Thanks for sharing! I am a LIfestyle Director for a large community in East Texas. This is so helpful and I plan to use your tutorial for planning virtual events for my residents. This will be fun! I cannot say thank you enough!
Thank you so much for sharing. You have done a phenomenal job explaining your process. Your escape room has been making its rounds on Facebook and making a lot of people very happy. You've inspired quite a few people into trying to create their own rooms while they have some free time. Kudos to you!!
Just did your Hogart's Escape Room. Fun! I think I'll make a couple of these. Reminds me of my younger days when I used to program text-based adventure games on early computers. Tons of fun! They worked almost identically, but had all text. The player had to REALLY use their imagination. Later they added graphics with the text-based questions and descriptions and even inventories of items you found along the way as computers grew more advanced and popular. AWESOME!
Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed trying your escape room for inspiration, and was planning to tackle my own with no Google Forms experience, this tutorial is excellent and makes the process very clear. - Youth librarian from Australia :)
This was a really great tutorial! I'm working on some of these for review activities for online classes this fall and your info is so helpful. Now I'm off to find your HP escape room so I can get ideas and inspiration! Thank you so much! :)
QUESTION: When adding many sections for questions, do you have to add additional right/wrong sections or can you just link each additional question to the 1st right/wrong sections created? Thank you so much...getting ready to give this a try and your tutorial was very helpful.
This is super useful and got me started on my first digital escape room for the museum I work at! However, I'm having a few issues. Does anyone know how to do the Google Form with multiple questions (where you have to get all of the questions right in order to move on)? Like I want them to answer 2 questions before going to Section 2 of "You're Right" or "Oops, try again."
Thank you! I have a question-- when you add multiple questions to the form in new sections and you direct the responses to either the correct or incorrect page, how do you formate to move forward to the next section/question if answered correctly?
This video walks you through how to create one. If you want to see what it looks like for the user, you can experience it yourself by clicking the link in our description.
Thank you so much for sharing, and for the very clear instructions. I have been inspired to create an escape room game for my middle school students to use as a collaborative social activity during "Corona quarantine".

I am assuming that the students will have another resource first - perhaps they needed to have watched a video. Otherwise they are just clicking on a random door.
Fantastic tutorial! Simple explanations made my first foray into virtual escape rooms so much easier! Thank you for sharing!

I just want to know who the man in the background is. I would not be able to sleep having a cut out standing over me.

@@peterstwppubliclib Thank you so so much
You are amazing! Thank you for sharing.
You did an awesome job of explaining this process. What are your responsibilities involving copyright? Are the google images copyright free?
Anything on the explore search bar is copyright free, unlike the normal search engine.
That intro was so scary and then I saw the man in the background...

Does anyone know how to prevent participants from moving on to the next section if they get a free response answer incorrect?
Great video! How do I access the Hogwarts Escape Room? Is there a link?
The link to the escape room is included in this story at ptlibrary.org/hogwarts-digital-escape-room/

Can you change the pictures for different right and wrong answlers
You can "go to a section" for each option. Yes, they can be different.
