I was with my mother, father and my husband at home when they passed away. You are right, it is very hard but very holy.

Im Thankful to GOD that HE led me to find these teachings that HE presents through Skip! There are far to many false teachers and churches in the world that make up their own god and twist the Bible to fit in a way that makes them comfortable. Thank You Skip for not being afraid to teach GODS Word literally and truthfully.

Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us... I found your channel on RUclips and have been going through Genesis.. I would appreciate clarification on your comment 26:49 regarding the 1st time weeping is used in the bible (Abraham for Sarah when she died).. however i recall when Hagar thought she and Ishmael would die in the wilderness she lifted her voice and wept... did I misunderstood her act of weeping vs Abraham's for Sarah?

The way I've read it, Abraham had another wife through much of these years - it just wasn't mentioned until Chapter 25. Is that a translation issue in my Bible? (Christian Standard Bible). It says, "Abraham HAD TAKEN another wife, whose name was Keturah.."
Did he really not marry her until after Sarah's death?

Thank you for great Word. Kindly clarify a small question: Abraham had killed his son for three days, on the third day, he went up the mountain.
Similarly with Jesus death, died, on the third day... Died Friday... rose up on Sunday morning, please explain three days... Please, thank you.

      Hello,
This is pastor Nick Macedo and I have the privilege of serving on the pastoral staff here at Calvary Church. I would first like to personally thank you on behalf of Pastor Skip for your question. In reference to The Genesis 22 story, the greatest significance is the Messianic symbol within the story. To clarify, Abraham did not sacrifice his only son Isaac. Instead he was spared in order to magnify and exemplify the intensity of God sacrificing his only son. The correlation is not only this similarity but also that the mountain Abraham brings Isaac too is also the Hill Jesus was crucified on, Golgotha. In reference to the three days, Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac on the third day and ends up sacrificing the ram. Jesus was scarified and rose up on the third day referencing the ram’s sacrifice. Again, correlating the two stories to show the depth of God’s sacrifice for humanity. I hope this answers your question and is beneficial to your own spiritual growth!
      Best,
      Pastor Nick Macedo

Good point about Sarah, not Mary, held up in the Bible as an example to follow.

In Africa we still hire professional mourners. We also take back our dead to their ancestral home.
