven't practiced for more than 5 years. This makes me want to go back to farming.
Man that was a ton of prep work, but the results are amazing.
Here in the Netherlands bugs, birds and drought aren't much of a problem but then again the plants take forever to grow.
Garden cat asmr...
Rachel could build a cat run on wheels to move to new patches of grass...people do 4 hens.
Jun is enjoying his farming skills from grandfather....crops look amazing 🌼🌦🍓
In the summer of my third year at university, I had a practice session in a small 20m² (4m x 5m) field where I had to do everything by myself, from field layout, fertilizer management, planting, pest control, harvesting, and cleanup. Watching Jun's organic vegetable garden in this video, I remembered that while there was a lot of hard work pest and weed control and watering in the over 30°C heat, I also enjoyed the joy of harvesting with my friends!
A part of my soul gets healed watching your content, Jun-san. Always feels so inspiring, that maybe I should be doing more with my time, instead of what I usually do.
the automated subtitles put the cats meowing as (music) which is almost as cute as the cat itself
My mom has been an organic farmer since I was a kid here in Canada (40 years) and nothing is better than fresh veggies and fruit from your own garden. Unfortunately I'm not much of a gardener but I've grown a few things in pots on apartment patios and in my present sunroom.
the neighbour's radishes and turnips look so beautiful. I live in the states and my dad was always a gardener and beautiful produce always makes me so happy!! I hope your garden brings beautiful produce!! You deserve it after all that hard work!
I love everything about this video. The lovely neighbour, the healthy and delicious-looking vegetables, kitties and Juns calm voice.
I cannot express how MUCH this warmed my heart and made me smile in the morning. You did such a huge and great job. And the kitty! This is so wholesome. Thank you, Jun.
My boyfriend and I grew brussel sprouts last year and I was pretty amazed on how they grow on a giant stock!! They’re one of my faves too!!😊
Ya'll have the sweetest neighbors! And it's such an amazing place to end up living, with all these folks who like cats and gardening, and the good fresh food! Lovely video 😊
Nothing nicer than a peaceful farming jun Video , the neighbors are so nice and the veggies look marvelous
cozy wholesome neighbour interactions
Your neighbor seems like a really great guy. Always happy to see you guys thriving, working on your projects, and looking out for the cats everywhere you go. Very stoked to see a JunsKitchen post anytime!
When we needed him most, he came back!
Wishing you a big harvest! Of both vegetables for your family and bugs for your gecko foster 💚💚💚
Your neighbor is so kind! What a lovely guy!
your neighbors are super nice.
every vid is worth the wait.
its always a delight. makes you love the world we live in. thanks
Every video from Jun feels like a gift.
living vicariously through your little gardening adventures while sitting in my little city flat :D welcome back! loved the video!
You have such lovely neighbors, I love to see how you all help and give things to each other
Aww what a cute video. Veggies, insects, cats, and sweet neighbors
I’ve been watching these videos for years and I just love when a new one comes out
I could watch for hours, garden and cat content, just perfect! You guys have really nice neighbours!! and well done, Jun!!
This is how farming should be, kind to the people, soil, creatures and everything that interacts with nature. Sadly not everyone has the luxury/space/resources/time to do it this way. I appreciate the thought put into not wanting to deplete natural resources in the soil, rather cultivate and make it more nutrient rich, basically returning a better state than what you found it as.
I can only imagine all the delicious things you’re gonna make with your garden produce. Please keep us updated!
I just used to rewatch your videos throughout the years because it brought me peace. I’m glad ur back with more videos for me to watch over and over again😂
It's so wholesome that he tells the plants they did a great job growing 😊
It's a Vegetable Adventure! What a lovely gesture of your neighbor letting you use a plot for growing these delicious looking plants!
Jun, your calm, methodical approach to projects is awe-inspiring in all the scatterbrained, impulsive people like me.
Such a lovely garden! And such wonderful neighbours too! You can feel the strong sense of family and community in your neighbourhood! (Especially from the cats!)
Now I am even more exited for the spring season here in Europe, so that I can start gardening again!
