I always loved how it wasnt just the Robots, Atlantians and Invaders. Humanity was there giving their best scrap to defend earth even if they were outmatched. I always love in apocalyptic settings where the Military isnt just dead but is actively fighting to protect people even if its futile.
The only inaccuracy is it only shows the US army being one of the few remnant armies when other nations with larger populations that can field similarity (The Chiense and Russians) were wipe out. otherwise it would be cool to see humanity continue to struggle despite the clash of the titans
@@TricksterPoi I don’t see any “inaccuracies”. One of the resources the Hierarchy focuses on harvesting is biomass. So it would be logical they would concentrate considerable power on China. As for Russia… don’t make me laugh. That is all I will say on the matter.

It saddens me that they ran out of time before making Humanity a fully functioning gameplay side, equal to three we ended up getting, as it was planned initially. God bless the modders for trying their best to make it a reality instead.
I looved the concept of this game so much. And was upset as a kid to find you you could never play humans past the prologue. IMO they should have been the 3rd faction past the Novus and Hierarchy. Biased as I am, I always loved taking on the overwhelming horrors of the universe with a solid tank line
This is some Stargate wacky doddle world building and I’m all for it. Modern humans vs Martians from World of the Worlds vs the Asgardians from SG-1 vs Atlanteans
Ah, good ol' Westwood Studios-turned-Petroglyph, who graced us with EMPIRE AT WAR and this gem! I really, really wished they did a sequel. Alas... it was not meant to be.
I vaguely remember this game. Again it was on my potato laptop. Surprisingly though, due to an error of sort by the devs, the most powerful faction in-game are the humans. Their helicopters can trample anything either aliens can dish out.
The fanfictions based in this setting are fairly entertaining, the Hierarchy may be powerful, but Human Resolve tempered with Massari wisdom and emboldened by Novus technology is a force few galactic powers can truly prepare for... or defend against when it is unleashed.
Would have been even better if the factions were barely able to work together against the Hierarchy proper. Hierarchy rebels surviving in small numbers to join the resistance, only for everyone to turn on one another in the aftermath. Humans wanting everyone off our damn world, Novus single-mindedly uncaring just to wipe out their enemy. Hierarchy rebels needing a new resource base for their own war against their former masters. Massari arrogantly demanding the peasants follow their orders... A real free-for-all where once the unambiguous, uniting enemy is defeated, the sole thing keeping us from one another's throats vanishes. It could have been a great setup for a whole series.
Thank you for this, i never finished the game, and it has been stuck in my head for a long time. I finally realized I was so close to beating it. Who new not beating a game can have you thinking about it for a long time.
Loved this game until the ending of the Hierarchy campaign. Losing in a cutscene is rough enough, but then you get shoved into a terrible risk map for a rushed end of the game. I hate played until the end, but man did the game drop the ball for me. And we'll never get the actual Universe At War: Universe conflict that was gonna happen afterwards as well.
Would have been better if the rebels had suffered a loss then joined up with everyone else to destroy the Hierarchy forces... Only once they're gone, everyone turns on one another. Humans want their world, Novus want to destroy the rebels and aren't fussy about collateral damage, rebel Hierarchy want Earth as their new home, Massari arrogantly demanding their 'lessers' submit to their gods... Could have been a hell of a setup for future games!
Imagine this in Command & Conquer , but this game is gem like Act of War , World In Conflict , Supreme Command , Halo War , Homeworld. I wish this game , we can see other nation military unit fight the alien.
I have such good memories of this game and i so wish i could play it now without the need of buying a 360. Im surprised they never putbit on steam, its such a good game.
As far as I understand, the game was published under Sega, and the game appears to be in some kind of legal hell, akin to Westwood Dune RTS games and BfME ones.
Genuinely one of the best RTS games of all time that needs a graphical and technical only remaster. With everything going on with SC2 and the rest the RTS genre, bringing something like this back would be huge, especially since its already console ready. Give us playable Humanity with a full human campaign and make some larger scale style matches with some new maps. That'd be the dream
Never heard of this series but i know it will be great like your other videos Just wanted to check but have you considered doing videos on the Killzone series, Lost Planet series, Zone of the Enders and Vanquish?
Thanks for watching! At the moment I focus on RTS games, but I will return to action games in February. I finished Lost Planet 3 a while ago, but I have to play the other parts to make a video series about the franchise. Killzone and the other games are interesting, too. Many, many games :)
Man I wish they bring this game back into online stores. Good thing there's online resources to download this game, and it's considered free since it's abandonware. I remember playing this on the 360 way back then, before I got a proper PC. The 360/PS3 era really was the last time a bunch of RTS games had a console release. Pretty unique RTS game, especially the factions and how they function.
To bad they don't make games like this anymore ore similar games and also i was disappointed back then that humans didn't have a camping and base building
Man i remember I got this game around the time I was super into CnC generals and tib wars. Box art and extra contents in the game manual made me so hype but I could never get the game to work properly on my computer for whatever reason which sucked
@@GameIntrosFinales All i remember of it is that the game had the exact same walker you can see here, the big bulky one. And it was an FPS with some horror elements. And you play as some guy with normal clothes. Idk it was long ago since i saw that video of it. I don't even remember the video title

this is how it look like if in warhammer 40k human didn't advanced enough to become one of the dominated race in galaxy or if they just decide to come to us before we even have a any space tech 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so basically, it's an free-for-all on our planet haha
I wish like japan the US games show the perspective of other major armies in their own country and how they put up plan like a winter Bfield story from RU, siberia. But only japan does this so games like these are not popular. Wish US did too
China suffers a lot of losses? My... Your intel is toootally getting wrong, Aliens now have surrendered to Mao, they are good farmers and builders now uwu

Actually a setting where the military fight back and is relevant is way more better

Nice, looks like humans vs aliens vs skynet
expcpt skynet is trying to save humanity from the aliens

"Resistance"? "Crysis"? "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" (but it's 3rd Person)?
