@The Warrior Scholar what? have you seen 1999 graphics? also the majority of games back then looked a worse than this I would say this still compares to most indie dev games today.
I'm almost certain it's getting more popularity as of late. Before, I went around a decade without it being mentioned at all on RUclips, now I have seen it frequently mentioned on SW videos that aren't related to Republic Commando
Saw Rogue One last night, and honestly I was thoroughly impressed. Darker and grittier; loved it.I thought it was definitely better than Force Awakens, but that's just me.
Totally agree, and it would be nice if they would tie the loose ends that this game has left all those years ago. Cudos for uploading this one! Keep on the good work!
DIRTYGONCH GOTME Takes place between episodes 3 and 4. Moments after turning the republic to an empire Delta squad gets a replacement for Sev. Scorch hated the new guy. Delta squad would be assigned with mostly assignation missions. Hunting down Jedi, clone traitors and any others who threatened the empire. It is said that there would be a mission to attempt to find Sev on Kashyyyk but Delta squad supposedly never got the green light to find there missing brother.
Scorch: "Would you like a large or small crater, sir?" God I love you Scorch! And this game is phenomenal for it's time, and still is today! If this game was remastered with all that we can provide in remastering old games, this could be the best Star Wars game next to the Battlfront series (I do consider the new one to be apart of it, as it is still amazing, but EA being he bastards they are and charging us for additional DLCs is ridiculous!)
It really boggles the mind as to the lack of great Star Wars video games like this.... You'd think with all of the money they've made we would see more greatness like Republic Commando.
+Rapportus Rich Time and time again it is proven that having a near-infinite budget does not result in near-infinitely great games. Publishers and devs who are in it only for the cash, they rush out a game regardless of how bad it is so they can get more cash in. You ever wonder why so many games as of late are sequels? The publishers insist on sticking to a franchise they know has a fanbase, marketing it well, rather than risking something new and potentially great. That is why we don't see greatness like Republic Commando. They'd rather stick to Battlefront because they know it has a large following. But its also a forgettable game because it plays on the same mechanics and same tropes that exist all over the industry. If you want to see a great Star Wars game like this, then you're going to have to learn how to make games yourself and get to it. There's not enough people in this industry who are passionate enough about make a "great game that fans will remember". A lot who grew up playing games but not many who were so undeniable moved by one or two epics.
Finally a Republic Commando movie! I have been wanting this for a long time, and when i lost all hope, you guys bring us what we need! Especially with Rogue One already out.
@@madmonkey642 it definitely is, but I think the appeal of this one aside from the story is that it’s significantly shorter. I like finding out the end of something ASAP and this didn’t disappoint. It's amazing how I still remember this game. It was, and still is, the most beautifully violent Star Wars game that LucasArts ever created. I loved the idea of playing as a Clone during The Clone Wars, but I would've loved to execute Order 66 myself (sorry, that's the Sith Lord within me (not really sorry))
TopDog Xylophone616 I can agree with everything you said, except that Sith Lord stuff. Fuck both the Jedi and the Sith. They’ve brought the Galaxy nothing but suffering. But I would still gladly execute Order 66. Those hypocrites had it coming for how they treated everyone else.

