I think we need the competition in flighsim because hardware prices are very very high. If with Winwing FCU we can get the same quality with the mini FCU at half the price it will be great news. I hope they can also build other components at reasonable prices because otherwise flightsim hardware is almost inaccessible to many of us.
I'm looking at getting the Radio Management Panel eventually. The amount of 'heads-down' spent tuning the radios while on VATSIM can really be problematic. This will solve all of that. 😁
I have all the hardware/software. Now if I only could find an Airbus fuselage (and passengers crazy enough to fly with me) you’ll see me in the skies soon 😂
I've had the minifcu for less than a month. I must say I absolutely love it, I will definitely be getting the miniEFIS and maybe some other things from them, we'll see.
I would be interested to know if Thrustmaster are planning FCU et al products. It would be good to have this inline with their throttle and sidestick. However, I have my eye on the WinWing product.
Ive built my own a320 inspired cockpit, using predominantly stream deck devices laid out in a manner to mimic the appropriate location and function. Also allowed me to easily transition to various other aircraft. And Stream Deck + is awesome for radio/com use
WinWing for sure. Just got mine FCU and its very good for that price and no TAX like MiniFCU. You can get FCU both EFIS and MCDU for around 400 Pounds.
Provided the quality is good, Winwing have blown Minifcu out of water in terms of value. They have a known track record, and £133 for a full size FCU (£103 early bird pre order currently available) is a cracking price!! I was teetering on the edge of buying mini but I’m so glad I waited. For the same price as mini FCU I’ll most likely get two components of the glare shield (assuming pricing is similar and hoping they might offer an early bird price again) from winwing. Not saying it’s been a cash grab from minifcu, but winwing are able to produce at quantity which will bring it to the masses at more competitive pricing. Whichever way people choose to vote with their wallets, it’s a great time for flight sim having more options is really good for development of products! I hope winwing also come out with some other panels, the mini cockpit panels look awesome but I’m scared of the price!😅
Owner of the MiniFCU but I'm not 100% happy with the quality. It looks perfect but feels fragile. I just pre-ordered the Winwing FCU. Let's see which one I'm gonna sell soon ;)
I really like the miniFCU and axious for them to release the rest of the boxes sometime (provided I can find the room on my ever-shrinking desk.😀). As for the miniFCU, as you mentioned yesterday, now it does work with the FENIX, as well as the FBW A320 and Headwind A330. I am hoping they can get the driver updated to also handle my LVFR/Horizon A319 and A321. I don't expect it would ever be workable with the iniBuilds A300, though.
currently waiting for my mini FCU to be delivered, cant wait. im excited for the mini efis and the mini rmp, the later is going to be a game changer flying on vatsim. as for the other 2 im pretty meh, might get the mini overhead as it would be nice to have things like lights on hand when taxing so you can keep your eyes on the road when lining up on a runway etc.
Great to hear. I just hope that those pieces will work with other planes as well - I sometimes like to switch to the ATR for example and it would be great if the FCU could also be used to control the AP there - of course there will be limitations, as the APs work quite different, but things like adjusting Altitude or so should still work
I just want to see winwing make every part of the A320 cockpit in full scale and at these cheap priced. Let’s go for transponder panel radio panel etc etc. and maybe a throttle with autothrottle motors. And a sidestick with force feedback instead of just vibration 🤞🏻.
i do have the minifcu and I am sure if minicockpit will sell these additional units, i will buy them. For me it increases the immersion even now with the fcu only
Love flying Airbus but love flying Boeing as well. Do these units work across different types of planes? Might need some customization but is that possible?
I own a miniFCU, and competition is a good thing. I'll maybe extend to more modules, or switch to wingwing depending of the quality and price of the bundle
Have pre ordered after seeing this great video. I just wondered if you might run through software and how to mount it as I am not sure if you have to buy brackets, or can it fit in a old Logitech box or onto an Alpha or Bravo? I think the software for Fenix A320 is available April but no idea how long production takes.
