S&B release was around the time Ubisoft thought they are still the hotshot in the market(with the NFT and stuffs, they really think they are leading the industry or something), Heartland cancellation is around the time they realized they f'ed up and have to answer to the shareholders.

Personally I think the reason we haven’t had a reveal of the dlc yet is that it’s still not ready. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s gonna be delayed. Or worse cancelled Hope not 🤞🏻
When I look at this I see pretty much the same doubt. Well basicly 3 possible reasons for not revealing news about new DLC that are all related to this. 1. DLC isn't even near ready yet and they are pretty sure that they can't make it in time if at all 2. After these recent changes they don*t actually know how the new DLC will be part of the game and to who they should really be marketing this (Like RG said in the video, "marketing is a powerfull tool). Is it going to be new area to NYC map or separate location like Pentagon. And is it even "Brooklyn" despite all information points to that and we know it was the original plan. Can't reveal if you don't even know what to call it yet. 3. They are just waiting a better time to reveal the news to get a better impact. If you have a big good/interesting news it's not the best situation to reveal that in the middle of turbulence/shit storm. You might think that good news would "clear" the bad news but it won't. It is always better to solve issues first and clean the table (at least the most of it) and after that put the good news on that. Like said marketing is a powerfull tool. Like a good sword, so you shouldn't wore it on chopping wood cause then it isn't so great anymore.

Been with this game for years and I don’t have a lot of confidence this development team will deliver anything that makes me want to stick around. More than got my monies worth with TD2, I’m not mad or anything. I’ve just been playing other things. Even with seasons 2.0 and story DLC I can’t see them making this game into anything I’m going to want to play for the 4 years it will take TD3 to come out. If in fact this game ever gets released. I do have my doubts.
The crashing on character selection is a strange one. For me, it crashes at 9% loading and it does it four times. My game always loads on the fifth try. Four crashes every time.
Same here. Ubisoft behave as if it is an unknown issue when opening a case. Heaps of try this KB/FAQ. Send us a video (of no use to them at all). Then silence ..... What's wrong with admitting it is known and working on it????
I agree. Marketing Js a big impact on games as you said. Nothing beats the first time of watching a reveal trailer or teaser for a game or movie franchise that you love.
@user-vr3fk8bb5b no, this season is low effort. Over 7k hrs in div2 here and I'm down to just doing the weekly turn ins fir my 4 guys and a descent runs. Not even golden bullet is enough to make me log in.
This season is really boring for me, I play it enough to do the man hunts and get the backpack trophies. Right now I am finding First Descendant more interesting to play. Just my 2 cents.
I love the game, but to be honest the marketing strategy of division is pretty bad. Why they don't advertise the brooklyn expansion? Sometimes i believe the developers don't believe in their product anymore. I hope i'm wrong with that statement!
It's still minimum 6 months out- and there's definitely cases of advertising something too early, and then losing the momentum that could've otherwise been captured in a shorter marketing cycle (Heartland being announced *way* too early, for instance). I think them beginning to tease/reveal it in Q3/Q4 of this year makes the most sense
I want to buy a new DLC for Division, and if the Brooklyn one is meaty enough, I VERY likely will. I've always considered Division to be a better paid product value than Destiny, for example, but...I don't know, UbiSoft Forward seemed like the perfect place to do it, and I don't know if it's on Ubi for not having faith in Massive or Massive not having anything to show for whatever reason. Especially with Bungie having mass layoffs yesterday and Destiny being seriously on the ropes after Final Shape, this is the prime time for Division to step back into the spotlight and show people that they're "really really back," and not just string players along thinking they're "back" when they're not actually. I'm rooting for this game, but...I'm not really seeing a ton that's concrete yet. Waiting a few ticks before getting excited or interested.

Personally, what bores me about The Division are the skills. I wish they would function more like abilities in warframe, the first descendant, Destiny, or Outriders. It would make build diversity more fun.
I think you are spot on regarding marketing. Love makes the world go around but money greases the axels. Money and marketing are intertwined, from the gaming industry to the cosmetic industry and everything in between. And marketing is another form of communication which is critical to product viability. Agree the Division 2 is in a bit of a rough spot right now, yet I still play it almost on a daily basis. Yes, it is a bit stale doing the same old content over and over again, but at the end of the day I like the game play offer through D2. Personally, I am looking forward to the DLC drop but even more stoked about Division 3.
My guesstimation for a reveal of Brooklyn will be early-to-mid November; just before the holidays when people are starting to think about vacations and Christmas shopping and lowkey getting hyped for the New Year, itself. ...Wonder, maybe Brooklyn will drop early-ish March like many new things The Division (Div 1, Div 2, WONY) have released in the past...?

