I just wanted to point something out since I just looked back at Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and came across a connection. In Re:Mind, Yozora says this: "No, this isn't the real world, and I am here. But this isn't what I really look like. How'd you recognize me as Yozora?" In Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Terra says this: “You’re using the name ‘Terra.’ That means you’re seeing me the way you remember me. But your heart is painting the picture it so wants to see. The real me is lost in shadow.” There is a clear connection here but that also makes me wonder what we can infer from these two separate yet similar scenarios. 🤔

I want to give the argument that Yozora's seems to be equal to Sora. Both endings show that it's possible to either to win o lose to the other. However, it has been pretty much confirmed that the ending in which Sora wins is the real one thanks to the data mining, but nonetheless is still hold up the fact that even if Sora can beat him, he's still equal in strength and skill to the point of existing the alternative of Yozora winning. In short i believe that Yozora power rivilze Sora's to the point of being equal, either can one up the other

I’d love a standalone Verum Rex game. It’d be awesome. Imagine if Verum Rex becomes it’s own series - that’d be an instant buy for me without even thinking twice. I also think that a standalone Verum Rex game is coming and the trailer in Toy Box was an actual trailer in secret. That is way too high quality just to be a passing cutscene in a game.
My headcanon is that Nomura really wanted Noctis (from versus xiii) to be in KH, but that fell through when versus xiii was cancelled. Yozora is his way of getting that.

One thing to notice is how heavily the Kingdom Hearts series emphasized trinity: 3 friends, Sora Riku & Kairi 3 companions: Sora, Donald & Goofy. Donald is the spellcaster of the group. Goofy carries a shield which represents defense. Magia is the spell caster of Yozora's trinity, and Aegis means shield and represents defense. Which means Yozora, who's probably the leader of his group is also the main protagonist, much like how Sora is within his own trinity. The two have ALOT in common, and I don't think Magia & Aegis were made up with such coincidence. Nomura definitely planned these similarities. What other main reason is there to change Versus 13's original 4 man roster into 3?

I have recently finished FFXV. The FFXV Citadel reminded me of the building Yozora is on in the secret ending. Let's not forget that in FFXV there are thirteen royal arms to found. Nomura said that the full storyline of Versus XIII is known only to him however I propose that some of those storybeats we already know from FFXV.
The fact that the Sora vs Yozora fight is LITERALLY the KH equivalent of ZeXal's final duel of Astral vs Yuma makes my inner fanboy scream and geek the fuck out.
Yozora being relatable to Noctis brings up the point that Noctis' voice actor is also the guy that does the Master of Masters. Either this is just the devs reusing assets and talent, or there is a greater connection is up in the air.

I don’t think Verum Rex is a hint at a new game, but I do think they were using it to gauge interest in something. Whether it’s the characters or the setting or what, I don’t know but I’m excited to find out. It could also be that they had so many unused assets and concepts from Versus XIII that they wanted to get their money’s worth and use them somewhere.
Nomura is playing 3 Dimensional Chess while where playing checkers. He’s making a tie in game to Kingdom Hearts with a game of a different title in a different universe Where Sora and friends probably don’t even exist and was presented in Kingdom Hearts as nothing more than a Final Fantasy nod with the connecting string being Luxord.

I think its important to remember, also, the Kingdom heart 3 world of Toy Story was specificly stated to be a SPLIT timeline that created that toy story universe outside the main one. The main toy story world may not have verum rex. I believe that will play a role at some point.
Makes me wonder if when Xehanort split the timelines, he not only split some of the toys, but also just created copies of them for that world, and Woody, Buzz, and the others are technically still there. Kinda makes it sad for the split timeline toys, as they can't find a way back, AND they technically aren't even missing, as the originals are still in the prime timeline. So, with this clarity of information i think its PRETTY interesting to theorize what happened in the universe. however they got there, yozora must be in the world of KHuX, which is left behind after all of the dandelions that survive leave that world. after the final battle, when the dandelions leave, the world must still go on. My theory is ephemer is somehow involved, but the keyblade must have died with the dandelions (maybe to secure their world). Yozora must be a real person who got locked in a data world where they are trying to develop new blades, since possibly the key blade never returned to that world. (similar to tron) maybe they unlocked the true kingdom hearts and it broke their world, but yozora gets back to the real world once he dies, so thats why he wakes up in the car like noctis, because he is possibly on the edge of death and waking. this could also be what his two eyes mean (one in reality, one in the data world). Would be an interesting way to tie everything together. Could even factor in TWEWY and how insane those concepts were. Technology was heavily used.
i'm sure that the next KH theme is not going to be based on Disney worlds but video games instead ESPECIALLY final fantasy worlds/characters. might explain why we got cloud and gang in KH
Wow I didn't know Tasuku Haranaka the original voice actor of Denki from my hero academia was voice acting Yozara. Plus he voice act a ton of supportive characters from Ace of Diamonds.
Personally, I am excepting it will be a new IP and probably won't be based on typical FF magic systems. The fight against Yozora showed a unique take on manipulation rather than usual magic and melee.

I would really love to play a actual Verum Rex game, but I slightly think it a Square Enix own over Disney. Since its fits more into Final Fantasy visually and Kingdom Hearts had no Final Fantasy characters shown, until the ReMind DLC. So Square Enix could have snuck a little Final Fantasy type game, get us all excited, and then announce it being release as a actual game, maybe with a different title. And the characters designs may change because it was for the plot that Sora and Yozora had to have, roughly, the same design for Rex to confuse Sora as a Yozora action figure. If this is a Disney own game fine, just make the game so I can play it.