If you think about it, Delta Squad is like the TMNT of Star Wars. All brothers who fight together and are strange in their own ways. Not even sure Sev is Dead, SEV is one Strong guy he's just as Hard to Kill like Chewbacca. I Just Finished Star Wars Republic Commando on the Xbox 360 back in 2021 and have a theory to how he could survive, He fights on using Turbo Laser Turret got some droids destroyed, but one of them fires a E.M.P. Blaster rifle go shut down that turret, so he jumps off his balcony, go through some lower sewer levels, finds a computer to temporarily disable the droids communication grid, along with temporarily disabling the droids from finding him, uses the computer to help boost his signal again, and then the rest of Delta Republic Commando 1,138, Pixer, Scorch picks up his signal, they remove the inhibitor chips Like Commander Doom did, they disobey all orders and including Disobey execute order 66, they rescued him, returns to their posts. And continue defending Kashyyyk, then Order 66 Comes in, they refuse to do it, but Sev still has his Inhibitor Chip forces him to obey it, but then Scorch grabs hold of him, uses a Regular Clone Trooper blaster to stun him unconscious, Pixer uses his chip Dissector machine to cut out the thus extract the Bio behavioral Inhibitor Chip, thus making sure they never follow any Senate politicians Order even Former Supreme Chancellor to Emperor Sheev Palpatine, they continue serving the Remaining Jedi, lie to other Clone Troopers saying Yoda is already dead, Yoda takes them to another Spaceship, Thanks em for Disobeying Excute Order 66. They put themselves in Cryostasis Pods to stopping their Ageing Process, waiting for the Right time to awake them that will be in their sequel they will even meet Doom, Bad Batch, Rex, Wolffe, Cut Lawquane. That perfect time to awaken them is their sequel game that takes place same time as Star Wars Rebels, helping the True Remaing Republic Forces Resistance, this game will not be associated at all with Horrible disney games companies it will also make them official Canon Continuity
One thing I liked about this game was the Battle Droids and their reaction to seeing a grenade landing near them: "Visual Scan Confirmation: Grenade!" "Explosives Detected! Run Away!" "Situational Prediction: Extreme Damage!" "Uh-Oh!" "Oh, no!" "Mommy!" (EC Detonator goes off, frying their circuits with an electrical overload)
See one of the things that a lot of video games severely undervalue is atmosphere. Atmosphere separates good games from great games. This is an example of a great game because the small things set the tone for the game . For example, the staging ground at the beginning of the game with the rain coming down on your visor with troops getting loaded into ships and the epic music playing in the background and, my personal favorite when games do this, displaying Zero Hour with the ominous musical tone in the background. Simple but highly effective
Fat chance you'll see this but i really have respect for how you do your videos you add in the important things and make it feel like a movie almost like your there but not too much too the point it looks like you dont know how to play thanks for the content this game was insane
Thanks man. We play so many games that we don't get to really master any of them. Doing games like this is tough because you know there are people who have played through it hundreds of times so they judge every wrong turn you make. So a lot of the editing is necessary just so we don't look like idiots, but mostly it is to not bore the audience with gameplay but give them enough of the story
Well i would say hard work pays off and no matter what you do you cant impress everyone you guys clearly have a passion for what you do thank you for replying i literally didn't think you actually would, and you're welcome i am being honest, good luck to you guys and i hope you had a good Christmas, much love from Canada.
I've played this game and finished it 10+ times! This is my favorite game!!!! Idc if it's a remastered, or sequel. But I hope that one day.... I'll come out...
I played this game about 2 weeks ago..Now I know why this game is considered to be 'classic', wish I could have played this game when it came out...but back then I wasn't a Star Wars fan (I became a Star Wars fan because of Clone Wars back in 2013) and didn't owned Xbox or gaming PC
Yeah I came here after the Clone Commando’s were revealed as the 2nd Enforcer for Battlefront 2, And D I C E have done a good job referencing Republic Commando, Although it is a missed opportunity not having the option to Switch to first person as the Clone Commando even if it does give a disadvantage online not being able to look around corners but it would’ve been cool nonetheless.
I love the sound of the droids in this game, much better than the cheese we hear from the droids now. I love prequels but this is the way droids should sound
If Disney put me in charge of Star Wars, this would be one of the first things I'd recanonize. Then I'd have a sequel made, combining the ideas of both of the planned Sequels (Rebel Commando and Imperial Commando), following Delta Squad through Order 66 and the rise of the Empire. As the Empire grew darker and darker, and started to try and phase out Clones, Delta would eventually desert, and be picked up by Sev, who would be with the Alliance. From there, the reunited Delta Squad would carry out missions for the Rebels, culminating when they join the ground team on Scarif. The final mission would be a last stand on the beaches, ending when you die, similar to the finale of Halo: Reach, but with your squad at your side. Then I'd have Battlefront 2's campaign be what it was actually advertised as, with the protagonists staying with the Empire to the end, and the story following the end of the Galactic Civil War post-Endor. Of course, I'd also completely rework the post-Endor lore, to set the stage for a fairly different Sequel Trilogy, but I digress. Point is, this game should've gotten a sequel, and I wish I could've given it one.
I never understood Scorch's "Wookie Lifedebts for everyone!" Line, then I played KOTOR. Now I can't help but smile every time I hear it.

The ending of the ghost ship mission is still one of my favourites ever. Getting the big guns firing is epic
Thank you for doing this, I loved this game
We NEED a REMASTER OF THIS LEGEND
I love Sev's confusion when the Advisor mentioned "Disabling Maneuvers" and Scorch is the first one to respond.
Would love a remastered version of this game for current consoles :D
zalla00 agreed
Man I loved this game, played the shit out of it for a while, was even up there with battlefront for me.