I like the story for Div 2 and I’m sticking around for it, but I’ll be on break until something new shows up. But man these comments are depressing, I haven’t experienced many bugs personally during my time playing but it’s been weeks since I played.
The two Problems iam having are 1) calling for back is not working 2) The screen going completely black were are I can't see anything and I end up dieing because of it .this also happened when I match make with other players
1) it's on the Known Issues Board so a fix is coming 2) That's mean you have been blinded lol. It's an accessibility feature (games like Call of Duty have it too). Instead of having a white flash screen blind you in real life you get a black screen (it's easier on the eyes) [ps: if the enemies are pulsed you will notice that you are still able to see them]

I think the biggest problem for new players with the division 2 is the gear and stat systems, there are so many new players who have no clue what does what and have rainbow builds, when you help them out sometimes they get what you mean for making lets say dps builds but for tank builds you need to teach them again. Division 3 needs to double down on a advanced interactive tutorial that is non intrusive, doesn’t lock the player into the screen tutorial as if the player is playing the game already they are already interested in the game so willingness to learn might be high, and explain mechanics in practical ways such as scenarios or maybe asking the player what kind of build they want by selecting preset paths so as they collect loot the game will tell them hey you need that gear piece for a dps build! Let me show you why now. Confusion is killing alot of new players and as a returning player i see it all too often, something needs to change
My go to build for this event: Belstone chest with double crit and obliterate, Liquid Enginneer backpack with all red attributes (double crit and weapon dmg), the rest of striker pieces with crit, St Elmo’s and Rock N Roll. Armor on kill from the two Belstone pieces and Gunner, plus Perfect Blood Sucker is nice. My only armor attribute is the chest piece because I can’t seem to get one with double crit and obliterate to drop 😡. I may try a belstone with Intimidate after looking at your build, very curious now.
I can only guess that they will be cautious, releasing later before sooner. Less time for it to be picked apart and build expectations that might not pan out. Or they'll just drop it on a Sunday night without telling anyone....
Two annoying things i am dealing with, 1 is not all that common and other is a bug i think! 1) Game crashes in a very interesting way. Namely, picture freezes and i cant even close it via alt-f4. Interesting bit is that, my PC doesnt even recognize that the game crashed. It says that ''this program is running normally'' and i have to force quit it from task manager! 2) Fragile armor directive keeps bugging out on me! It says that medkit should remove the debuff but, quite often it just doesnt do it and only things that gets rid of it is, either i die or relog!!!
I'll have to look into #1, haven't heard of that myself. For #2, Fragile Armor is unfortunately bugged, been that way for a few years and there hasn't been word of a fix.
@@RogueGold That crash as i mentioned is not happening too often but, sometimes it does. Also, after i force quit and try to restart the game, it tends to crash again in a loading screen when its around 7-9% and thats not even the first loading screen that leads you to the character selection screen. Its the other one that leads you in the game! On top of that it screws up resolution selection and sets the game in windowed mode allthough i play in full screen mode!
Crashes??? Thats an understatement, I lost all my exotics from the last crazy update they had and I never got them back. UGH!!! The DEVS are making it easier to leave this game which I've been playing since it's release. What a shame...
Black Diamond was going to be the title of Year 5 Season 4, before things got reshuffled and they changed their plans to go straight into Year 6 Season 1 after Y5S3. We'll have to wait and see if Year 6 Season 3 (when the DLC is now set to release) will now be called Black Diamond, or if their plans there changed altogether
i don't think div3 is even gonna drop. They had to announce it before cancelling Heartland, so we had something to look forward to lol but i think they'll cancel div3 in a few years.
on tuesday i was getting automatic crashes when trying to login. i updated the ubi install then verified files and it worked fine. I would like to see them incorporating the seasonal character idea into hardcore mode with exclusive items and content. It wont affect the people who complained about seasonal characters because they don't play hardcore mode anyway.
When I tried logging in on Tuesday, I kept getting an error notification for Mike 3? stated that "ubisoft was unavailable". I took a screenshot after several intermittent attempts over a couple of hours. I was able to go back in today, but even Golden Bullet isn't enough motivation right now.
Just spitballing here. What if they used this time before D3 to start experimenting. One thing I’d like to see is how the game would be if attributes were scaled down by half. Instead of a max of 15% of whatever stat it’s 7.5%. Or what if gear was gray: 1-2% of whatever attribute, green: 2-4% (not gear sets), blue: 4-6%, purple: 6-8%, gold: 8-10%, named gold: 6-8% but with a talent, exotics 10-12% with talent. You’re forced to choose between maxing attribute power with having a useful talent. Also I’m not sure if the named gold should be removed for the gear sets or how the having the same three pieces of a certain brand, like Sokolov, would work. New enemy types as world tiers progress. Like what if there was a guy for the true sons who, let’s say at world tier 5, instead of shooting you, instead runs to the soldiers giving them special ammo like shock, bleed, fire, and maybe blinding or something. I’m just tired of the “more enemies with more health”. This is one I’m not sure about, but what if we took away a primary gun slot. Forced you more into a role. Instead of having a sniper and assault rifle you were a true glass canon sniper. Or you only had an Lmg with a true tank build. Also survival and heartland as DLC modes in D3
I play this game through Steam and I still lose main missions after logging in and out and I can't help people or request other people's help in the network. I'm slowly cutting back my game time with this game.