Download the driver again. You'll get the latest which works for the FENIX. I removed the previous one (just in case), but you may not need to do that.
Gav, can't wait for the rest of the panels from Minicockpit, won't be daft enough to wait until I have to pay the normal price. As soon as they are launched, I'm all over them.
Definitely getting all those mini cockpit additions. They've been fantastic and the minifcu is awesome. Willing to buy the wingwing too. Will wait and see reviews
Ive Pre ordered the winwingFCU, cant wait i hope ive got the space for the whole glare shield combo, if not i will be moving to the summerhouse, look forward to your review of this soon.
WinWing it's the way... I've been watching few reviews and in my opinion, their price/quality ratio is a no brainer. MiniFCU doesn't stand a chance. Other thing is the fact that I keep seeing everywhere people mentioning MiniFCU size as a plus !!! It is obvious that MiniFCU occupies more desk space.
My MiniFCU should also be shipped anytime now, I did look on the WinWing website and their FCU is available for pre-order at $149 CDN, I paid just over $300 for the MiniFCU !! If the quality turns out to be as good I'll be bummed at that price. Guess we'll wait and see
Well, Im actually a little pissed right now. I did order a MiniFCU back in January. I am awaiting delivery, expected to arrive in the next couple weeks. Last night, I preordered the WinWing FCU as well because I really want the full size version and WinWing already has an established reputation for having quality products. I'm reading of many MiniFCU units with problems like knobs falling off and poor soldering, Luckily, WinWing isnt asking to be paid up front so hopefully, I will see a review from you before I have to pay for it.
I have the Minifcu and absolutely love it. However it is very pricey, especially when you add import tax of £51 to the purchase price. I will think long and hard about any additions.
Competition is great for us the consumers! Anyway, I've been very happy with the miniFCU and even more so with the latest firmware update to use seamlessly with the Fenix. In particular, I am very excited to add the miniEFIS when it is available. That's all I require as I use the overhead panel in the sim and for radios I use the Saitek.
I've got a mini fcu coming and I'm pretty sure I'm going to put it up on ebay. My saitek AP panel does the same job AND it works with stock planes. Did you say the win wing is 100lbs UK?
They are barely managing to ship the Mini FCU, how are they supposed to manage manufacturing, distribution etc. without spending months or even years? I will most likely buy a FCU from Winwing as they have more experience in the field.
@@OrganAviator It turns out some airlines do not include the EXPED button on their A302's due to potential safety issues related to a higher rate of climb or descent. Personally, I would prefer it to be included however, as you said, it does provide the option of assigning it to something else.
I missed the minifcu pre order so I’ve preordered the winwing one. Definitely looking forward to it considering the price and possible future of the rest of the glare shield.
I’ve ordered the winwing. The mounting looks better conceived, it’s not as deep, their products are usually superb and minifcu are taking the piss with their pricing in my opinion.
This was reviewed and shown at German expo the other week very cheap construction guys it does look the part but the build quality is poor compared to mini fcu and rotary clicks no where're near as precise obviously shown in the price point it sells at but it does what it says

I'm from Australia, what I love about wining is you can pre order mini FCU from their Australian distributor..
Just preordered the Winwing FCU.
8:07 most exciting part of the video
Rather random! Will need to edit that out 🤣

This 1:1 FCU and future mods will be great with VR! All you need to do is put them in the right place and immersion will be amazing!

using Mobiflight, so much easier than mousing switches

I ordered the Winwing FCU 2 months ago and still no payment e-mail so I guess the demand was really high 😂
Already pre ordered the wingwin.
every time before landing when i disconnect the automatic pilot, i have a message in red below the FOB information, how to avoid that ?
So he price is just for the FCU? Some people were saying that for that price it included both evils 1 & 2 as well. Can anyone confirm this?
It's $129 all in for the FCU 1.1, only. Friend just ordered.

I can’t wait for your review of this.
i have the mini fcu , streamdeck i use for overhead and ecam so the mini efis is my next buy
24hrs after mobiflight released a mini overhead on their site too