The fact that the Sora vs Yozora fight is LITERALLY the KH equivalent of ZeXal's final duel of Astral vs Yuma makes my inner fanboy scream and geek the fuck out.
Don't forget that Yozora's heart had been replaced and he has connections to the mysterious nameless star.
Yozora being relatable to Noctis brings up the point that Noctis' voice actor is also the guy that does the Master of Masters. Either this is just the devs reusing assets and talent, or there is a greater connection is up in the air.
The last time I watched Toy Story never in a million years imagined the characters would be referring to an unreleased Final Fantasy game. It's wild and I love it.
I don't think Nomura did it on purpose, but having famous Hollywood actor Wallace Shawn (Rex) reference Final Fantasy (Bahamut) is a really nice flex.
I remember watching this “ff 16” trailer where it showed this girl with red and blue eyes after what looks like she absorbed the other girl. I find it weird how yozora has red and blue eyes also. Maybe the two are related?
Has anybody else noticed that the building 104 can also be 10 4 which in CB lingo basically means "I hear you" or exactly the thung Yozora says when he hears Sora?

I don’t think Verum Rex is a hint at a new game, but I do think they were using it to gauge interest in something. Whether it’s the characters or the setting or what, I don’t know but I’m excited to find out. It could also be that they had so many unused assets and concepts from Versus XIII that they wanted to get their money’s worth and use them somewhere.

Nomura is playing 3 Dimensional Chess while where playing checkers. He’s making a tie in game to Kingdom Hearts with a game of a different title in a different universe Where Sora and friends probably don’t even exist and was presented in Kingdom Hearts as nothing more than a Final Fantasy nod with the connecting string being Luxord.

I think its important to remember, also, the Kingdom heart 3 world of Toy Story was specificly stated to be a SPLIT timeline that created that toy story universe outside the main one. The main toy story world may not have verum rex. I believe that will play a role at some point.
Toy story is also the only world where we dont play through the events of the real movie. Not a coincidence.

Makes me wonder if when Xehanort split the timelines, he not only split some of the toys, but also just created copies of them for that world, and Woody, Buzz, and the others are technically still there. Kinda makes it sad for the split timeline toys, as they can't find a way back, AND they technically aren't even missing, as the originals are still in the prime timeline.
God, I'm simultaneously worried none of what just typed made sense, and terrified that playing this series has made it that what I just typed made perfect sense to me.

@@crashboredom2 So very true. I love the series, it's very dear to me for reasons beyond the game itself, but I long ago learned to just say "yeah, ok. I'll roll with it, because why not?" At some things lol
So, with this clarity of information i think its PRETTY interesting to theorize what happened in the universe. however they got there, yozora must be in the world of KHuX, which is left behind after all of the dandelions that survive leave that world. after the final battle, when the dandelions leave, the world must still go on. My theory is ephemer is somehow involved, but the keyblade must have died with the dandelions (maybe to secure their world). Yozora must be a real person who got locked in a data world where they are trying to develop new blades, since possibly the key blade never returned to that world. (similar to tron) maybe they unlocked the true kingdom hearts and it broke their world, but yozora gets back to the real world once he dies, so thats why he wakes up in the car like noctis, because he is possibly on the edge of death and waking. this could also be what his two eyes mean (one in reality, one in the data world). Would be an interesting way to tie everything together. Could even factor in TWEWY and how insane those concepts were. Technology was heavily used.

Wow I didn't know Tasuku Haranaka the original voice actor of Denki from my hero academia was voice acting Yozara. Plus he voice act a ton of supportive characters from Ace of Diamonds.
Personally, I am excepting it will be a new IP and probably won't be based on typical FF magic systems. The fight against Yozora showed a unique take on manipulation rather than usual magic and melee.
So Nomura confirmed that Verum rex will be released and Yozora will be the main playable character?

Yozora is going to bring Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts together in a new way. Yozora is Noctis he’s just not the same FF15 Noctis. It’s going to be sweet when Nomura brings it all together

Sora being reborn into a new world as Yozora? We all think that Luxord's wild card could be the chance for Sora to be revived after abusing the power of waking, but what if it's a second chance? A chance to keep on living. He wouldn't be Sora, but instead Yozora? Maybe the final ending of Yozora fighting Sora is to represent like a Luke vs Vader (himself) from Star Wars Ep. 5, allegory of the cave type of scenario?
I would really love to play a actual Verum Rex game, but I slightly think it a Square Enix own over Disney. Since its fits more into Final Fantasy visually and Kingdom Hearts had no Final Fantasy characters shown, until the ReMind DLC.
So Square Enix could have snuck a little Final Fantasy type game, get us all excited, and then announce it being release as a actual game, maybe with a different title.
And the characters designs may change because it was for the plot that Sora and Yozora had to have, roughly, the same design for Rex to confuse Sora as a Yozora action figure.
If this is a Disney own game fine, just make the game so I can play it.

The nameless star said that his heart was replaced with another...so a bodyswap? Yozora did say that, it wasn't what he really looked like. So they're treating the Yozora they know normally, but its not his body. It could kinda also explain the heterochromia. Eye color is too important.
obviously Nomura is not going to say it is VS XIII, and while he is technically correct in that it isnt the same game, it's pretty obvious they are the same thing