I’ve taken a break from this game. Starting playing actual polished games like ER, DD2, or BG3; games more worth my time. It feels more of an obligation to logon now. I’ll check it out when new content drops, but between the devs and the playerbase clearly not knowing what they want from this game; I’m burnt out.
Hey R.G it's great that you are still hyped and making content for Div. I used to get excited to watch updates and content from you and other content creators. Unfortunately, I lost the mojo for it recently. The Devs for The First Descendant are really listening to their community, fixing bugs, updates, improvements, and many things even though the game is still few weeks old and free. Nothing is like Div, but it sure feels nice to not fall on deaf ears or worse being played. Barely played Div 2, less than 10 hrs since the release of The First Descendant with almost 5K hrs locked in the Div 2 since launch. I lost the hype and respect for the Div franchise at the moment, what a shame.

Many in the comments are assured of a delay- given that this new release window is already 1 year later than its original intended launch date, I think it's pretty safely locked for Y6S3. I also don't think they're too unsure of its identity, since they paired its announcement in 2023 by saying that it would have multiple Open World zones and Main Missions, akin to how WONY was structured. Great thoughts though- I'm interested to see how it plays out!

I'm still playing, though it's pretty boring these days - I'm primarily just grinding for exotic components to keep maxing out my builds. Div 2 is not just my main game, but pretty much my only game. If I had anything else to play, I would probably main that and put Div 2 on the back burner for now, but there's nothing else out there that I'm interested in. So, needless to say, I'm definitely looking forward to the DLC.
Sure, Marketing is a strong instrument. Coca Cola sells poison to the humanity but is one of the biggest group on Earth. The announcement of year 4 development made me keep playing. I originally wanted to play the campaign a second time only and leaving again. The outlook on new playable content made me realize excited. What followed was pure frustration. No new missions, no new open world activities, no new areas to explore, no development of the existing maps in NY and DC but modes I don’t like to play, re-re-repetition called season and loot I don’t care about. I hope the Brooklyn DLC is more than a 5h playthrough waiting years for it. I am happy that this is not a DLC like Only that required additional leveling and grind. I am looking forward for it and I will definately buy it.
Walking back seasonal character was bad. I’ve talk to people that have left the game and they said they would have come back if seasonal character where brought into the game. The power creep in this game is real and seasonal character putting everyone on the same level would be great to get old friends back in the game. People just want to camp in front of spawn doors with min max builds and are afraid of losing their mules. Having everyone starting at a new base level every season makes returning players feel like they are helping and gives veteran players something to grind for. I only play this game when all the manhunts are released cause the loot is poor and you get all the new gear on the battle pass so there is no reason to grind for it. Seasonal character gives people a reason to get on every day and grind out a couple of levels. Now all seasons 2.0 is going to be is a new manhunt format with a new difficulty on the end mission. YAWN. I guess I’ll just log on at the end of the season and get it all done again.
I will say I havent touched The Div as much as I love it since The First Descendant has dropped. It came right when it was needed because the repetition in The Div was getting tiring. Until the DLC or a map expansion with new areas, missions, and control points come I have taken a break. The same missions, and recycled manhunts with new names has gotten old. We need new content. Real new content.

The time is now especially with Bungie and the state of Destiny 2 (D3 cancelled). But Massive and Ubi need to get chatty and stop these dark comms. The more they wait, the more it fades and the more games are released.
I have to add, the state of TD2 is ridiculous. Yet another patch, yet more issues. this needs to stop ASAP. I still cannot log in on PC, it freezes at 19% all the time.
The fact of the matter is that this game has had bugs for years, and we sit there and just dealt with it. We deserve better. Then TFD comes out, and the devs listen and actually fix things fast. What does that say about the devs at massive? They would rather take their vacation before fixing the problems they put in the game. That is what they think of us. They don't care and never did.
Are veteran players even still playing this?, The game has had its life sucked out of it, constant bugs & crashes, 90% trash gear/weapons & same content ppl have been grinding for years. Since Heartlands cancellation i have zero trust for Ubisoft. A massive own goal scrapping that game especially as it was so close to being finished. So im done with this game until Division 3 & even then i expect multiple delays & given recent layoffs at Bungie i wouldnt be suprised it happening at Ubisoft due to mismanagement & definitely not having actual gamers at the heart of their decisions, such as cancellation of Heartland but continuing to throw money at Skull & Bones.