One thing I liked about this game was the Battle Droids and their reaction to seeing a grenade landing near them:
"Visual Scan Confirmation: Grenade!"
"Explosives Detected! Run Away!"
"Situational Prediction: Extreme Damage!"
"Uh-Oh!"
"Oh, no!"
"Mommy!"
(EC Detonator goes off, frying their circuits with an electrical overload)
See one of the things that a lot of video games severely undervalue is atmosphere. Atmosphere separates good games from great games. This is an example of a great game because the small things set the tone for the game . For example, the staging ground at the beginning of the game with the rain coming down on your visor with troops getting loaded into ships and the epic music playing in the background and, my personal favorite when games do this, displaying Zero Hour with the ominous musical tone in the background. Simple but highly effective
The atmosphere of this game was so damn good
Honestly this game was so good... The stolen ship levels were some of the most interesting stories I've ever played
Oh! my Imperial Commando, what can i say? you were never born but you were loved like life itself.
Vode An.
God this game is so underrated.
Man, this game is soooo good on so many levels! This is the kind of game that Star Wars needs to make again. I wanna know what happened to Sev!!!
blame disney for buying lucas arts and canceling republic commando 2
Hung Nguyen, Disney can kiss my a$$
Hung Nguyen it was cancelled before the buyout dumbass
The sequel got scrapped waaaaaay before the buyout lmao. Get your facts straight.
How to hate Disney? Make facts up when they are completely untrue.
This is pure nostalgia. Why doesn’t someone make a remaster for this game??!!!?!
I've played this game and finished it 10+ times! This is my favorite game!!!! Idc if it's a remastered, or sequel. But I hope that one day.... I'll come out...
I honestly think that this one has a good chance of being remastered, I hope it does
Alex Arellano you about to come out of the closet?
Been watching this for nostalgia.
This is the way
This is the way!
This is the way
this was the best star wars game besides Battlefront 2
That toi
Republic commando Star Wars game was very amazing, but Brilliant and unbungable!
Meleeing those bugs with your knife was so satisfying, with all that bug blood all on your visor??? Good Times
*I LOVE THEM SO MUCH*
Absolutely love this game
I played this game about 2 weeks ago..Now I know why this game is considered to be 'classic', wish I could have played this game when it came out...but back then I wasn't a Star Wars fan (I became a Star Wars fan because of Clone Wars back in 2013) and didn't owned Xbox or gaming PC
I love this. Its pretty much a war documentary movie. Fantastic!
Now they return to Battlefront to remind people who really rules the battlefield...
Except they suck in that game. No shields, no sniper attachment, can't pick up used weapons on the battlefront, and they move way slower
I LOVED this game. I use to play this game when i was a kid.
AT .50 i would not want to fight a war with these weapons holy
Yeah I came here after the Clone Commando’s were revealed as the 2nd Enforcer for Battlefront 2, And
D I C E have done a good job referencing Republic Commando, Although it is a missed opportunity not having the option to Switch to first person as the Clone Commando even if it does give a disadvantage online not being able to look around corners but it would’ve been cool nonetheless.
This deserves a series!
in terms of gawmeplay this game is legendary
in terms of story its one of the best shooter stories
It’s crazy how much of this I remember from being a kid playing this wow
THIS is one of THE best squad based FPS games there is.
I would LOVE to play s sequel, build like PAYDAY2
I love the sound of the droids in this game, much better than the cheese we hear from the droids now. I love prequels but this is the way droids should sound
I’ve played this game and beat it 5 times to this day I wish the sequel came out best Star Wars game made
48:02 "it's been an honor serving with you" *cannons whole own squad*
the memories of this game is special to me
This would actually work really well on a 360 VR headset if they remastered it for that format.
sirhandelno3 bruh that’d be insane to play who wouldn’t love that o.O
I remember having it on Xbox original
si_lo I still have it and my Xbox
I'd buy an Xbox 360 again just to play this game
Me to me to
Same
Same here
This was such a phenomenal game
Starwars: Rep Com 2: commandos of the old Republic
WAR STARS: ACADEMY JEDI KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC COMMANDO II: BATTLEFRONT 3 😭😭😭
Been so long since I played this... I remember this looking so much better...
This game to me was like halo 2 with Star Wars characters , I loved it so much .
Dude I loved this game when I was a teen this game should have a remaster
The original noble team
The superior noble team
1:16:09 Most heart-breaking moment in video games... ever.
Underrated gem.
62: sounds like a funny but kinda crazy soldier
40: sounds like a badass
07: death.