Great work and good yield :)
Nice to see that you do all organic.
I'm sure the older folks are very happy to see you take an interest in farming!
Watching Jun's Kitchen and Rachel and Jun in tandem is like its cinamatic universe and you get excited when there are references to the other show
I don’t know if you’ll see this but the water from your fish tank is great for gardens and plants!!
Really happy to see such happy videos.
My parents also have a vegetable garden in our backyard equivalent (we're not Americans). Our yearly strawberry harvest is so big we have to freeze excess for winter. We also make a lot of tomato sause
So cool! The garden looks amazing and I loved all the conversations with your neighbors. What awesome fellowship and kindness. The showcase of cute bugs and kitties as always is a favorite!
we need a 24 hours loop of that fishtank .. soooo beautiful and calming
Your cole crop garden is inspiring! And your neighbor's daikons are a thing of beauty and a joy to behold. :) Cheers to a great harvest.
you just became that grandpa's son/grandson that finally became interested in gardening/farming
The way you treat the animals and your garden is so precious and cute. Good luck, by the way!
The neighbors are helping because they're happy someone young has come to work along side them!
収穫された野菜がとても新鮮ですね!そして可愛い!猫もかわいい!
将来小さな畑をお借りして家庭菜園しようと思っていたところなので、さらに意欲が湧きました。
お弁当作りも楽しみにしています♪
Thanks Jun!
I found this highly informative as well as just satisfying.
You have a way of interacting with nature that is unfamiliar but so wholesome :)
I love it when you guys talk to other Japanese people, it's a cool glimpse into the culture
I have a pretty small vegetable patch and it's such a joy to work on it! It's too tiny to grow enough for self-sufficiency but we have a lot of tomatoes and aubergines and courgette and different leafy greens... During summer it does feel quite abundant. You definitely know what you're doing and you're gonna have tons of produce!!
WOW! Looks so quick and efficient because the video skips the “in-between”; I think Jim worked REALLY hard!
Everything looks so yummy! Beautiful garden, beautiful cats and insects. 🤗🥰
BRAVO JUN!!!! Also, Jun looks so happy harvesting his veggies 🤗😄😊
I am always so jealous of people who live in places where plants actually grow. I live in the high desert Northern New Mexico, where winters are long, the air is bone dry, and the sun is a deadly laser. Getting anything to grow is a struggle.
Farm kitty is so cute!!!
I hope to garden in Japan, and have been trying to find gardening videos made in Japan to learn about how it's done in Japan. Yours jun is the first I have successfully found in English or 日本語
Thanks for the update video! Wow! You’ve been super busy and productive! 😊 Your lettuce looks so yummy! Can’t wait to see you cook dishes using your home grown produce 👍
i love seeing rin-chan and all the neighborhood kitties in yours and rachel’s videos from time to time!
this video cleansed my mind and spirit
Wow, that must be some amazing soil to grow your plants that large.... Now I'm in the mood for Lettuce wraps...
You should make a bento box and give it to your neighbours!❤
Great to watch from you again! I love the garden kitties! I bet they help out with keeping birds and rodents away from the crops too :) I always love you uploads, they make me feel so relaxed and at peace
The garden is so lush, they grew so fast;
I love watching your videos (also on the R&J channel). It is so peaceful and relaxing. The way the community treats its cats is wonderful and amazing, but seeing as you care even for an insect makes me feel gracious
This is the definition of perfect content, wow! A barista at a coffee shop in Georgia, USA recommended your channel. Thank you for sharing! 😊 I will continue to enjoy watching
I was so excited to see this notification! Your videos are such fun to watch and make a wonderful accompaniment to my Sunday morning coffee. The garden look great, and you’re inspiring me to start planning my garden (even though it’s only February)~ 🌱
your neighbors really love you. each additional vegetable is more love lol
Thank goodness, finally RUclips recommend your content again to me❤
these videos always give me so much peace, love them so much
Man. Gardening really requires a green thumb but it looks so satisfying when you do end up growing something! Love the cute cattos and the friendly neighbors!