I haven't done a single Season in Div2 [still farming Ferro's Mask plus my backlog], more speaking on game trends in general...I want to game, not grind or devote a 40hr work week on 1 Ind title when I own around 300 or so JUST on PS4/PS5, etc. I could only IMAGINE how bad it'd be if I was on PC & didn't have several hundred obsolete/unplayable games on prior Gen consoles - it's simply just not a realistic expectation Co's tend to have towards the req'd time-sink w considering things like daily life & real-world obligations etc. Also the game industry/Dev idea a game cannot be "big" without repetitive & tedious grinds [generally speaking/not Div specific] is just absolutely incorrect, lazy, out-dated & just REALLY needs to go/be discarded, in general...IMHO, anyway)
I just want to finish the weekly seasonal rogue intel missions so I can go back to playing other games until more new content come into the game the next couple months I’ve honestly just been so bored of the game for a while I don’t hate the game but I’m just waiting for the game to update more during the next month or two with more stuff I can grind out armor, weapons skins etc maybe some new cosmetic stuff I can grind out with textiles or something like that
I stopped playing TD2 as it was always the same. I am missing the additional content. The "manhunt" is boring and no surprising gameplay as we had f.e. in the season where we had run the missions backwards. The story is on another side. Therefore I have to play the manhunt, but that's all for now in my case.
Brooklyn DLC is going to come out when George RR Martin finishes his Game of Thrones: Song of Ice and Fire series. Plus still can't get into the game. It's been like this for days.

im still wary of brooklyn dlc. yeah wony should been a dlc not expansion - but it also shouldnt gated max level, and return to washington map. even now as they struggle with removing those arbitrary limits, i deleted an agent because they had the watch, but it showed on login as level 40 not SHD level, because they had gone to NY but not killed keener. i know ppl will say keener isnt difficult. i know how to beat keener at the boss fight, but its no fun at all doing first disable missile then going back up near the entrance and shooting keener from there. so UNfun in fact i just deleted an agent rather than go to liberty island and kill keener. so i am wary of brooklyn. devs on this game have a history of forcing bad decisions on players. go to NY and kill keener with all your SHD tech unavailable because he hijacks it - but you cant hijack HIS tech. and you cant get level 40 except in NY or come back until he's dead, terrible decision. there are dozens of examples in div 1 and div 2 - div 1 the nagging of benitez to talk to kekitch any time you go near the BoO to play a game mode you can't matchmake for because nobody plays it, though at least 1000 just on steam play div 1 daily. or the little login nag that the devs try to make you play something, which also pops up when you are doing control points or something because the devs think unless you engage with their preferred content you arent playing it right. PLEASE roguegold, if you have ANY clout with the devs, mention these irritating things and tell them 'don't tell us how to play the damn game all the time, we paid you money let us play it when and how we want'. so they dont waste lines on code with a popup 'suggested content' you have to hold a controller button to dismiss but cant turn it off forever in options.
It's not helping that the agent assist feature still isn't working properly. You used to get random requests for backup, now you can only assist someone by going into the menu and selecting it.

Rumors and speculations that’s all I got from this video post. Day one Div 1-2 player and the constant disappointments that Massive has been dealing just makes me not trust them anymore. After the Heartland cancellation, just made me feel like their incompetence knows no bounds. I only play Division 2 when the new manhunt blues clues is live, farm it with my 4 maxed out agents and go back to Once Human, at least that game gives me the Heartland experience for now until the Brooklyn dlc comes out, and who knows when that will be.
Prepare for disappointment. Guarantee the Brooklyn DLC gets delayed due to production hell. (And I'm not a hater, I love The Division. However, I'm also a realist).
They need to do a Gear Score 50 regrind and balance with the DLC this will get everyone back on a level playing field, which is what they wanted to do with seasonal characters
The first descendant is fire in my opinion and haven't stopped playing it.... The devs have been communicating with us gamers. I haven't played division since first descendant came out it's fun to me and there are so many people that came from div and also plan on staying. I played div for years and as of recently I decided to stop playing heres a very small summary of what I see. First i noticed that the devs were trying to cater to new players by adding raid guns in the DZ. Something most VETS had to work for. Now anyone and their mama can get it from sheer luck. Appearal items that had requirements or had simply expired were brought back. Expertise was brought in but eventually taken away from conflict. It was almost removed from dz. A certain recruiter outfit was being sold for a limited time only just to be put in the store again. Ill skip a lot of other small gripes but the biggest one was seasonal characters. Their explanation was to bring everyone to a level playing field...... For newer players and the not so skilled will probably love that. But for vets who are strongest as can be do you guys honestly think its fair to strip us of the things we worked hard to get over the YEARS!!!!! NOPE..... Lol and now we have player brackets in the DZ. They saying a big fuk yall vets who stuck with us and cater to the new players that will probably quit after a few weeks. Oh and I forgot to mention they wanted to take expertise from seasonal characters tooo. So i asked myself why bother putting it in the game in the first place. Gold says div devs are communicating about these connection issues. Ha ha ha he just trying to make it look good to keep us watching his videos. If he doesn't hype up the game his audience would dwindle. Just saying you might be biased gold but I definitely recommend the first descendant to everyone who plays div. Personally I think the reason we haven’t had a reveal of the dlc yet is that it’s still not ready. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s gonna be delayed. Or worse cancelled Hope not 🤞🏻
When I look at this I see pretty much the same doubt. Well basicly 3 possible reasons for not revealing news about new DLC that are all related to this.
1. DLC isn't even near ready yet and they are pretty sure that they can't make it in time if at all
2. After these recent changes they don*t actually know how the new DLC will be part of the game and to who they should really be marketing this (Like RG said in the video, "marketing is a powerfull tool). Is it going to be new area to NYC map or separate location like Pentagon. And is it even "Brooklyn" despite all information points to that and we know it was the original plan. Can't reveal if you don't even know what to call it yet.
3. They are just waiting a better time to reveal the news to get a better impact. If you have a big good/interesting news it's not the best situation to reveal that in the middle of turbulence/shit storm. You might think that good news would "clear" the bad news but it won't. If the DLC is delayed significantly, I think I’m out. Been with this game for years and I don’t have a lot of confidence this development team will deliver anything that makes me want to stick around.
More than got my monies worth with TD2, I’m not mad or anything. I’ve just been playing other things.
Even with seasons 2.0 and story DLC I can’t see them making this game into anything I’m going to want to play for the 4 years it will take TD3 to come out. If in fact this game ever gets released. I do have my doubts.
The crashing on character selection is a strange one. For me, it crashes at 9% loading and it does it four times. My game always loads on the fifth try. Four crashes every time.

This season is really boring for me, I play it enough to do the man hunts and get the backpack trophies. Right now I am finding First Descendant more interesting to play. Just my 2 cents.
I love the game, but to be honest the marketing strategy of division is pretty bad. Why they don't advertise the brooklyn expansion? Sometimes i believe the developers don't believe in their product anymore. I hope i'm wrong with that statement!
It's still minimum 6 months out- and there's definitely cases of advertising something too early, and then losing the momentum that could've otherwise been captured in a shorter marketing cycle (Heartland being announced *way* too early, for instance). I think them beginning to tease/reveal it in Q3/Q4 of this year makes the most sense

I want to buy a new DLC for Division, and if the Brooklyn one is meaty enough, I VERY likely will. I've always considered Division to be a better paid product value than Destiny, for example, but...I don't know, UbiSoft Forward seemed like the perfect place to do it, and I don't know if it's on Ubi for not having faith in Massive or Massive not having anything to show for whatever reason. Especially with Bungie having mass layoffs yesterday and Destiny being seriously on the ropes after Final Shape, this is the prime time for Division to step back into the spotlight and show people that they're "really really back," and not just string players along thinking they're "back" when they're not actually.
I'm rooting for this game, but...I'm not really seeing a ton that's concrete yet. Waiting a few ticks before getting excited or interested.

Personally, what bores me about The Division are the skills. I wish they would function more like abilities in warframe, the first descendant, Destiny, or Outriders. It would make build diversity more fun.

I think you are spot on regarding marketing. Love makes the world go around but money greases the axels. Money and marketing are intertwined, from the gaming industry to the cosmetic industry and everything in between. And marketing is another form of communication which is critical to product viability. Agree the Division 2 is in a bit of a rough spot right now, yet I still play it almost on a daily basis. Yes, it is a bit stale doing the same old content over and over again, but at the end of the day I like the game play offer through D2. Personally, I am looking forward to the DLC drop but even more stoked about Division 3.

The two Problems iam having are
1) calling for back is not working
2) The screen going completely black were are I can't see anything and I end up dieing because of it .this also happened when I match make with other players
1) it's on the Known Issues Board so a fix is coming
2) That's mean you have been blinded lol. It's an accessibility feature (games like Call of Duty have it too). Instead of having a white flash screen blind you in real life you get a black screen (it's easier on the eyes)
[ps: if the enemies are pulsed you will notice that you are still able to see them]

I think the biggest problem for new players with the division 2 is the gear and stat systems, there are so many new players who have no clue what does what and have rainbow builds, when you help them out sometimes they get what you mean for making lets say dps builds but for tank builds you need to teach them again. Division 3 needs to double down on a advanced interactive tutorial that is non intrusive, doesn’t lock the player into the screen tutorial as if the player is playing the game already they are already interested in the game so willingness to learn might be high, and explain mechanics in practical ways such as scenarios or maybe asking the player what kind of build they want by selecting preset paths so as they collect loot the game will tell them hey you need that gear piece for a dps build! Let me show you why now.
Confusion is killing alot of new players and as a returning player i see it all too often, something needs to change
My go to build for this event: Belstone chest with double crit and obliterate, Liquid Enginneer backpack with all red attributes (double crit and weapon dmg), the rest of striker pieces with crit, St Elmo’s and Rock N Roll. Armor on kill from the two Belstone pieces and Gunner, plus Perfect Blood Sucker is nice.
My only armor attribute is the chest piece because I can’t seem to get one with double crit and obliterate to drop 😡. I may try a belstone with Intimidate after looking at your build, very curious now.

I can only guess that they will be cautious, releasing later before sooner. Less time for it to be picked apart and build expectations that might not pan out.

Two annoying things i am dealing with, 1 is not all that common and other is a bug i think!
1) Game crashes in a very interesting way. Namely, picture freezes and i cant even close it via alt-f4.
Interesting bit is that, my PC doesnt even recognize that the game crashed. It says that
''this program is running normally'' and i have to force quit it from task manager!
2) Fragile armor directive keeps bugging out on me! It says that medkit should remove the debuff
but, quite often it just doesnt do it and only things that gets rid of it is, either i die or relog!!!
I'll have to look into #1, haven't heard of that myself. For #2, Fragile Armor is unfortunately bugged, been that way for a few years and there hasn't been word of a fix.
@@RogueGold That crash as i mentioned is not happening too often but, sometimes it does. Also, after i force quit and try to restart the game, it tends to crash again in a loading screen when its around 7-9% and thats not even the first loading screen that leads you to the character selection screen. Its the other one that leads you in the game!
On top of that it screws up resolution selection and sets the game in windowed mode allthough i play in full screen mode!
they need to fix the random Delta crashes and random lock ups....the game has been plagued with it since day 1

Black Diamond was going to be the title of Year 5 Season 4, before things got reshuffled and they changed their plans to go straight into Year 6 Season 1 after Y5S3. We'll have to wait and see if Year 6 Season 3 (when the DLC is now set to release) will now be called Black Diamond, or if their plans there changed altogether

on tuesday i was getting automatic crashes when trying to login. i updated the ubi install then verified files and it worked fine. I would like to see them incorporating the seasonal character idea into hardcore mode with exclusive items and content. It wont affect the people who complained about seasonal characters because they don't play hardcore mode anyway.
When I tried logging in on Tuesday, I kept getting an error notification for Mike 3? stated that "ubisoft was unavailable". I took a screenshot after several intermittent attempts over a couple of hours.
I was able to go back in today, but even Golden Bullet isn't enough motivation right now.
Just spitballing here. What if they used this time before D3 to start experimenting. One thing I’d like to see is how the game would be if attributes were scaled down by half. Instead of a max of 15% of whatever stat it’s 7.5%. Or what if gear was gray: 1-2% of whatever attribute, green: 2-4% (not gear sets), blue: 4-6%, purple: 6-8%, gold: 8-10%, named gold: 6-8% but with a talent, exotics 10-12% with talent. You’re forced to choose between maxing attribute power with having a useful talent. Also I’m not sure if the named gold should be removed for the gear sets or how the having the same three pieces of a certain brand, like Sokolov, would work.
New enemy types as world tiers progress. Like what if there was a guy for the true sons who, let’s say at world tier 5, instead of shooting you, instead runs to the soldiers giving them special ammo like shock, bleed, fire, and maybe blinding or something. I’m just tired of the “more enemies with more health”.
This is one I’m not sure about, but what if we took away a primary gun slot. Forced you more into a role. Instead of having a sniper and assault rifle you were a true glass canon sniper. Or you only had an Lmg with a true tank build.

I’ve taken a break from this game. Starting playing actual polished games like ER, DD2, or BG3; games more worth my time.
It feels more of an obligation to logon now. I’ll check it out when new content drops, but between the devs and the playerbase clearly not knowing what they want from this game; I’m burnt out.
Personally im just asking for the bare minimum, fix the bugs and crashes so the game is in a good place and ppl can play without many problems

Hey R.G it's great that you are still hyped and making content for Div. I used to get excited to watch updates and content from you and other content creators. Unfortunately, I lost the mojo for it recently. The Devs for The First Descendant are really listening to their community, fixing bugs, updates, improvements, and many things even though the game is still few weeks old and free. Nothing is like Div, but it sure feels nice to not fall on deaf ears or worse being played. Barely played Div 2, less than 10 hrs since the release of The First Descendant with almost 5K hrs locked in the Div 2 since launch. I lost the hype and respect for the Div franchise at the moment, what a shame.

Many in the comments are assured of a delay- given that this new release window is already 1 year later than its original intended launch date, I think it's pretty safely locked for Y6S3. I also don't think they're too unsure of its identity, since they paired its announcement in 2023 by saying that it would have multiple Open World zones and Main Missions, akin to how WONY was structured.
Great thoughts though- I'm interested to see how it plays out!

I'm still playing, though it's pretty boring these days - I'm primarily just grinding for exotic components to keep maxing out my builds. Div 2 is not just my main game, but pretty much my only game. If I had anything else to play, I would probably main that and put Div 2 on the back burner for now, but there's nothing else out there that I'm interested in. So, needless to say, I'm definitely looking forward to the DLC.

The announcement of year 4 development made me keep playing. I originally wanted to play the campaign a second time only and leaving again. The outlook on new playable content made me realize excited.
What followed was pure frustration. No new missions, no new open world activities, no new areas to explore, no development of the existing maps in NY and DC but modes I don’t like to play, re-re-repetition called season and loot I don’t care about.
I hope the Brooklyn DLC is more than a 5h playthrough waiting years for it.
I am happy that this is not a DLC like Only that required additional leveling and grind.
I am looking forward for it and I will definately buy it.
Walking back seasonal character was bad. I’ve talk to people that have left the game and they said they would have come back if seasonal character where brought into the game. The power creep in this game is real and seasonal character putting everyone on the same level would be great to get old friends back in the game. People just want to camp in front of spawn doors with min max builds and are afraid of losing their mules.
Having everyone starting at a new base level every season makes returning players feel like they are helping and gives veteran players something to grind for. I only play this game when all the manhunts are released cause the loot is poor and you get all the new gear on the battle pass so there is no reason to grind for it.
Seasonal character gives people a reason to get on every day and grind out a couple of levels. Now all seasons 2.0 is going to be is a new manhunt format with a new difficulty on the end mission. YAWN. I guess I’ll just log on at the end of the season and get it all done again.

I will say I havent touched The Div as much as I love it since The First Descendant has dropped. It came right when it was needed because the repetition in The Div was getting tiring. Until the DLC or a map expansion with new areas, missions, and control points come I have taken a break. The same missions, and recycled manhunts with new names has gotten old. We need new content. Real new content.

The time is now especially with Bungie and the state of Destiny 2 (D3 cancelled). But Massive and Ubi need to get chatty and stop these dark comms. The more they wait, the more it fades and the more games are released.
I have to add, the state of TD2 is ridiculous. Yet another patch, yet more issues. this needs to stop ASAP. I still cannot log in on PC, it freezes at 19% all the time.
The fact of the matter is that this game has had bugs for years, and we sit there and just dealt with it. We deserve better. Then TFD comes out, and the devs listen and actually fix things fast. The game has had its life sucked out of it, constant bugs & crashes, 90% trash gear/weapons & same content ppl have been grinding for years.
Since Heartlands cancellation i have zero trust for Ubisoft.
A massive own goal scrapping that game especially as it was so close to being finished.
So im done with this game until Division 3 & even then i expect multiple delays
& given recent layoffs at Bungie i wouldnt be suprised it happening at Ubisoft due to mismanagement & definitely not having actual gamers at the heart of their decisions, such as cancellation of Heartland but continuing to throw money at Skull & Bones.

(personally, I think 3month seasons were too short - barely played any Div2 but most games have a fair bit of content per Season & I generally dislike Seasons so short that farming them is a 9-5 job if you're holding ANY hopes to complete it. I haven't done a single Season in Div2 [still farming Ferro's Mask plus my backlog], more speaking on game trends in general...I want to game, not grind or devote a 40hr work week on 1 Ind title when I own around 300 or so JUST on PS4/PS5, etc. I could only IMAGINE how bad it'd be if I was on PC & didn't have several hundred obsolete/unplayable games on prior Gen consoles - it's simply just not a realistic expectation Co's tend to have towards the req'd time-sink w considering things like daily life & real-world obligations etc. Also the game industry/Dev idea a game cannot be "big" without repetitive & tedious grinds [generally speaking/not Div specific] is just absolutely incorrect, lazy, out-dated & just REALLY needs to go/be discarded, in general...IMHO, anyway)

I stopped playing TD2 as it was always the same. I am missing the additional content. The "manhunt" is boring and no surprising gameplay as we had f.e. in the season where we had run the missions backwards. The story is on another side. Therefore I have to play the manhunt, but that's all for now in my case.

im still wary of brooklyn dlc. yeah wony should been a dlc not expansion - but it also shouldnt gated max level, and return to washington map. even now as they struggle with removing those arbitrary limits, i deleted an agent because they had the watch, but it showed on login as level 40 not SHD level, because they had gone to NY but not killed keener. i know ppl will say keener isnt difficult. i know how to beat keener at the boss fight, but its no fun at all doing first disable missile then going back up near the entrance and shooting keener from there. so UNfun in fact i just deleted an agent rather than go to liberty island and kill keener.
so i am wary of brooklyn. devs on this game have a history of forcing bad decisions on players. go to NY and kill keener with all your SHD tech unavailable because he hijacks it - but you cant hijack HIS tech. and you cant get level 40 except in NY or come back until he's dead, terrible decision. there are dozens of examples in div 1 and div 2 - div 1 the nagging of benitez to talk to kekitch any time you go near the BoO to play a game mode you can't matchmake for because nobody plays it, though at least 1000 just on steam play div 1 daily. or the little login nag that the devs try to make you play something, which also pops up when you are doing control points or something because the devs think unless you engage with their preferred content you arent playing it right.
PLEASE roguegold, if you have ANY clout with the devs, mention these irritating things and tell them 'don't tell us how to play the damn game all the time, we paid you money let us play it when and how we want'. so they dont waste lines on code with a popup 'suggested content' you have to hold a controller button to dismiss but cant turn it off forever in options.

It's not helping that the agent assist feature still isn't working properly. You used to get random requests for backup, now you can only assist someone by going into the menu and selecting it.

Maybe cuz PVP has been complete trash ever since day 1 lol. The majority of the active player base is doing PVE activities.

Rumors and speculations that’s all I got from this video post. Day one Div 1-2 player and the constant disappointments that Massive has been dealing just makes me not trust them anymore. After the Heartland cancellation, just made me feel like their incompetence knows no bounds. I only play Division 2 when the new manhunt blues clues is live, farm it with my 4 maxed out agents and go back to Once Human, at least that game gives me the Heartland experience for now until the Brooklyn dlc comes out, and who knows when that will be.

Prepare for disappointment. Guarantee the Brooklyn DLC gets delayed due to production hell. (And I'm not a hater, I love The Division. However, I'm also a realist).
They need to do a Gear Score 50 regrind and balance with the DLC this will get everyone back on a level playing field, which is what they wanted to do with seasonal characters

The first descendant is fire in my opinion and haven't stopped playing it.... The devs have been communicating with us gamers. I haven't played division since first descendant came out it's fun to me and there are so many people that came from div and also plan on staying. I played div for years and as of recently I decided to stop playing heres a very small summary of what I see. First i noticed that the devs were trying to cater to new players by adding raid guns in the DZ. Something most VETS had to work for. Now anyone and their mama can get it from sheer luck. Appearal items that had requirements or had simply expired were brought back. Expertise was brought in but eventually taken away from conflict. It was almost removed from dz. A certain recruiter outfit was being sold for a limited time only just to be put in the store again. Ill skip a lot of other small gripes but the biggest one was seasonal characters. Their explanation was to bring everyone to a level playing field...... For newer players and the not so skilled will probably love that. But for vets who are strongest as can be do you guys honestly think its fair to strip us of the things we worked hard to get over the YEARS!!!!! NOPE..... Lol and now we have player brackets in the DZ. They saying a big fuk yall vets who stuck with us and cater to the new players that will probably quit after a few weeks. Oh and I forgot to mention they wanted to take expertise from seasonal characters tooo. So i asked myself why bother putting it in the game in the first place. Gold says div devs are communicating about these connection issues. Ha ha ha he just trying to make it look good to keep us watching his videos. If he doesn't hype up the game his audience would dwindle. Just saying you might be biased gold but I definitely recommend the first descendant to everyone who plays div.
